Quality/Quantity - Decent size local plaza. A few major anchors - Whole Foods, Trader Joe, Target, etc. Many brand names, see my pictures. Approximately 27 businesses. 8 food and restaurant options. 13 shopping options. 6 service businesses. Events; see their website. Ambiance - Again, a decent size mall. Plenty of parking, but more congestion near the 3 big anchors. Good thing I like to walk. Service - Overall good. It also depends on where you shop and what you do. Trader Joes and Whole Foods in the same plaza. With a Target, a Pharmaca and a Cost Plus sharing lots? Heaven! The only thing they are missing is Cooperfields Books, but other than that, this is stop is a must for those of us going along to Middletown. I can't tell you how many times I've seen customers, who were basking in the pools with us in Middletown, coming here to get a last bit to eat, cook, etc. on the way there or on the way back. I like coming here and look forward to it each and every time. They have some other places of interest such as Sift Baker and Heritage eats, but even without them, this would still be a place to stop and grab something to go. Bel Air Plaza -- my go place, down the street .. makes me wanna walk to wherever I need to go, for whatever I need to do. Foodies will be happy here. Shopping your thing? You'll be happy here too. Walking your dog? Walk right into OSH, or Pet Supply Co., shoot even Whole Foods, World Market, I mean the place is 2 legged and 4 legged friendly. Can't get better than that! read more

i've been to this shopping center several times over the years, at least once per visit to napa valley since there's always something i need here. the location is great, right at the intersection of highway 29 & trancas st, a major artery for those heading into downtown napa and north towards calistoga & yountville. you'll find the following local businesses: +whole foods market +trader joe's +target +orchard supply hardware +cost plus world market +pet food express +pier 1 imports +heritage eats +sift bakery so whether you're doing your weekly grocery shopping, picking up some lumber for your house, getting some supplies for your four-legged friends, grabbing a quick lunch/dessert, or browsing for home furnishings, this plaza has it all. parking is plentiful, and each time we've been here, whether midday or late evening, we've always been able to find a parking spot without having to circle or stalk other customers. read more

Bel Aire Plaza is the best place for retail therapy. CostPlus, Whole Foods, Target, Trader Joe's, Heritage Eats... this is the destination. It has the superior of the two Targets in Napa, the Whole Foods is like a Wild West general store... and there's always something at CostPlus. Since Christmas is on the way, CostPlus is the place for gift bags, cards, calendars.... and of course, gifts. The Copperfield's has an extensive selection&they do special orders. I've gone to the OSH to get duplicate keys&organic spray to battle ants. The Napa Trader Joe's is one of the few in California that still gives away free coffee. Bel Aire does have its downsides- the parking lot can be chaotic at peak times, and there's been a homeless problem, including a man urinating on a tree along the main central drag. He wasn't even looking for a discreet spot. It can be messy just to walk through. Overall, however, Bel Aire is good. read more

I nearly crashed my car when I saw the delight of this shopping center. Granted I now have to trek almost 30 minutes to get to a Trader Joe's from Vallejo, but it was like coming to a shopping mecca. Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, Peet's Coffee, World Market, aaaaaaaaaannnnnnnd a Target?!?!?!?! Wtf, I'm going to have to ration my time spent here because it also means rationing money. Waaay to much money to be spent here, but looooove the possibility of everything within a 30 minute fingertip :) read more

This center is the absolute best I have ever seen. The developers had US, the consumers, in mind. Not just to see how much money they can extract from our wallets, but they actually make life easy! My personal favorite! Ok I can make a whole afternoon of this shopping center. I first hit up Target, then I take a peek in World Market and then I head across the way to stock up on goodies from Whole Foods and Trader Joe's. And if I need to get the for legged kid something I can pop into Pet Food Express. The parking is a bit tight at times but everyone seems to be happy working in all the shops. The target is on the small side but not ghetto like the one from my home town. Oh and don't forget to pick up a little caffine at Peet's. There are other shops I have yet to hit up like OSH and still wondering when I will make it to Q. read more

Great shopping center! We can spend hours and lots of money here. They have everything! We usually go for 1 thing and usually end up going to multiple stores. With Peet's, trader joe's, whole foods, target, cost plus, OSH, pet food express, keva juice, barbersQ, yo belle, villa corona, pharmaca, caffino, firewood cafe, Copperfield bookstore and the hallmark store how could you go wrong??? The plaza also has a barber shop, nail salon, beauty supply store, dialysis center, and t-mobile store! People watching is also interesting around the plaza. Only downfall is the parking lot can be a zoo! Try to avoid it during peak times if you can! read more

Love this shopping center for its shops, stores, salons, etc. You can find lots of fun stuff here. I tend to frequent Copperfeilds Books, Trader Joes, OSH, and Pet food express. Only (BIG) downside, is that this has THE worst parking lot in just about all of Napa. I hate going to this shopping center for that alone, and will only really go during the middle of the week when everyones at work, school, etc. read more

While I like to stores in the shopping center - but SOMETHING has to be done with the parking and traffic. It doesn't matter how far from Traders or Wholefoods - my car gets dinged, scratched - you name it! Who designed the traffic pattern here? It's impossible to turn in and typically you have to sit through multiple lights. This place is nuts. read more

I am really amazed that this shopping center manages to have all the places I go in one place: Whole Foods, Trader Joe"s, Peet's, Orchard Supply Hardware, Cost Plus, Target, Pet Food Express, Pharmaca. Plus there's an independent bookseller that's pretty large. I haven't seen any other shopping center in the Bay Area get such a perfect mix of stores. read more

This was a dying shopping center when I left for college. While I'm glad they've revived it by putting in a Target, Whole Foods, Cost Plus, Orchard Supply Hardware, Trader Joe's and more, I have to wonder if monkeys designed the entry and exit points from Bel Aire. While the shopping choices are good, getting in, parked and getting out again can be a frustrating experience. I do miss Bel Aire Bowl as well. It's too bad that had to go away. read more

Bel Aire plaza has everything you can possibly need and more. Restaurants, beauty store, coffeeshop, grocery stores, hardware store, pet store, world market, bookstore, clothing store, salon.... Seriously, THE BEST shopping complex ever. read more

Great selection of stores including my favorites: Whole Foods, Trader Joe's and Target are my most often visited. They also offer snacks, light fare and dining (from Pete's coffee and Heritage Eats to "Q" BBQ), my favorite pharmacy/retail Pharmaca and a host of special interest retail shops from Cost Plus to a book storer. Oh- and very importantly, Pet Express! My dog would be very disappointed if I failed to include his favorite place to shop ;-) Now for the reason I did not give this shopping center 5 stars: TRAFFIC! The entrance and exit are very badly designed so that during busy times there is a bottle-neck that forms on Trancas of cars trying to enter the center and another back-up that occurs of cars trying to exit. The result is that the first several rows of parking get blocked as well and it is a big mess with tempers flaring and people taking risks to get in and out in a timely manner. When I happen to drive past the entrance (on Trancas) during one of these busy times I often am stuck sitting at a green light waiting for the cars that threw caution to the wind to make the turn into the center (despite the yellow-then-red light) and then they are stuck in the back-up and blocking the intersection. It is all very frustrating. There is another way in and out at the back of the parking lot but most people don't take that route because they need to access 29 which is just one block from the south (Trancas) entrance. Last night my husband and I ate at "Q" and when we left I saw that my car had been hit while parked in front of the restaurant (actually right next to it at YoBelle). I am not talking a little ding here; the front right fender is dented in with a big scrape along the side where the idiot must have not had the reaction to stop when they heard/felt the collision and just kept backing up from the spot next to us. We noticed the cameras mounted nearby and are hoping the management can help us solve the mystery of exactly who did this (it was after business hours when it occurred). If they help us catch the hit-and-run parking lot idiot, I will have to come back in and give them the final star. If not, one will be coming off for sure! I do the majority of my shopping right here in this little plaza. Years ago it was near death, and now it is the best shopping area I know of! The Bel Aire Plaza was great until they allowed Mobile Mini rental boxes on their property. It's a huge blight now. Big ugly rental boxes block the view of stores from across parking lots. Ugly ugly ugly. read more

Bel Aire is a fairly nice shopping plaza, very good selection, not too big, not too small. Everything from Target to Whole foods, Trader Joe's to OSH. It has probably the last bookstore in Napa. If I need something I can usually find it at Bel Aire. read more

I absoluteley love Bel Aire Plaza! The new BarBersQ restaurant is the BEST! This is a top notch shopping-center with a lot to offer!
