Then we got a digital alert that the order was canceled without any reason given. We called the restaurant, and they did not have any idea what the hell we were talking about. They told us the driver picked up the food and they couldn't help us. But they also didn't understand why we got the cancellation. We have had many great orders from this restaurant but last week we placed an order via Uber Eats that turned bad and could have been horrible. I have a shellfish allergy and I ordered the house chow mein minus shrimp. I stated that I have an allergy on the notes. I have ordered it this way before and never had an issue. As I started to eat it, I noticed it did not taste normal and began to investigate to find shrimp in the chow mein. I contacted Uber Eats and they were just like ok, we will let them know to be more careful. Had I have eaten more, I would've ended up in the hospital. No refund or apology from the restaurant. This should be a 4.5! We decided to give the new management a try yesterday and took the whole family in for an impromptu wedding feast. Things are entirely different from the disastrous order out of 7/6. It was fun and a good time was had by all. We gave the house a free hand with what to cook for the large group and that worked out very well. Everything was fresh and tasty. Yum! Yum! Yum! House Wonton Soup is a must for any visit I make and really could be a meal in itself! For $5 the small is a huge serving and could be shared. My partner (in crime and shenanigans) had the hot n' sour soup and really enjoyed it, once again small size is huge for both! Mongolian Beef at 3-stars is packed with flavor and punch. It's fried and not real saucy but very tasty! Pow-pow! Almond Fried Chicken is not that exciting, while the portion is huge the chicken and fried breading was really bland and sauce was not real flavorful (but orange in color) and sprinkled with chopped peanuts. Not sure I'd suggest but others seem to really like it. Friendly service and hard working folks. The atmosphere is warm and comfortable. The lunch menu comes with tea, a choice of soup, a spring roll and either steamed or fried rice. Honestly, the portion was more than enough. I didn't see the option on the menu but I wish I could have ordered a combo plate. I opted for the General Taos chicken. It was marked as spicy on the menu but I wasn't asked how hot I would like it. It did have a little heat to it but I would have liked a little more. The chicken was prepared in small balls which perplexed me a little and it that left room for too much breading in places. The heater was on pretty high and it keeps the restaurant pretty warm. You won't need your coat while eating. I might come back, it's not the worst I've had however no where near the best either. If you haven't been, I'd say give it a try and see what you think. read more

I ordered for delivery last night. I checked over the reviews and menu and decided on a basic meal. I requested plates/chopsticks. They did not come with the meal. You know what else did not come with the meal...RICE. I got an app and a main dish, no rice or noodles. I will probably order again, but please read the menu before you order. Will never in life set foot in this place ever . After informing the waitress (I believe also owner) of finding a hair inbeded in my food I was made to feel like a liar. Two bites later my husband also finds hair in his food that he pulled out right in front of her and still denial. No one that came out of the kitchen was wearing a hair net or had their hair tied back yet she claimed it couldn't possibly be from anyone there. So ultimately implying that not only did I plant hair in my own food but took the time to also do it to my husband's food. What would be the purpose? To not actually eat when that was the purpose for going there in the first place? We're not talking after us nearly finishing our meals, we're talking two bites into it with a full plate of food. Clearly the $13 price tag wasn't the issue, nor the fact besides one other couple that came in after us we were your only customers. To top it off the staff including some young children proceeds to gather around out of sight of the dining area but within hearing distance to discuss it and make jokes in broken language that I actually understood. So I spoke up so they could know that I could hear them and asked that they not insult my intelligence and call us crazy. Shocked that I actually understood what was said she comes back to the dining area and offers to remake the dishes, which should have been her first response. But no absolutely not. No thanks. Then she goes back and they continue to talk wasting more of our time. I asked if we could please just get our bill so that we could pay and leave. Still no apologies, nothing. Brought out fortune cookies and was billed full price and I could care less. If you're that hard up and treat your customers like they're lying to you then I hope it was worth it. I have never felt so disgusted. I have been to this restaurant several times and never had an issue but after the way I was treated tonight never again. I usually would not even take the time to go into so much detail but this was just over the top. Not sure if it was racial or just bad business tactics. Either way you have been warned. read more

This is the best overall chinese food in Everett. We had Mongolian Beef, Generals, and Almond Chicken. All were very good. The restaurant is much bigger and nicer than it seems from the street. The staff was courteous and just attentive enough. The prices were slightly higher, but the overall quality was as well. There is more (but not enough) parking in back. You should try it. read more

It was perfect on a cold night when we simply just don't want to go anywhere anymore. The flavor for both was great. The House Special Fried Rice actually had beef, fish, and shrimp inside. For the same price as Shrimp Fried Rice, I'd go with the House Special from now on. Equipped with a two word name that sounds like it was taken from a name generator, the fish tank in the entrance, the Chinese New Year decoration that never get taken down. You know the drill, you eat in so you get the free soup and tea with your meal. Go for lunch because the price is basically half of the dinner price. You have all the classic options with a side of rice or chow-mien. Seafood is more expensive. Massive portions that will leave you feeling sick yet somehow hungry an hour later. These places are a dying bread from the last generation. My grandmother used to take me to places like this maybe four days a week when I was little. While this food is not "authentic" or original it is classic and nostalgic. Everything comes out hot and fresh and usually is pretty quick. New favorite lunch spot in town. read more

I was super disappointed the last time I went here. I'd been going for years on the QT. The family that owns/runs the restaurant is the same as before, but the kids are bigger now. What was disappointing was the food. What used to be tasty and spicy this time was drab and bland and not anywhere near as palatable as it has been previously. If this is the "best" Chinese cuisine in the whole city of Everett, then I am DEEPLY saddened! This is one of those places I tried due to it's proximity to my living quarters and based on the glowing reviews from the other posters here on Yelp. Maybe it was an off day in the kitchen? Maybe I ordered the wrong dish? Maybe my taste buds are a little off today? Whatever the case, my order of Mongolian Beef lunch special was very VERY reasonably priced at 5.50. I wanted to order something atypical because if you can't get the basics right then it doesn't equal a great all around experience in my opinion. The service was lightning fast, one star for that. My food was ready within 6 minutes, one star for that. The restaurant is tiny but inviting, and the service was certainly friendly. The food, praised highly by other Yelpers here, however, left A LOT to be desired. Spring roll was pretty flavorless, and was full of cabbage and scallion and little else. Meh. The hot and sour soup I ordered looked promising- It resembled my favorite Chinese restaurant in Terraces' hot and sour almost to a T. The hot spicy sour flavor, however, was strangely absent. As a matter of fact, it didn't taste like much at all. It was bland. I added some soy sauce, a LOT of soy sauce, and it did little to help. The fried rice that came with the meal was rice only. No egg. No carrot. No peas. No meat. No scallion. Nothing but fried brownish looking rice. And it smelled and tasted of old cooking oil. FAIL. The Mongolian beef was on par with the caliber, texture, and flavor of the heat-lamp Mongolian beef at Safeway up the street from my house. It was EXTREMELY salty, a stark contrast from the soup. Nothing wrong with that, if you like soft, jelly-like masses of gooey over-salted under spicy beef. I like my beef to have texture, personally. My grandma, who wore dentures for a large part of her life, would certainly have loved this Mongolian beef, as it took little to no mastication to get it to melt apart in my mouth. If I had paid the full entree price of $9.50 cents for this, I would have been absolutely livid. But since it was lunch, the bill was only 5.50. I felt like I was eating last night's leftovers. You may like Chinese food like this. Nothing wrong with that, but I have had good and bad Chinese food all over the country and Beijing Garden came up severely lacking. There are MUCH better choices a little farther south if one is willing to drive a little farther (which I DEFINITELY am). My favorite Chinese place. I get delivery. It is always prompt, polite and the food arrives hot! I always get the same thing: sweet and sour spareribs; bite size pieces of rib in a rich sauce. It's not the ubiquitous, viscous, cornstarch thickened sauce typical of sweet and sour dishes. I get bbq pork fried rice (lots of bits of pork and veg), almond fried chicken (the breading's thickness makes for a very crispy coating) and mixed veg (a little crunchy for me, but that's personal preference. Fresh, flavorful Chinese food in an old-school Chinese restaurant atmosphere; this place is as good as it gets. Bar none. The list of "family style" dinners for two provide enough variety that you're absolutely assured of getting all your favorites by ordering one of them. (Why do these places always serve ice cold little slabs of BBQ Pork? It's insane. Our waitfress was quick and efficient. Every entre was cookied to perfection; the vegetables firm and crisp, retaining every bit of flavor. We added an order of deep fried prawns and they were absolutely the best I've ever had. Not greasy at all; the batter cooked to a golden brown and interestingly, cooked "by twos" so it almost looks like they split the prawn to make a "circle" out of it - but its two full prawns under that delightfully light and flavorful batter! Stunning prawns. Absolutely stunning. The restaurant building itself is a relic from a by-gone era - which only makes the place more charming - and the decor is distinctly "Chinese restaurant" from the prints on the wall, to those lanterns they always have hanging about. They've got the a-typical big fish tank in the entryway. The dining room is a very warm and inviting space. I received terrible service here. I ordered three dishes to go, and I received only two of those dishes initially. When I asked them about the third dish I had ordered, they blamed me for not ordering the third dish in the first place! I did order three dishes, and I repeated my order twice to make sure they heard me. However, they blamed me for something that was their fault. I ended up having to wait even longer for my third dish. When I got home and tried the food, I just found it too salty. I love salty food, and it was just too much for me. I worked in Everett for 13 years and tried just about every Chinese restaurant. All were mediocre until I tried the Beijing Garden. I was visiting a friend, Larry, who was working next door at Hatloes when I first discovered Beijing Garden. At that time is was only open for about 6 months. Being curious I gave it a try. The food was excellent (and so was the service!) I'm picky about Chinese food and have only discovered two really good Chinese restaurants between Richmond, BC and Seattle and Beijing Garden is one of them. The other is the Golden House in Mukilteo. My wife is half Chinese and before moving to Washington I lived near a large Chinese community were there was lots of really good Chinese restaurants. The competition between Chinese restaurants was so fierce that if the restaurant wasn't excellent it would disappear Darwinian style. So I'm use to eating at great Chinese restaurants were most the clientèle are Chinese. Well you might call this a Yelp Success Story. I looked on Yelp for a good Chinese restaurant a few months ago and saw rave reviews for Beijing Garden. I went there with a friend and we both ordered different meals. Mine was General Tsao Chicken. I forget what my friend ordered. We both asked for no spice and our meals both came out pretty spicey. I was turned off by this, even though the meal itself was good overall. Because Yelpers gave it such high ratings, I went back again and made it a point to tell them ABSOLUTELY NO SPICE. Both meals were perfect this time. Very reasonable and great tasting. Since then, I have been back a few times and have always had great meals. I even encouraged my friend to go back and they agreed that as long as you make it clear to keep the spice out (if that is your thing), then the food is excellent. I've ordered delivery twice and been pleasantly surprised! Most of the Chinese food in Everett has been pretty bad if I'm brutally honest. On both orders the Family Style Tofu was just like I remember it and the Sweet and Sour Pork was light and crispy. The BBQ Pork Fried Rice is what sold me though, it looked heavy with soy so I was doubtful, but the rice is well seasoned and the pork was perfectly cooked. There are nice sized bits of pork that are well cooked and not just hunks of pork fat. Be warned: you will want to keep eating that rice until you feel like you will burst! The Spring Rolls are good, but the Crab Rangoon was sweeter than I am used to. Still good, maybe that is more typical here, but I thought it was a little odd. If you still live in the dark ages, they are pleasant taking your order over the phone and I have had no complaint about delivery times. read more

Just ordered with these guys based on their good Yelp reviews. Was looking for a good restaurant, as I usually order from Peking Duck because its close. This place blows Peking Duck out of the water. I'm a sucker for won ton soup... I usually make a meal out of it, ordering a big portion and adding rice to it once I eat all of the won tons. This place has the best wonton soup i've ever had. It tastes like a good home made chicken noodle soup. It contains shredded chicken, beef AND prawns, as well as a medley of good fresh veggies. Fairly fast delivery as well, no 2 hour wait. Also should mention they deliver the soup in heavy duty plastic sealed containers, not flimsy styrofoam(like Peking Duck does, and i've had them burst on me before, spilling soup everywhere). The large portion is TWO large plastic containers. Really good deal for what you get. A+ from me. Edit: My boyfriend also ordered Phad Thai, and said it was excellent. I love lunch at Beijing Garden. It is crazy cheap for the HUGE portions and I could eat their hot and sour soup every day and never get bored with it. The owners and rest of the staff are very friendly. I really only come here for lunch since its so cheap. Their dinner menu is pretty comparable to other Chinese restaurants as far as selection and price. Definitely the best Chinese restaurant in Everett and honestly I have yet to find a better one in the surrounding area. read more
