I genuinely did not think a store could be this bad. it's such a massive store but they have nothing. I don't mean the shelves are empty, they have plenty of stock, just NOTHING even remotely good or even decent. theres not a single pair of pants in the store under a size 12 or any clothes for that matter in a normal size. I honestly don't understand how they are still open. I waited in line to check out for 20 mins, with only 2 people in front of me. When there's customers waiting, it isnt the time to explain every single detail of the app or discuss personal life and vacation. It's my turn finally and she asks me all the questions. No I don't have the belk app. No I don't want to get the belk app. No I don't have a belk card. No I don't want to sign up for a belk card. No I don't want to use my phone number. No I don't want to use my email. I was polite but said no like a million times. I understand that they sometimes get commission and are generally pushed to ask these things but don't look at me like I just beat your puppy because I politely declined. And definitely don't tell the person in line behind me that I was rude when I walked away. Also, why're you charging people $100+ for a pair of pants that look like they were made in the 80s and have the texture of a disposable tablecloth. read more

I agree with the lady about the dressing rooms, and I'll add they are so got you are so uncomfortable in there you just leave. Please fix the dressing rooms and make them cooler. I love Belk stores, but am getting so I don't want to there. read more

I was in a couple of months ago looking at bathroom rugs and bedding. A young man, l think his name was Mason, could tell l needed help and asked what he could do for me. I pretty much like shopping at Belk as they usually have a good selection to choose from. My complaint is the ladies dressing rooms . They seriously need an update. Most of the rooms don't have hooks to hang clothes because they are missing or broken. At least half the rooms don't have lights in the ceiling as they are burned out. It makes for an unpleasant shopping trip. The dressing rooms have been in this condition for at least three years that I have been liing here. read more

I had the most fantastic experience at Belk today. I needed to cover my pandemic body in something nice for the first time in over a year. My mind was too overwhelmed to figure out what to wear until this gentleman with a stylish hairdo stepped in to assist. Brian was not only an expert, but he helped me with a smile. He took his long tape measure between my thighs and measured me twice to ensure a snug fit. After helping me change in the fitting room, he quickly checked me out avoiding the lines. My son & I came into Belk located in Hot Springs, AR looking for wedding attire. We had some kind of idea of what to look for, but didn't know the exact sizes. I needed him to try some of the clothing on, but found the fitting rooms were closed. One gentleman I found told me the rooms were closed & stated we could purchase what we needed & if we needed to bring anything back we could within the 72 hours. I asked if he could be measured so that I wouldn't have to bring anything back. Needless to say, I wasn't very polite to Brian G. but he handled the situation with respect & professionalism. Later on this evening I rang the store to speak to the manager & ask the gentleman's name & it was he who answered the phone! I needed to apologies for my behavior & asked his name. Brian G. graciously excepted my apology & even told me to come back in when I felt & he'd show me how to tie my sons tie for the wedding! (his father nor my father isn't "here" any longer, no I didn't tell him that. He just simply offered) The way he handled the situation is what I'd expect from any company & went above & beyond to help me in the future. He still got the customer to come back! VERY hard to find someone to help you. It's always empty in there. I was searching for Gucci perfume and I was trying to find help for a good 10 mins then when I got the help I was being sassed at, and the woman said to me " Well do you know what you want, I have to help that lady out." I told her ok "go ahead" and she rolled her eyes at me. Anyway she lost my money, won't be coming back ever. read more

I don't know of a Belk closer to home, but I sure wish we had one. I love this place. There is quite the assortment of things to look at, try on, and of course, purchase. As far as department stores go, it was a bit on the small side. I'm accustomed to at least two levels of merchandise, but I found the lack of second level to be a relief from the normal calamity of overabundance. It tends to be a bit pricey, so for me it's one of those places I would only visit on occasion. I'm excited for it to get cold now so I can wear my nice new jackets! Thanks Belk! read more
