PAM Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Round Rock - So nice!

I love to give 5 star reviews but sadly this is not the time. My husband went in and we were so…read morehopeful that the two weeks he was scheduled to be there would help him recover from his month in bed while in and out of the hospital. Unfortunately, PAM was not up for the challenge. The nursing and tech staff were good enough. We enjoyed Cyndi, the Sarahs and Meliza especially. He had speech therapy every day. He had OT a few days and PT even less. So much less that in his discharge paperwork, the PT sign off was left blank. They couldn't even attest as to any level of progress. And PT was the main reason he was there. I inquired with scheduling and they said they were short staffed. I reached out to the CEO who came to his room and said she'd look into it and get back to me. Again, sadly no follow through. The OT intimated that he was difficult to work with and that may have been what PT encountered also - so blaming my husband for PT not coming? Really? I'm not saying my husband is the easiest guy in the world to work with but at least show up. I've already had one occasion to steer others clear of the disappointing results we saw and will continue to do so.

I was a patient at Pam Rehabilitation Hospital after surgery…read more The staff told me they could handle all my medical needs, but when I developed a painful rash that turned into an infection, they refused to let me go to the ER or follow my surgeon's orders. My surgeon had prescribed two important medications -- one for nerve-endin' pain and another to treat the rash before it became infected. The hospital removed both prescriptions and substituted ineffective treatments. The caseworker told me they were giving me the same medicine, but that wasn't true. Their own documentation confirms this. Because my nerve-endin' pain medication was withheld and the infection worsened, the pain became unbearable. My skin grew so sensitive that even a brush of fabric or a breeze caused me to scream in pain. Instead of helping, some staff made fun of me and yelled at me for reacting -- even though their neglect caused the problem. They also refused to provide the pain medicine immediately, even in that situation. I have documents and photos showing the difference in care, including pictures of my incision site two days after arrival and again five days later, clearly showing how the infection spread. Once I left and received the correct medications from my surgeon, the rash and pain began to improve right away. Please Look at the proof attached of the actual type of care they give before using Pam Rehabilitation Hospital for post-surgical recovery or wound care

Ashley, Lane, and Light are awesome! The office is well equipped and clean! My daughter started PT…read moreafter spraining her ankle (sports injury), and I can honestly say it made a world of difference. When she first started, she was still dealing with swelling, stiffness, and pain that made even basic movement tough. The team took the time to assess her injury and build a personalized recovery plan that progressed as she healed. The sessions were a mix of strengthening, balance work, stretching, and hands-on therapy. I appreciated how they explained the "why" behind each exercise, which helped her stay motivated and stick with it even on the hard days. Within a couple weeks, she saw noticeable improvement in her range of motion and stability. If you're recovering from an ankle injury and wondering if PT is worth it--absolutely yes. It made her recovery faster, smoother, and safer. I'm grateful for the care and expertise she received.

Mixed review. I went here for my ankle a few years ago and Nicole was excellent. I wanted my…read moredaughter to see her for a neck injury a year ago but they were having Nicole going to a couple of locations and training new PTs. So we were able to get an appointment at a different location which turned out to be a mistake. Transferred back to this location and made an appointment with Nicole. When my daughter got there she was told she'd be working with a newly hired PT that Nicole was training. The new PT was doing a terrible intake and my daughter did not feel confident she knew what she was doing. She asked not to be assigned to the new person and saw Nicole for 6 weeks and did help my daughter, therefore the star rating is mixed. Sadly Nicole left Endeavor and so we have not gone back. I would not recommend them. Interesting enough that new hire was removed from the website most likely due to other complaints.

In 2023 my mother was there because she was dying from pancreatic cancer…read more Two days before she died, she was in her bed groaning and curling her knees up in pain and moaning in pain tossing in pain. Her CNA was down the adjoining hallway, I rushed to him and told him what she was going through. The CNA told me she already had her medication. Meanwhile, her Dr. had left instructions to give her medication immediately should she need it for acute pain. I tried to explain that she was in acute pain and needed it now not hours from now. He did nothing. I literally had to leave my mother in the room by herself because I couldn't handle watching and hearing her in such agony. I was crying at this time and other residents were in the hallway watching all this unfold. Once the CNA finished with that hallway he finally came to my mom's hallway and since my mom's room was the second room down and not too far out of his way, he decided he would go check on her. It was at that time when he gave her the extra medicine that her Dr. said she was supposed to have when her pain was not relieved by what she was already getting. I started yelling at the CNA and the head nurse made me leave the premises. I couldn't go back to see my mom until I was cleared by the head administrator of St. Gabriel's. While I was there with my mom she told me that the nurses were a lot nicer to her when I was there with her. There was one CNA that I actually had removed from working down my mom's hallway. She didn't get fired, just moved sent on to another patient that she could be rough with when changing sheets and bathing and feeding. Most of the CNA's don't respect the families concerns and definitely take advantage of the power they have over the patients.

Our loved one suffered excruciating pain needlessly. Hospice is supposed to mean comfort care. The patient has had all other meds stopped and are given pain meds so that they can pass peacefully. Pain management is CRITICALLY IMPORTANT. If pain meds are not given according to the Hospice schedule by facility nurses, the patient suffers needlessly before they die. Shame on you for not treating imminently dying patients with more urgency and care. Don't send your loved one onto Hospice here.

But staff was very cordial to me upon entering facility always. Unfortunately, after my visit , my father developed a bed sore on the side he needed a position change. I was told that wound care was taking care of it in mid January only to find my father being rushed to the hospital on Feb 1st with malnutrition, dehydration, septic shock and upon evaluation at hospital was diagnosed with gangrene in 3 different places a few sores ready to burst and contusions in several places. Hence my father died from gangrene and the bacteria had traveled throughout his bloodstream and taken over all organs leaving my father in pain and to suffer for 8 days until he passed from the flesh eating bacteria. Please if your loved one cannot talk to you and tell you what is going on, please keep them at home safe where they can be monitored with security cameras. As most nursing homes don't have them as I found out .
