First off, the dog park is amazing. Huge with lots of space, separated areas for small and large dogs, agility play equipment, benches and the like. You must have a city dog license and it seems that access to the park is using an RF tag to open the gate. Nearby, an ADA compliant playground, fitness equipment and a disc golf course. And that's just half the park. On the other side, a regular playground with a splashpag, picnic shelters, a massive baseball/softball complex and walking trails and a mountain bike trail. It has a lot of mountain biking trails, but we were just hiking. The lake is really pretty and some of the trails go right along it. I'm not sure if we followed an actual predefined hike, but I think we walked for about 4 miles which is pretty good for a Charlotte park. Trail has a water reservoir in the midst of it. On the same side as the mini trail there's a cute woodsy kiddy park and a blue workout area where there are high n low platforms and hanging rings. Across the road is Carolina Courts. Next to it continues the Chestnut Square Park facilities: three lit tennis courts (no backboard), sand volleyball courts, and a football field (used also for soccer). They are all with lights.
