River Park has had its ups&downs. Its Subway is empty most of the time... how it stays open is a miracle. There's a bar, a sketchy looking laundromat, the Fresh&Easy/gym is now a vacant anchor store. The homeless have camped out in the parking lot occasionally. Still, it's hardly a "dead mall." The organic Golden Carrot is gone; they once sold the vegetarian cookbooks of Crescent Dragonwagon&had business cards for chakra/Reiki healers. Of course, the Fresh&Easy spot has been empty for awhile.... luckily, there's a Grocery Outlet, and since they have genuine deals&NO self checkout, they do a business. The Grocery Outlet has benefited the shopping center greatly. The Goodwill is a great place for finding vintage books&vinyl albums. Happy's Donut Tree Too combines beautiful native Cambodian art with affordable coffee&donuts made onsite. Wah Sing Chinese restaurant is a neighborhood gathering place. Valencia Market/Taqueria is underrated, and their tacos el pastor have a prayer. River Park is slowly revitalizing. Hopefully a tenant will soon be found for the former gym/Fresh&Easy. Luckily, it's already flourishing... and unlike Bel Aire, the parking is good&it isn't too hectic.

Pretty nice to have a cleaned up farmers market-ish brick and mortar. It's a little more expensive than your average supermarket and that may be because most things are your buzzwords: "organic" "vegan". Woo hoo. The Restoration Hardware and Williams-Sonoma outlets are fun once in a while. Don't need furniture as often as I'm wanting fruits and veggies though, so I'm here for Sprouts more often than not. Parking is plentiful and access to this shopping center is simple, right off the freeway. Just be careful to not get on 505 going back to Davis. It's a bit of a detour to get back.

As I was looking at wallets, one of the associates let me know they had a matching wallet that would go perfect. She even brought one from the back out for me because the floor model had a scratch on it. Super love my new bag and extremely happy with my service and purchase!

As we entered, two employees were engaged in conversation and didn't acknowledge us at all--no greeting or eye contact. It felt like we were invisible. Shortly after, another set of customers walked in, and they were warmly welcomed right away. The contrast in treatment was obvious and honestly, quite embarrassing. We chose to leave without making any purchases because of how we were treated. It's disheartening to feel judged based on appearance. Everyone deserves to be treated with respect and kindness, regardless of how they look. We hope the store can improve on customer service and treat all guests equally!!!

I visited Banana Republic on March 8th to shop for a uniform. While the cashier did assist with placing the order, they were not very approachable or welcoming, which made the experience feel less than ideal from the start. The bigger issue came two weeks later when I returned to follow up on my order--only to find out it had been canceled without any notification. I never received an email confirmation, cancellation notice, or any communication whatsoever. This left me without the items I needed and wasted valuable time. This experience felt very unprofessional and lacked basic customer service standards. If orders are being placed on behalf of customers, there should be clear confirmation and communication at every step. I strongly suggest management review who was working on March 8th and provide additional training to ensure this doesn't happen to other customers.

These trees are scattered throughout the parking lot along with redwood trees. Might be more romantic to take your special other to Japanese tea gardens to view the cherry blossoms but this is 90% of the the beauty. Food for less workers were clearing shopping carts from the parking lot. Very hard working crowd pushing stacks of those heavy things. Chase bank brought me in as I needed some cash and was in the area. Neighborhood shopping center for the locals.
