This little hidden park is hardby one of the Greenways, and you pass the park when traveling the Greenway. Sort of hard to find, since it is buried in a residential neighborhood, but that's what keeps it a hidden gem. Recommended.

super lost. literally rn. me and my friend went on a 30 minute run. it has become a hour and 30…read moreminute run because we are completely lost. they dont have a trail map, they dont have a map on apple maps or google maps, they dont have a number to call or a park ranger to contact. what if one of us got severely hurt while lost how would we get help? this is actually ridiculous. and when i did call the number they have listed its just to make appointments. i said F it and tried to talk to someone atleast. when i mentioned talking to a park ranger they gave me a attitude and said "we dont give out park rangers numbers" and the proceeds to give me the number to call, which was the same number i had just called. so thanks. i really appreciate the help. we have been lost for a hour, dehydrated and exhausted. its cool tho we men, we will figure it out thanks to no body.

This is one of the most beautiful parks I've had the pleasure of visiting. There are beautiful views, playgrounds and lawn space for children's play, plenty of parking, trails for walking/bike riding, several bridges, and large trees to compliment the fields. The park is well-kept as everyone here ensures cleanliness and top maintenance. As my dad and I sat down on the bench and soaked in our surroundings, we observed a plethora of activity which included some people flying drones, kids competing in the playground's obstacle course, elderly folks walking, dogs running amok, people racing toy cars, and a few people cycling. The positive energy and vibes were radiant. I'm glad we stopped by here. Definitely worth a visit in Charlotte!

We walked around the lake and checked out some of the features like bridges, streams, bridges and an amphitheatre. There was also a playground nearby. Inside, there is parking for about a dozen cars with a picnic shelter and grill, two playgrounds and a pretty decent swing set. A "Little" library is also set up. The park is located behind and beside a small area school. There are at least four officially mowed and lined soccer fields. I watched a huge pick up game being played here on a Sunday evening. No doubt it stays popular. There's a large field in the back corner bordering woods which seems less user friendly but might be more useful for setting up a small fairgrounds. And, naturally, there's a massive playground here next to the school. A crosswalk connects this side across Tom Short Road to the Nature Preserve area. The preserve seems to be a much newer installation. Nice, small parking area. A new building with bathrooms, a good sized picnic area and a large grill. Trash cans - please don't litter here! A nice map of the whole complex including the park across the street. There's a dirt and light gravel nature trail about 0.8 miles long that winds through the preserve. It passes by several descriptive signs for the trees and upland swamp. There's even a concrete boardwalk that goes over the seasonal swamp and through this unique ecosystem. I really like it here. A pleasant walk in nature just on the edge of Charlotte and close to home.

The Nature Preserve, that I explored today, is 42 acres of entirely undeveloped woodland bordered by homes. The hiking trail loops around behind the parking area and bathroom building. Mostly level and not paved, the trail has little elevation making it an easy loop for the younguns. There are a small number of parking spaces here. At the park across the street and bordering the school, three decent sized soccer fields and a large playground. There is enough parking here on non-school days.

The walkway is amazing. That is like an amazing walking park for you and your dog. If you like…read morenature and stuff like that the only thing I have to say is be careful on some of the bridges that seem like they need to be fixed.
