I was brought to Bel Air @ Teravista from the hospital with a severe infection in my right hip wit bursitis that was extremely painful, but through the medical care and PT from the Physical Therapists, I improved rapidly. I was there for about 23 days, but left there able to return to duties at my church prior to Christmas 2025, and I continue to work on my physicality daily and appreciate the care I received while at Bel Air. I stayed at Bel Air at Teravista for 2 weeks after being released form Scott & White in Round Rock, Texas after a fall resulting in a broken wrist and hip. Mark and Jamie did an excellent job with my physical therapy. Both Mazawee and Tiru brought the meals, assisted with showers and various other tasks. They always came fast, and with a smile, to help when the buzzer was pushed. Nurae Heather Vieira was my main contact. I spent almost two weeks in this facility. They have minimal care, and the quality of care was horrible. From what I could see, there was no care at all for the patients. It seems people just sit on their beds. Minimum physical therapy. It's a welfare facility and should be investigated. read more

Was initially excited to have my father here for a rehab stay after being in the hospital but ended up disappointed. Too many residents and not enough staff lead to patients waiting for support as simple as walking with someone to the restroom. Food was often cold and not edible. Some of the staff are friendly and supportive (including the physical therapists) but many are just roaming the halls and talking to one another. Hallways on the rehab side smell of urine. Toward the end of his stay My father was xrayed and found with fluid building up in his lungs and was just recommended to move him to another facility when he actually needed the ER and I ended up taking him myself. I would look elsewhere for care for your loved one. read more

They spilled cold water on my granny and when she confronted, they told her "quit your complaining." Then they tried to gaslight her and deny that they even said that. I am disappointed in this Rehab facility. I looked down the carpet had dirt swept to the corners. I was told this place is short staffed. I arrived late on their bus my food was thrown away. As a new client. SoI was given a No one gave me a tour. They sat me in the room and left me. A nurse came to room to give me some one else med , . My grandmother has been here twice now. We brought her here to recover from a subdural hematoma she suffered about a month ago. In the past she was here to recover from a broken hip. From the front desk to the font line of nurses she has been treated with the utmost care. The food even improved from her last stay! It's not an easy decision where to trust your loved ones in need. I wholeheartedly trust Bel Air with our families needs. Our family has spent a lot of time coming in and out of this facility. I would spot and feel if things didn't look ok. And that's never happened. I completely recommend trusting your loved ones in their care. Their PT is out of this world committed to recovering and helping your loved one. They currently offer a variety of snacks and soft drinks for visitors to purchase. I thought that was nice touch. read more

My Mom is in the Rehab and she is 91 years old. She is doing very well at this facility. There are problems as with any where now. Lack of help due to COVID. Good not so good but overall this is a good place fir her to be. It is more homey the PT and OT are very good. read more

Stay away! It's a beautiful facility and the therapy staff is first rate. But if you need care for physical and/or cognitive issues, you won't get it. Caretakers are lazy, incompetent and downright surly if you suggest they try harder to do their jobs. Supervisory staff does not follow through with complaints. I was there every day my husband was. All I managed to accomplish was to make myself the most despised person trying to get help and care for a loved one who needed it. He still didn't get it. I was much relieved when we took him out of there and into a better place. The theft from his finger of the engraved gold wedding band he had worn for 60 years was the final straw. read more

I could give a "0" rating I would. The care and attention is non existent. With the exception of a couple of personnel the aids, assistants and nursing staff don't seem to give any care or concern to the health and welfare of the patients. Our loved one was / is at a point requiring full assistance for bathing and dressing. The staff allowed an infection on her foot to go unreported and took no action to address the infection. By the time we found the infection it had turned gangrene. This is only one example (and the final straw) of unconscionable neglect and callousness we experienced at Bel Air. The chief of nursing and social worker are inept and callous. The director of the facility talks a good talk but doesn't follow through. Avoid like the plague!! read more

I visited several nursing homes in the Austin/Georgetown/Round Rock/Leander area. Spoke to persons that had members staying in the facilities; after many hours and days of researching we choose Bel Air at Tera Vista as my Mother had stayed there previously for rehab. The facility is clean, a Rehab area, Chapel and Library with a computer for residents. There is no disagreeable odors as found in many Nursing homes. The rooms are private and decorated nicely, with private bath and an microwave and fridge area. Beautiful court yards and two cafe areas with coffee and juice for guests and residents. A large activity area for resident crafts, movies and parties. Plenty of activities are available as well as outings to movies, restaurants and Walmart's. Activity Director goes out of her way to get the residents involved. The food is good. My Mother complains regarding the menu or food temperature but she is typically a picky eater. The staff on the most part are very kind and considerate of the residents. The Administator, Audrey, Dustin, Tina, and several other employees and aids and nurses go out of their way to be kind and friendly to the residents and family members. The cleaning staff needs reminders to clean the bathrooms but overall do a decent job. The aids do not always make the resident's beds in a timely matter and need to be reminded to do also. Update: So far this has gotten better. We are overall satisfied with the care that is provided and the cleanliness of the facility. As always it is very important that the family visit their loved one frequently to make certain that there are no issues and if they find one report it immediately to ensure the safety and well being of their loved one. read more

This place is Nice looking as people say, but the food sucks and, they only let patients have showers 3 times a week. COVID is still alive in the world. This place has nurses that don't wear gloves and while my mom was there I took out her trash and made sure to take her clothes and towels home to wash them. The nurse or Pretend nurses would leave their trash behind the would leave empty valves of meds on my mothers bed. No one gave us a tour or even my mother when she got in there. The staff smile, take your money, tell you this and that, but if you ask questions that have 1 million excuses and act like you are asking them for tiger blood. Nobody knows anything . As my moms time came to and end she ended up getting a really great set of nurses, I was glad for that. On the day I was to pick her up, I guess she is in the Finiacial part of Belair, Debbie she tried to say we owed 16,000 thousand be for my mom could leave. I told her she was crazy her insurance covered her stay. The monies they now owe us was said to be returned to us after we gave them my mothers E.O.B. I gave it to them March 13, 2022 and have not received the money back Debbie , Debra or what her name is said it take 2-5 business days to go back on my card, I called back then she said 7-10 days then I had my mothers insurance call on a recorded line, which caught her by surprised and she said she call the people she sent the EOB that refund the money and said by the end of that week March 28 money should be there. It's April 18, 2022 and no money no Answers. So I will call again today, I get the run around today and I will be calling in BBB. And others on the matter of cleanness, treatment and etc. So pretty much you are better of letting a stray dog. Take care of your loved one if you really love your loved on this is not the place!!!!!! read more

At eighty-five our mom has advancing proximity awareness dementia, as well as other mental and physical challenges. Even with a full time caregiver it has become no longer safe for her to live in her home, so her four kids spent March and part of April thoroughly researching her options and (with the much needed help of Misty at the Estate Preservation Network) finally ended up choosing and getting mom into a more comprehensive care nursing facility in Round Rock called Bel Air at TeraVista. We expected actually getting her to accept going into a nursing home would be difficult, but she has seemed happy throughout the process. I believe Bel Air just proved to be a lot nicer than she had expected. The first thing she saw when she arrived at that facility was a real chapel and a library with plush leather chairs. Then we showed her, her new address in "Blanco Hall". The room is much more like its own little efficiency than the typical "older hospital" feeling rooms we've seen at so many other places. It is very comfortable and clean, with a nice view of the courtyard. She has her own restroom and even a fridge and microwave. The room is fully furnished, but they let us bring in a bunch of framed photos of family and some of her most loved possessions, so it does very much feel like her own space and place when we go visit. She is getting a perm today at the onsite Beauty Salon in preparation for Mother's Day, but otherwise is not getting out of her room enough. She's been there less than 30 days, so the fact that she is so comfortable remains foremost in our minds, but there are lots of activities and, since Bel Air has their own bus, trips for their residents to go shopping, to the movies and such that we are trying to get her to attend more often. The staff is helping and family members are regularly visiting and making sure she minimally goes to at least the onsite events, such as the Ice Cream and Popcorn Socials, Bingo and Dominoes, and Movie Nights. She was just as sedentary at her home, but without the wealth of social interactions that are available at Bel Air. We will just have to hope time and the good efforts of everyone involved prevail on this front. I do want to add that the entire staff in Blanco Hall have been consistently helpful. In fact, our experience with the intake and finance departments and all the rest of the Bel Air staff, from Tina in reception to Maria who cleans her room, have been great. Thank you Kristi, Debbie, Katie and everyone else. I can't begin to express how much your professional caregiving and your good help and have meant to us in this very tough situation. Our entire family hopes and expects our mother will be happy there for many years to come. read more

If I could give them a zero, I would. The biggest problem is that these people do not follow instructions and follow through on anything. The care is random depending on who is working on a given day. I would not recommend this facility to anyone. The management staff have no clue what is going on here. I have seen garbage cans not picked up for many days until I put the cans outside the door. When your loved one puts the call light on expect an aide to either never show up, or expect a lengthy wait. Quite disturbing/frustrating, inexcusable and unprofessional. Notice also the staff only replies to positive reviews. Stay away from this place. ***20 minutes elapsed and the light is still on. The nurse came in and completely ignored me telling her we need an aide to assist. ***30 min and no one has showed up. Someone (staff no name) came and brought food. I told her the light has been on for 30 min. She stated she knew and that the aide had stated someone told her to let the resident sleep. LIARS!!! No one in this room asked the aide to leave and let the resident sleep. Light is still on. read more

I moved my mother here about a year ago. I am pleased with the level of care that my mom is receiving.

1) cleanliness - so bad. They clean the bathroom and the mirror still has toothpaste spots, the toilet still has stain on sit. Not vacuum often. Update- new staffs, seems to be better 2) CNA. Some really good but far and few. Sometimes take 45 min for someone to come and clean you. One CNA dump the urinal into the sink. Take forever to get you out of bed. 3) nurse. Some are wonderful others either too much works or not care. Something simple as cleaning the area of tube feed, some will some won't. 4) physical therapist and occupational therapist. Wonderful group of people, very patience, step by step direction. Push the patient to get progress. 5) social worker, rarely see her. Good luck if you need help. May be she is part time. 6) food- update- if you don't get full liquid(hot water and bouillon) the food is actually decent. Breakfast can be boring. The same almost every morning. I stay here at least 22 hours a day. How many people will be able to be around and watch what services that this place provide. Overall, patient that has mind problem, might not be the right place because we found an elderly walking into the garden in cold weather without heavy gown or shoes. She would have get hypothermia or pneumonia. Another person kept walk into my room while I am out. and eat food out of my refrigerator and dump stuffs all over the floor. read more

As a son desperately trying to place my mother in a Rehab/skilled nursing facility in Texas. I am sorely disappointed to say the least. The callousness and lack of empathy from these disgusting people really is eye opening. I started the process of getting my mom into this facility, no one called me back on the status of the process. Days, and sometimes weeks going by with me calling in over and over again until finally speaking to someone and getting the same answer, they would check and get back to me. Guess what? They never got back to me. So of course, I call back until I am able to speak to someone, and found out my mother was denied, and apparently asking the reason for the denial seems to be a grave sin. So much so that the sorry excuse for a human being Gwen stonewalled me, as if I was prying into her tax information. She ended the conversation after trying numerous times to figure out why the denial with "we just did." These people do not deserve to work in a place where caring for people is their business. No wonder their reviews are horrific. Regardless of how bad they treated me, and how unprofessional they are, they will get what is coming to them someday. read more

My mother-in-law recently went through rehab at Bel Air Teravista. I was sold on the facility! Beautiful and very inviting. The rehab staff were very caring and helpful....HOWEVER, the food service was terrible. They have major issues. If you cannot go to dining your lunch is delivered around 1:30-2:00 cold, and not that good! If you go to dinning room you can wait as long as an Hour and a half. Finally, what ever you order, generally receive something else. They also have a large number of staff that do not speak English. It is unfortunate because the building is beautiful. read more

Recently, my 90 year old mother, with a serious heart condition, fell and fractured her hip. As you can imagine this was a very traumatic and painful event for mom that personally touched all of our family. The best decision we could have made was moving mom to Bel Air at Teravista! The directors, doctors, case manager, nurses, therapists, front desk staff and all of the medical professionals worked as a high performance team, with one goal in mind...to get mom back on her feet and walking, in the safest way possible. Their approach was to treat the whole person...mind, body and spirit. Mom's greatest fear was to someday be placed in a position, to be in a nursing home environment. After spending a couple of months at Bel Air, mom could not say enough about their compassionate, loving and talented staff. Our mom went into Bel Air broken and fearful...our mom left mended and confident. If the need should ever present itself again, mom said she would return to Bel Air in a heartbeat. It is a beautiful facility, and has an exceedingly talented and caring staff, Mom grew quite fond of everyone at Bel Air and left a piece of her heart there. Thank you Bel Air! read more

This business is a case study in unrealized potential. The building is less than 2 years old and is absolutely gorgeous. It has a lovely Texas atmosphere and is everything that you would want in an upscale, cutting edge facility specializing in the care of our loved ones. They have more than enough staff on duty at all times and their residents should be cared for in the dignified and attentive way that one hopes to receive. Unfortunately, this is not the case. When we toured the facility in preparation for finding a rehab and possible new home for my 91 year old grandmother, we thought we had lucked into the best of all possible worlds. Once she moved in, it was a very different experience. The hall in which she was staying was heartbreaking. There was one man who was in his bed with the door open to his room. He was repeatedly yelling, "Round Rock Police! Help me! Help me!" The staff ignored him. There was another man on her hall who kept falling out of bed. He would lie in the floor yelling for help until someone finally came. Several times it seemed that the only way the staff would go into his room to help was if someone went to the nurse's desk and told them he needed help. One day my grandmother was nauseous. She told her attendants repeatedly. Four hours later I came in to visit and she was still suffering. No one claimed to know anything about it, in spite of her telling them that she couldn't go to dinner because she felt bad. Additionally, they seemed to find it difficult to follow the doctor's orders. The worst of it was that after 20 days they discharged her without discovering what her medical problem was. She had been admitted because she fell several times from a standing position for some unknown reason. They decided it might be because her blood pressure would drop suddenly after standing. So the doctor ordered blood pressure checks 1x a day. They were to check it in a laying, sitting and standing position. They never seemed to remember to do the check. They also never figured out if that was actually the problem. We learned in a later hospital stay that she wasn't absorbing oxygen and needed to be on oxygen 24/7 with regular nebulizer albuterol treatments. If they had kept her the 100 days needed to have her admitted into skilled nursing under Medicare/Medicaid guidelines, they might have actually discovered why she was falling. The staff was very nice. They looked like they were doing everything they were supposed to do, but the reality was that they weren't and I'm disgusted that we wasted time there. My grandmother was miserable there. It could be such a pleasant place, but it isn't. It's horrible and sad. read more

The low level of care provided at this location is unbelievable. My FIL spent a month here and the care was horrible. He is quadriplegic and one of the nurses left him in the shower to grab a towel. He fell over and hit his head, we are lucky he wasn't hurt more than he was. He was unable to hit a call button by normal means so he had a special device he could use. The night nurses moved the call device out of his reach so he couldn't bother them. There was no 'release' plan after his rehabilitation time was over. Insurance said they wouldn't pay for anymore so they dropped him off. No follow up nursing, no training, nothing. It took us almost a full week before we had a follow up visit to assist. This is a person who had no way of feeding himself, going to the bathroom, anything. My husband and I both work full time jobs - but my husband did his best. Our FIL ended up having to go back into the hospital to get his bed sore that developed at this facility. This place made a horrible situation into a nightmare. All we've heard since he was released was 'this isnt how it is supposed to happen.' If you have choices - go somewhere else. The quality of care here is very suspect. read more

This was my 4th visit to a rehab facility after 4 different surgeries and this place was the worst. The food was good the place is new and beautiful and there were no offensive odors. The facilities doctor and his nurse were great as were some of the other nurses and aids especially the charge nurse Malissa who admitted me and worked several days while I was there. Nurse Missie was great too as was the wound care nurse. Thanks to all of you. Too many of the other nurses and aids were there seemingly just to get a paycheck and did not provide me with good care. Often I would use the call button ask the responding aid for something and not see her again until after an hour or so when I would ask for it again. I was in there a week and only two aids and one nurse would rinse the plastic urinal by my bed I urinated in. The others would empty it in the toilet and bring it back unrinsed and put it on the table your food is put on even after I complained to a head nurse who agreed they should be rinsed. I asked that a recliner be moved away from the wall so I could sit and recline but was told housekeeping would have to do that the next day. I asked another aid who easily moved it. There was very little water pressure in the shower making me spend three or four times longer to take a shower when I was in pain. The toilet seats are way way too small and of thin cheap plastic construction. Paper towels are locked up in the bathroom so only staff can get them probably due to the low flush toilets not being able to flush them. I was allergic to the chemicals they cleaned the room with. Two days in a row I did not get my evening medication. On the second day I complained but still did not get my medication then it resumed the following day but I could not get an explanation. These were two drugs I have been taking for years! They tell you they get Direct TV but it is only a few lower tier channels. The physical therapist in the hospital as very good but the one I had at Bel Air was terrible, in my opinion. I advise you to go somewhere else I was miserable at Bel Air at Teravista. read more

My mother recently passed away after a year and a half of stroke complications. I am so thankful for the care she received at Bel Air. I toured a few dozen facilities before choosing this one for my mother. It was absolutely the right choice. The nurses were honest and caring and shared funny stories about their interactions with my mom. There were occasionally things my mom would ask for, or changes in care needed as she progressed, and Audry the head nurse was always easy to work with and on top of what was needed. No nursing home is perfect, and no facility will feel exactly like home, but Bel Air is run well, and full of staff that care and will try to make your loved one feel at home. I know my mother was as comfortable and happy as possible for her final year and I couldn't recommend them more. read more

Nightmare facility!!! Do NOT leave any loved ones in their care. Filthy hygiene, dirty linens and towels left on room floor for days. Room and bathroom never cleaned. Inedible food. Nurses bused in from Houston to meet the Medicare required number on staff. They were mercenaries, couldn't care less for the patients, only there for the paycheck. Patients crying out for help from their rooms constantly. Physician's assistant took it upon herself to change my father's pain meds and blood pressure meds - without consulting the doctor she works for, my father's cardiologist, or any family member. He ended up in the emergency room fighting for his life. He left the facility in worse shape than when he arrived. The executive director is unqualified. It took us several days to even get her to answer our phone calls and visits. When we finally had our meeting with her and the staff she was texting on her cell the entire meeting. She didn't participate in the meeting at all. I did notice on their Facebook page, she had time to dress up for the Halloween party. That's important. Despicable facility!!!! read more

The place is beautiful, great courtyard, but, the CNAs are useless. Waiting 45 mins after pressing the emergency button for an emergency. Bad attitudes. They don't even try to be genuine. Completely clueless. I don't recommend this place for loved ones who cannot defend themselves vocally. read more

My mother-in-law was at Bel Air for the last year of her life. The facility is one of the nicest ones I've seen and the staff was so fantastic. She suffered from a debilitating stroke and was paralyzed so probably one of the more difficult physically to handle. They took all of our requests and comments to heart and during her final days in hospice they went out of their way to make our whole family comfortable. I HIGHLY recommend the facility and couldn't say better things about them. read more

I am a relative of 2 family members that were here. I had heard stories from family and friends about how terrible these Nursing Care/Rehab facilities can be and I can now unfortunately say I have experienced it firsthand. The CNA's are terrible and do not care about your loved one's well being. They have negative group conversations about the elderly in front of them, degrade and insult them. The nurse we had was unbelievably rude and insensitive. I thought because I had heard such terrible things and went into this place experiencing the worst that maybe all of Nursing Care/Rehab places are like this but happy to say that they are not. If you are looking for somewhere to place someone you love. I advise you to keep looking. It's not always how things look on the outside but more so what and WHO is on the inside. read more

My dad was there and the staff was horrible to him and treated him like he was nothing. They took over 15 minutes every time to respond to call lights to help my father. While my niece was visiting her grandmother at Bel Air and staying in her room for 4 days, the staff tested her grandmother for C-dif which is a very deadly bacterial infection. They never told my niece that she should take any precautions to prevent contracting the disease in case the test came back positive. Right after my niece left to fly back to her home (2-days after the sample for the test was taken), they did put a sign on the door saying to see the nurse before entering. Later that day, I dropped my Dad (who is 96) off at the door while I parked the car and he went into his wife's room without reading the sign and greeted his wife with a hug and a kiss. When I came in after him, I saw the sign and started asking questions. They told me we should wash our hands and put on gloves. I texted my niece immediately to find out if she had been wearing gloves because I saw no gloves in the room. She said she was told nothing about wearing gloves. Once we looked up C-dif on the internet and found out how deadly it is we were panicked. It turned out that the test was negative, but the fact they had not informed my niece or called us to warn us to keep my Dad away until they received the test results was unforgivable. We moved her to another facility nearby. This is just one example of the poor care and poor communication we experienced while my stepmother was at Bel Air. read more
