What a great little campsite. A perfect spot to get away from everything…read more My family and I were looking for a campsite to go to during the solar eclipse. One of the things I liked most about this location is that it is privately owned my wonderful lady name is Faye. She did not hike up the rates because of the event like everyone around her was doing. It was so inexpensive to stay here if you have a tent it's only $12 a night if you have a camper same thing and if you say for the month it is only $275 a month. This includes all utilities. She was kind enough to meet us on site and her golf cart showed us her room showed us our location where we would be staying for the night. I like the bathroom Wash House that was near our location. It was very clean with clean restrooms and showers. The facility has a walking trail a dog walking trail, and a pravillion where you can have parties or even Church on a Sunday. The guests that were saying on site were very friendly and made this a hospitable stay. You are surrounded by trees in shade, which makes it a very pleasant place to relax. It is not too far from a lake, and downtown Toccoa.

It's not like you have a McDonald's or a Burger King right there lol. If you were up this high, why would you want to have regular fast food? Parking was easy probably because of the placement of it at the start of where you have a cabin area. They have to have parking for everybody. I'd already started dabbling in some wine so I wanted to stop off and this was the best option because it was the closest option and I wasn't disappointed. I was sad immediately and the waitstaff was pretty cool, pretty friendly. There's indoor and outdoor seating. It just depends on what the weather looks like but outdoor fit because it was a nice day the last time I went. They'll come out and bring you all the food and the water or anything like that. You can just still look at the grass and the green area in the scenes. Pimento cheese stuffed cornbread rolls - wasn't sure what to expect from these but they were actually pretty good. The spicy and the sweet of the butter helped it along very much but the cornbread was good too. The cornbread had a dollop of polenta inside of it so when you bite into it enough you'll get that extra cheese filling. Maple chili glazed Brussel sprouts - the Brussels sprouts are really good and they came on a huge plate full of them so it definitely was enough to share. You had nice balance with the pickled onions and the feta cheese to balance against the sweetness of the honey glaze so it was actually perfectly balanced to perfection and well charred. Hot chicken sandwich - the chicken sandwich was good but personally, to me, it wasn't a hot chicken sandwich at all. It was just a regular chicken sandwich because I didn't taste any spice on it. It was still good and very flavorful. It was really thick so it wasn't like they gave you the leanest cutlet ever. It was a good regular chicken sandwich. It came with fries and the fries didn't seem like they were enough French fries but they were really seasoned and super crispy. Collard greens - collard greens are pretty good and you can see the meat in them and because it was braised in wine sauce, that gave it extra flavor. If you're in this part of the state, you're going to have a lot of wine going around so that's not surprising but they were pretty good. Overall I had a good experience here and this was better than stopping off at an Applebee's for sure because it had good food and a good view.

The entrees we ordered (the mushroom chorizo Marsala and the pumpkin risotto) were extremely rich and very decadent, the flavors extremely unique. My wife was able to get an appointment at Nathan Wile salon, her hair has never looked as nice. We then walked across the street for a very nice dinner at Sweetbreads. There is a park across the street for walking dogs and the entire weekend was perfect. We will be coming back to hike and ride bikes during leaf season.

He got in a scuffle, and it was clear he had material arts training. It was like watching an exhibition fight. 10/10 for the entertainment. Took a dip in the lake, but there was a lot of hair. It's alright because it acted like a loofah and exfoliated our skin. I was almost disappointed that I couldn't ride kiddie rides, but luckily, I'm below average in height. There are no safety straps, staff, or instructions on what is expected of riders. That was alright because I was in the market for a concussion. I got one for a discounted rate of "free". I would come back, but I can't remember where it is. Or who I am. Or where it is.

The office staff was nice and responsive, but so many statues, painting and references to Trump, Jesus and soldiers/veterans was a bit over the top and you would probably not feel comfortable flying your pride flag. Sites are very close together in the section we stayed in but it looks like there are larger sites in their lot across the street. Pool is small but it looked clean and there is a children's playground.

Today (August 23) the grass surrounding the playground is as tall as my 2 year old. It's so bad, I avoid letting him play near there. There has been plenty of weather that would work for mowing, it seems he's doing less then the bare minimum. My husband actually got our weed Wacker out to handle the weeds surrounding our spot. It's almost at a point near the playground that I'm considering handling the situation of the playground myself, and weekwhack it down so that my child isn't getting bitten so bad by bugs.

We stayed at Rock Springs the night of 11/15 in our Class B (camper van) RV. The park was pleasant…read moreenough, but has a few issues. First, the "good". The park is fairly new, and looks it. The sites are well groomed gravel, most with bordered/barked dividers between them. The WiFi was super fast (457 Mbps down, 48 Mbps up by the main building when we arrived, and 67, 8 from our site later in the evening). The bathroom we could access was modern and clean, and the shower had a body wash dispenser in it which was a nice touch. The camp host was friendly and helpful when we arrived. Oddly, the water coming out of the spigots has a strange, almost floral taste to it. Not sure exactly what the cause is. It's not exactly unpleasant - just odd. Now, for the "bad". The park has only two bathrooms (unisex, presumably with a toilet, sink, and shower in each) for the entire 42 site park. This may not be an issue for some since all sites are full hookup, but some of us prefer to use real showers when we have the chance instead of the small ones in our RVs. On top of that, the keypad on one of the bathrooms refused to accept the unlock code (we informed the camp host who said she was working on the problem and should have it fixed by morning, but the lock still wouldn't open by 10:30 the next morning when we left) so there was de facto only one bathroom available. The water in that bathroom's shower would get lukewarm, but not hot; the issue seemed to be with the shower valve and not the water heater because the sink was able to give VERY hot water. Most of the sites lack picnic tables (it looked like 3 had them, and the rest didn't). So we had to set up our portable grill on the gravel and cook there. And then there was the noise issue, which - granted - wasn't really the park's fault per se. The park itself was pretty quiet, and being out in the country is relatively free of road noise. But there was a dog on one of the surrounding properties that barked pretty much all evening and into the night, and then started up again the next morning. And early the next morning (before 8 am), I was awoken by what sounded suspiciously like the sound of distant, repeated rifle fire. A Google Map search showed that the Skeeter Branch Hunting Preserve is located 2.3 miles away (as the crow flies) so I'm guessing that was what I was hearing, but can't be certain. At any rate: if you're a light sleeper and are hoping for some peace and quiet out in the countryside - this may not be the place for you.
