In town for business stayed 2 nights. Rooms were spacious and clean. Carpets were clean your feet didn't get dirty from walking around barefoot. The water got hit fast didn't have to wait forever. Staff was very helpful and nice. The furniture is dated is why I gave it only 4 stars. On my second day went to reserve 2 more rooms for my family meeting up with me from their vacation they put them close to us so I could visit. (My mom was very surprised). Run- don't walk- in the opposite direction. The pictures do not accurately depict what the motel's current state is. Against my better judgement, we still were going to stay 1 night if our 2 night stay (husband was already looking for another place for the second nigh). We got checked in and spent the next 15 minutes or so unloading our things. once get settled in the room, we noticed the dead bugs on the bed and pillow, mold behind the door and in the corners, as well as the issue that the room had been smoked in recently (even though it was rented to us as a non smoking). My daughter and I are extremely allergic to cigarette smoke. Not even 30 minutes later we are both struggling with our throat constructing and difficulty breathing. We both had to use our rescue inhalers to try to lessen the severity of the asthma attack it triggered. We immediately packed our things back up and went to check out. Upon letting the front desk clerk know the issues, she offered to move us to a room on the second floor. We declined as at this point, it was a health issue for us to stay there. I asked for a refund and was denied since we had been in the room for over 30 minutes (but less than an hour). Lesson learned- trust my gut the first time. If you or anyone in your party has allergies, asthma, or a lowered immune system- do not stay here. read more

Absolutely stay away!!! How this hotel/motel/sepsis trap is still open is beyond me. I'm currently an evacuee from hurricane Helen. This hotel was the only one we could find open. I'll start with arrival..terrifying and rundown Got there at 245 for check in at 3. No rooms were clean and we waited until 430 before getting into a room that only had sheets changed OK whatever. It's been days with no power. It's sketchy here you can tell It's mostly drug addicts and the company they keep but we really have no choice at this point. We put our stuff down. I lay on the bed for a moment and I start to feel the bed get wet. what can that be? PEANUT BUTTER SMELLING GREASY LUBRICANT I called the front desk to send more sheets or change the room. They send me two more sets of sheets and tell me to stack it on top of each other because they have no more rooms to move to. I was put in a smoking room even though specifically requesting a non-smoking room. The clientele was so scary. We did not leave our room as a group of three females from as soon as it got dark until the sun came up. I was offered no compensation, I was offered zero compassion and out 100+ dollars for a room that should've cost me 30 at the most. I wish I could give a negative star review. read more

This is the hotel you crash in when you are on the run. It has everything to make you feel like a fugitive from justice. It is in desperate need of remodeling and cleaning, so you will feel like you're in a Bourne movie when you need to color your hair in the dirty shower...with pubic hair from the last guest to make your experience more personal. When you look at your new 'do in the mirror, you must share the space with the last guest's toothpaste spit. Or maybe the spit from 10 guests ago. Who can tell? You will not feel alone in this room. The baby cockroaches will keep you company. You will walk around on the remnants of trash from previous guests. "What must their lives have been like," you wonder. Filthy. Their lives were filthy. And the maid left it all for you. The chair you will sit in has been broken by the weight of several fat people who obviously stood in it to cover the smoke detector with plastic so they could smoke in your non-smoking room. Creative people stayed here before you, so never forget that. They will be the reason you die from the place catching fire in the night because the detector is totally broken. This is not a "vacation" hotel, so scratch the notion of ever bringing anyone here with you, unless you hate them. It is an escape...from the law, from a spouse, from the child support people. If you were used to the good life, this place will prepare you for living in squalor. Oh, and the free internet doesn't work. This is a horror story for any who may venture. Not once in my life time have I had a worse experience. I stay with Wyndham quite a bit and for this place to carry thier name is a shame. Beer bottle under the bed, with chips to go along with, sure! That was irritating. The air conditioning unit that smelled of many days past wasn't very pleasant either. Nor was the large amount dust and grime on the air vents. But that is not why I give this place one star. The blood splatter on the wall didn't even set me off the way it should have. (This was one of our reward nights for being loyal to the brand by the way) It was also one of our only options in the area. It was at the outlets so we figured why not, what's the worst that could happen? Let me tell you why this place deserves to be shut down. The Howard Johnson in Commerce has little drilled holes that the maintenance men or other staff can see inside your rooms with. We stayed in room 103 and under the sink next to the toilet, and also the sink under the vantity's in the main room has peep holes. They are clear and easier to find than you may think. My service animal alerted me to someones presence or somethings presence I should say, so I checked it out. Thats when we found one of the first holes. Then the next, and then the vents you can see through to other rooms became clear as well. My fiance had also noticed this peeping area due to the light that is allowed to shine through to the bathing areas. I'm disgusted by the whole thing. Tony the GM sent me a sarcastic email telling me that because it wasn't noticed in time it never happened. Wyndham is reaching back out to us on Thursday of this week I've been informed. So wish us luck on some kind of resolve here and please do not stay at this peeping Tom, nasty, horror show of a motel. Your privacy means nothing to them, and nor does hygiene during this time of covid-19 either. We salute you Howard Johnson Commence Ga edition, you officially receive the worst service of all time awards, and for being so grimy your award is non stop continuing bad reviews by all who dare to stay within your walls. If I could give it zero stars, I would. I think the pictures say it all -- crumbs in the mattress, underneath the sheets. Old blood stain on the mattress pad, looks like someone died. Stained shower curtain. Scum in the shower. Multiple cigarette burns in a non smoking room. Then they said we won't get our money back for 7 days. Comical. We stayed around 40 minutes - between 2 rooms and processing the refund. The Best Western across the street is GREAT! read more

You get what you pay for. The online site advertises free breakfast, but there is none. Housekeeping didn't bother to empty the trash, and just pulled up the comforter instead of actually making the beds. I've seen at least 4 bugs crawling on the wall. Next time I think I'll pay a little more and get a better place to sleep read more

This place isn't that bad for the price of course but you expect at least a certain security and if anyone has ever had 'bed bugs' or know anyone who has had them, it can cripple you economically. When you travel you wonna know your safe and not going to take something back home that will take over your life and living environment back home. They are hard to get rid of and pricy to do so, and they make it hard to recover from them once they have already made it inside. Please be aware of this before booking a night. I brought this to their attention and was refunded but was told it would take 7 - 10 days depending on my bank and already had a limited funds to begin with which was the reason I even booked a night there due to how affordable it seemed. Ended up sleeping in the truck, but this isn't about my hardship, I just want to make sure noone else has to experience the struggle of having to deal with a bed bug infestation. So I'm hoping they do as they say and take care of this.. good luck, and look in your bed before you sleep. No matter where you sleep always look for those little cripplers. No joke.. read more

You get what you pay for! Our room is nasty! Pay a little more to stay at a better and cleaner place! The bathroom is the dirtiest I've seen so far. The beds have stains, the mirrors look as if they haven't been cleaned in a very long time. Outdated furniture and beds are hard as a rock! No microwave or refrigerator, but it has a safe. While they are trying, the room has signs of fresh remodeling and paint. However, the remodels are poorly done and the paint is patchy. The room didn't have towels and the AC only worked intermittently. read more

They are going through renovations, but, the rooms available to rent aren't clean. I've switched rooms 4 times. The sheets are dingy/dirty. In one room, it looks as though it had sex stains on the sheets. 2 had dirty bathtubs. 3 rooms had dirty bathtub non slip mats. 2 rooms had heating problems. Also, the chairs are filthy. I am booked for a few days, but after the first night of all this, and sleeping in a cold room overnight. I am asking for my money back for the rest of my stay. read more

Letting you be warned, this place is terrible. Room smelled bad, carpet was disgusting. A/c unit must not have been cleaned for years. Beds were stained. Smoke alarm went off in morning when showering. There was mold growing in the tray which holds the spare drinking cups. Say they have wifi, but it's limited (no YouTube, no web browser, no Yelp otherwise this review would have been up last night). Feel fortunate to have hot water! On the positive side, parking lot was lit well, and staff was friendly -- aside from feeling like I was put in one of their worse rooms... Do yourself a favor, pay an extra $20 or $30 and stay somewhere else. Wyndham should be ashamed of this place. read more
