It's unfortunate that I have to write this review because our initial experience was quite positive when we first moved in. Unfortunately, everything changed after Hurricane Milton last year. Our section of the apartment complex flooded, and we had to sleep in our car for about a week and a half because the management did not offer any accommodations. I understand that our living situation and the flooding was not the management teams fault, however we were never offered another unit to stay in or any other options regarding our comfort moving forward with our lease. Although the repairs were eventually done, the communication was poor, and we never felt truly supported. To this day, the grass area behind our apartment still floods every time it rains, despite us contacting the office multiple times and providing pictures and videos as evidence. Unfortunately, no action has been taken, which has contributed to our feeling of insecurity and has forced us to cut our lease short. Since the new management took over, the quality of service has declined further. We've experienced poor maintenance handling, unauthorized entries into our apartment, and unprofessional communication. Despite being great tenants for nearly two years, we feel pushed out and no longer safe in our home. We are eagerly looking forward to leaving and hope that the complex can improve for future residents. My rotten experience with this company began in May when I received a collections notice from a property I had not lived in for over a year at that point. I went through back and forth with the collections agency and the property before I got fed up and filed a complaint with the BBB. The regional manager of Denver responded promptly and told me that not only did I actually not owe any money, the property owed ME money because they overcharged my security deposit. She said they would clear the debt, refund $299 that was overcharged and send me $600 as compensation. This occurred on 6/6/24. It is now 7/19/24 and I have received nothing. No proof the debt was cancelled, no compensation, no refund. It is difficult to get someone to pick up the phone and ACTUALLY commit to rectifying the situation. Leasing manager is 'away on vacation' and not returning calls or voicemail(s)... at all. Toured a couple months ago and was told by leasing girl (A) there was a 1/2 broker fee paid for the same unit we toured.. Then they declined and went silent when my client came back and rented the unit. Not even a courtesy follow-up on the maintenance issue though? Expect less from this joke of an community operated by Bell Partners. A LOT less. I am currently living here at the end of an 18 month lease. I have been trapped in essentially an expensive dog kennel inside of a junkyard @ The Mills in Greenville. My refrigerator smelled so badly of peppers when I moved in that bleach, baking soda & charcoal I paid for wouldn't help and Jeri still refused to get me another one. A maintenance worker had to sneak me one. A fire alarm control room alarm beeped constantly, and when I called to ask them to shut if off they became very upset, even though they drove right past it everyday on their cart. I let my toilet run for 6 months because the front desk and maintenance were so rude. This was mainly Jeri, they are all gone now but the new team is just as rude and ineffective, but they smile to your face. Parking is overrun with junk cars and motorcycles, I was forced to call Greenville county for the Parking and constant barking dogs and poop. I hope this saves someone the terrible experience. Bell Partners was the property management company when i moved to the Meadows apts in Asheville, NC now called Ascent apartments Asheville. I gave a one month security deposit as requested. A few years later Bell Partners left and NHE took over. They neglected to transfer the proper information to their leases and my security deposit wasn't on my lease. Now another company has taken over and wanted to credit my account as they do not require a deposit. They couldn't because there was no record of it. So i contacted Bell and spoke to Lydia about the situation and she went out of her way to help me. She found my ledger dating back 11 years and all the financial info is on it. I now have sent it to our current manager and hopefully my account can now be credited. NHE as usual would not help me. Also leases are discarded after 7 years. The original lease was lost. If Bell hadn't helped me i would have lost my money and in such difficult times when most of us are barely making it. I greatly appreciate what Bell Partners did for me. There have been many reports of poor living conditions, negligence by management, and preventable problems. A repeated pipe burst incident left me displaced for almost two weeks due to management's failure to address the issue initially. Worst experience at Mercer 1900 and a total scam of people's hard earned money! My daughter who is a resident at Mercer 1900 recently delivered a baby on 05/19 and also had major post surgery afterwards. This required her to have someone come and stay and care for her for days postpartum. After 7 days of vehicle being in a registered visitor spot, she was by the General Manager, Danielle Kaya, to now register the vehicle as an add on vehicle to her apartment account because visitors stay isn't extended past 7 days consecutive with Myparkingbadge.com, which is why she initially received a notification that vehicle was blocked from registering as a visitor. At 5:31 p.m, on 05/24/24, is when Danielle gave her the authorization to do this add on transaction to prevent vehicle from being ever being towed and insure it was in fact authorized to be parked at the property. At approximately 5:37 p.m., on 05/24/24; my daughter received confirmation from Mercer 1900 Apartment complex website that the vehicle in question had been added and a change was updated on her resident account. Now, on 05/25/24 at approximately 2:52 a.m. the vehicle that was previously authorized to be added on my daughters resident account as a new vehicle, was towed by JLS Towing, a contracted towing company for Mercer 1900 Apartments. How do you tow a vehicle that is authorized to be in the property??? I personally spoke with Cirilo, the only leasing consultant on staff on 05/25/24 and he unable to assist with this illegal tow that occurred in their property. Management wasn't available and refused to contact my daughter to resolve the issue after repeated attempts for them to do so. Also, Farmers Branch Police Dept was eventually called out by my daughter and her mom due to the nature of the events that unfolded. The storage company that the vehicle was sent to by JLS Towing advised that Mercer 1900 needed to contact JLS Towing to rectify situation since vehicle shouldn't have been towed in the first place. I'm appalled at their decision to not do so. At approximately around 2 p.m., on 05/25/24, I was even advised by Cirilo that their system doesn't show a change occurred even when a confirmation was received and I also showed to them this email receipt confirmation in person. To tell a resident your system doesn't show a change or is not updated but it does automatically when a change occurs is absurd! To insinuate as if I'm using a different personal website to procure a record of a transaction, is a total lack of disregard and disrespect to my daughter as a resident. My daughter had to pay $330.95 to get the vehicle back from this illegal tow that occurred. She needs to be refunded immediately! This is definitely a matter that should have been handled by the apartment complex. To do business in this manner is totally unacceptable. Not to mention the intentional added on stress you've placed upon a resident that is less than 7 days postpartum. Do management and staff to show no empathy when they are the reason this illegal tow occurred. I advised Cirilo this opens up an avenue for multiple civil lawsuits. He advise he would contact the towing company and contact me back. Of course this never occurred and my daughter was out of, again $330.95 to get the vehicle back, to not incur any additional fees. When you have a resident requesting for management to contact you; contact the towing company or even have management from the actual management company Bell Partners contact you and they refuse to do so, how does this make a resident feel they're residing at. Place they can trust. Again, my daughter needs to be refunded back all of her money for this illegal tow and management need to personally address the issue with we ASAP! All the federal and civil violations that occurred with not go unaddressed! As a parent I shouldn't have had to call and speak on my adult child's behalf, but that's what you do when your child who just just delivered a baby less than 7 days ago is having to deal with a horrible ordeal from a place where she pays rent. read more

This management company does the worst job at maintaining complexes. I live at Bell Frisco Market Center in Frisco, TX and it's been a nightmare. The gate to the garage has been broken longer than it's ever been operable. All exterior doors are unlocked and doors in the garage sit wide open. Literally anyone can walk in and access all units. This has been going on well over year after car break ins, and apartment break ins. The leasing office has told me for a year that the locks will be fixed "in a few months". The fire alarms constantly go off all times of the day and night. So much so that no one leaves the building anymore. I'd hate for an actual fire to happen as most of us would not take it seriously at all. The hallways constantly smell like we're living in a dumpster and there is garbage all in the garage, the hallways, the stairwell... EVERYWHERE. I've emailed the property manager, and the regional office and I haven't gotten any responses. Even when someone wrote the N word one someone's car. I reached out in concern and I got nothing. No exact timeframe on when things will get fixed. Consistent excuses anytime there is an issue. Most of the time I can't even call the leasing office because the phones are down. You would think with all the money the residents are paying this complex would be in better condition. AVOID any property managed by Bell Partners. read more

This is the management company for where I live, West Village in Wildwood, Florida. I just moved in here three weeks coming in from another state. I will try to briefly go over everything that has happened since I lived here just to give you the general idea of whether or not you would like to live here. First of all, I could not access my mailbox. There was no key and according to the post office, it took the management office six days to go to the post office and pay to have a new key cut so I could access my mail. I still cannot access my mail because the post office got their wires crossed from what I was told by the mail carrier and they cut two different keys on two different occasions to have me get into my mailbox. The front office refuses to put the 'second' new key in my apartment during the day when I am at work even though they have been given the OK to come in without me there. So I had to take off work and go to the main office during business hours to get the new key. Once I arrived, no one was in the front office, drinks were left on the desk, fans were blowing, computers were running. In other words, people were there they just were not in the building at the time and they did not lock any doors up when they left. The place was left wide open, and of course, I was not able to pick up my key since no one was there. I have neighbors that live above me that sound like they are dropping bombs on the floor every single night. The front office did speak to them and it worked for a while but now I'm having issues again. I've had to call the police this time because the main office is angry with me and they are refusing to speak to me, very mature! Not only do I still continue to have issues with receiving my mail after being here for 3 1/2 weeks and neighbors upstairs, I moved into a filthy apartment that had blood splattered on sections of the vertical blinds in the bedroom, and also on the bottom of the refrigerator in the kitchen. I was told the apartment was repainted and it was not. Knowing the condition of the apartment, had I not came in from out of state I would've never rented it. The microwave does not work and the refrigerator has a huge dent in it. Keep in mind, these apartments are only two years old. Either someone beat the hell out of them or they put used appliances in brand new apartments. I have had to put in three different maintenance requests all of which were ignored and had to be re-entered two or three times to get the attention of maintenance. Then I received text messages from maintenance stating the work have been completed, however nothing was ever fixed. I'm paying $70 a month for Internet and out of the 3 1/2 weeks I've been here my Internet has worked a total of four days. I could go on and on, but it comes down to a couple of things. The front office doesn't do shit for you nor do they take responsibility for anything that goes wrong. Maintenance does not do the work they are supposed to be doing and then lies and send you emails telling you that it was completed. I hope and pray after reading this you will save yourself the heartache and find another place to live. I can only hope that Bell Partners, the management company, will do something about all of this. They have had numerous complaints and continue to have more and more all the time. You think they'd get a clue. Me personally? My plan is to get the hell out of here and hire a lawyer if necessary to get a partial refund back based on the time that I was living here and what I had to pay upfront to move in. I live at Lasselle place apartments in Moreno Valley CA. I had a plumbing issue and asked that the maintenance crew not walk on my carpet with their outside shoes. They did this before and someone stepped in dog poop and brought it in on my carpet. They didn't listen and when I spoke to the manager about it she was rude, argumentative and dismissive. I can't wait to move out of here. It use to be good but after my encounter with her, I will do my best to not have any contact with her until I can leave. My apartment switched over to this management company, and at first I was excited, as I thought we might be getting upgrades/renovations, but now I'm not. Here's just a few of the things you can expect living in a Bell Partners community: 1. Maintenance to come 3 or 4 times before the problem is actually fixed, if it's fixed at all. 2. Community managers to ignore emails/phone calls. 3. Leasing agents to lie about the pricing of the apartment (this happened numerous times when I tried to transfer to another Bell property). 4. The front desk to be closed over Christmas, with no notice, so that residents cannot get their packages. 5. Air conditioners and elevators to break constantly. 6. Ridiculous rent increases. 7. Notices written using poor grammar and spelling. 8. No one else to reach out to except the property manager. Calls to the local DC office are not returned. I applied for an apartment and was advised that I would be given my deposit back if I withdrew my application within 48 hours of signing my lease. I never signed a lease and won't return my deposit because they sent out a welcome letter that twice had all incorrect information at to lease, parking, etc. and never sent a correct one. Now I'm told leasing manager is refusing my request for my deposit back based on a welcome letter. Think long before applying here, they are not a company of their word and their staff provides totally incorrect info and then steals your deposit. read more

My wife and I were suddenly unemployed due to COVID-19 affecting our respective businesses. We had to leave the apartment complex we were living in and move elsewhere because we could no longer pay the rent. Bell Partners, the management company for The Gate Apartments in Champions Gate, Florida, owned by Blue Rock, has attached an $1,800+ penalty for our having to leave the complex, then, sent it to collections without mailing us a billing. This is outrageous and unacceptable. We gave full notice and were never told we were being billed for anything. Others who left under similar circumstances were not billed anything like this. I have lived in a community that you managed so poorly that I counted the days until my lease was over. You hand-pick the most apathetic and contentious people to hire and if you, by accident, hire anyone with any kind of compassion and customer service skills, you will be sure to get rid of them, as your only goal is to assure that you point fingers at the tenants and deny everything until the end of the days. Is it legal to call a tenant, deceive them and tell them they have to sign a new lease (with amendment changes) claiming you never received their signed copy (which you did through BlueDoc), when they have lived in your community for 5 months? When I tried to call you at the HQ to discuss, I noone ever picked up and I never received a call back. How you get away with the same exact issues at every single property you manage is beyond me! Do not live in a Bell Partners owned rental! This company took over for my previous rental management agency two weeks ago, and that is all it took for me to cancel my lease. Hundreds of dollars worth of fees is worth getting away from this unorganized and flat out rude service. Here is a list of the complaints I have compiled in two short weeks: 1. Calling to ask any question is met with a condescending and rude tone, as well as no solution. So, if you do plan to live at one of their properties, be sure you NEVER ask a question or have to interact with the staff. 2. The home office or region office will pass your calls around to each other to avoid having to address an issues, accept any blame, or solve any problems. If you plan to live here you are expected to pay your rent, shut up, and not under any circumstances ask ANY employee to work. 3. Expect flat out lies from staff. If they tell you they will return a call or that a fee will be removed due to their error, it will not happen. Do not hold your breath. Just give them all of your money and walk away. It is a billion dollar company and they got that way by charging arbitrary fees and never fixing the homes they rent. 4. Do not expect any tenants/neighbors to be held to lease/community standards. If all of your neighbors walk their dogs off-leash and never remove pet waste, that is just your life now. IF THIS COMPANY TAKES OVER YOUR LEASE, RUN. We are renting at Bell Meadowmont and had a minor issue with a door handle which came off a patio door. It wasn't urgent or a high priority item but the company responded quickly and sent Eddie out the next day to repair the door. After he reattached the handle and had me check it to make sure it was ok, I mentioned that the door was sticking and difficult to open which probably contributed to the problem with the handle. Eddie then went out to his car and returned with a screwdriver to tighten the hinges on the door. The handle was repaired and Eddie went above and beyond to make the door open smoothly all in less than 24 hours of the complaint. Couldn't be more pleased with the service. I moved in to an apartment managed by Bell Partners in February. Every month from February to May, my rent has not been correct. Even the initial lease was held up because the lease amount was wrong and the prorated amount was also wrong. They left a bill on my apartment door in March for a bill I had already paid. On April 18 they sent me an email saying I was overdue for my rent which had been paid on April 1. I had to send a copy of the electronic transfer from my bank to show I paid it. Worse yet, that same month I received 3 different amounts due for the same time period- How can you get it wrong 3 times in the same month?! Now again, in May, the amount is incorrect. They never, ever answer the phone. I called periodically all day long on several different occasions and they just don't pick up. This is especially challenging now because the office is closed due to corona virus and they won't come to the door (even from 6 feet distance) They use it as an excuse to not handle requests and complaints. Another tenant and I both had packages to pick up but the door to the package room was locked. She had been calling and calling from outside the office and we could see the guy in there but he wouldn't answer the phone! I started banging on the door and he wouldn't open the door. I wish I had never moved in here. I am concerned this irresponsible place will damage my impeccable credit. They also have a F on the BBB! Wish I would have looked there first! Went to check out an apartment owned or operated by this group. Spoke with a lady whose first name is Ashley. She not only was rude to myself but the people who came with deliveries when we were talking with her. Instead of letting them know they need to take them to the units and or mail room she ended up threatening them with the police. We didn't end up seeing a unit like planned and left is pure shock. The absolute worst living conditions in my specific unit I have ever experienced. I live in Steeplechase apartments in Greensboro and have not had a pleasant experience from the first week I moved in (August 12th, 2017). In regards to Bell as a whole, I cannot say that they do not care about their tenants, because I can only speak of my personal experience, but they could care less about me as their tenant. After doing research I found that one of their core values is to "serve somebody." I find it ironic. Corporate lacks customer service and its a shame because they have so much potential with the amount of properties they manage.The day I moved into Steeplechase apartments, I was greeted with mice under the sink with feces everywhere and pantry moths. Lastly, the regional manager Lisa, discussed my personal information on my apartment to someone that is not on my lease and did not have my consent to do so. She never even asked if that person is who they said they were and the negligence has resulted into putting me in an uncomfortable situation, in which someone knows personal information about where I live and of my situation. I am forced to seek legal advice on this disclosure of information and negligence. I have documentation of everything, dates, phone calls, and pictures. For Legal reasons, I will NOT tell future residents "Do Not live at a bell property," but I will hope that you consider my personal experience when making your decision on whether you want to live at a bell property or not. read more

I live in Potomac Towers, Arlington, VA, managed by Bell Partners. This is the second year of their management at Potomac Towers and they are doing an excellent job of running our community. Management is proactive in reaching out to the community to identify areas tenants would like to see improvement (a new dog park) and identify problems and improve living conditions at Potomac Towers. The staff is courteous and friendly and I could not imagine them not responding to a problem or concern brought to their attention. Maintenance has been outstanding under both Bell and the former management company. Bell has contacted me on numerous occasions to make sure my tenancy is enjoyable and they always listen to my concerns. As far as my personal experience I can't say enough good things about Bell management. I don't know what some tenants are looking for or expect these days but for our location and price point Potomac Towers can't be beat. read more
