My child attended KinderCare for 17 months. On 5/22/26, an incident occurred that ultimately led to my decision to withdraw my child from KinderCare. On the morning of May 22, my husband, and I changed our toddler's diaper before drop-off. At that time, his skin was completely clear with no diaper rash or irritation. KinderCare documents his last diaper change that day occurred at 3:15 p.m. He remained at the facility until approximately 6:15 p.m. that evening. Upon pickup, we returned home (3 minutes away) and changed his diaper, as we routinely do after pickup regardless of recent diaper changes. At that time, we observed the diaper change time written on his diaper as 3:15 p.m., consistent with KinderCare's practice of writing diaper change times directly on diapers with permanent marker. We observed blood in his diaper area; that his skin was no longer clear, unlike at the time of drop-off that day. The rapid development of this condition raised immediate concerns regarding the care he received while at KinderCare. The resulting diaper rash that progressed to raw, bleeding skin lasted 8 to 10 days. Staff informed me that the practice of writing diaper change times on diapers was implemented to ensure accountability and address prior concerns regarding diaper changing. This policy was introduced during the tenure of the current director, who is the third director I have observed during my child's enrollment. My concerns were not limited to a single incident. My husband and I sent separate messages on the app regarding concerns. Neither message received acknowledgment or response. Then, I received an email stating that I had not provided sufficient notice and would be billed accordingly. At that time, my access to the daycare app had also been disabled, preventing further communication or review of account messages through the platform. I am requesting that KinderCare: Waive any tuition, withdrawal fees, or additional charges related to my immediate withdrawal following these care concerns. Release my child's photographs immediately upon arrival or confirm they will not be withheld. Review the circumstances surrounding my child's care, including the diaper rash incident. Provide a written response addressing the concerns raised in this complaint. My primary concern is not solely the billing dispute, but whether the facility is providing an appropriate standard of care, maintaining adequate staffing, and responding appropriately when serious concerns are raised by parents regarding a child's health and well-being. I will be escalating this continuously through all available external resources. For documentation and legal purposes, please acknowledge receipt of this complaint and provide a written response addressing the concerns raised. If this matter is being referred to another department or investigator, please provide that information in writing as well. my son has attended this daycare since he was 9 months and it started rocky because i had never been away from him. but Ms. Angela helped me with that transition and i couldn't thank her enough. First I would like to say thank you to all the ladies at Bell Shoals KinderCare! My first and only miracle baby has been in their care on and off since she was 10 weeks old. I add 2 hours to my drive every day to take her there (30 min there and back then again in the evening) because of how much I love and trust the ladies at this center. Theresa has been great with assisting in any kind of paperwork support or assistance helping us save a lot during challenging times. The ladies in the infant and tots rooms (especially Angela and Jackie) have been great and very patient with helping my daughter through some emotional times. She has had some separation anxiety as well as adjusting to new challenging things in our home due to family illness. They have been so patient and kind letting her adjust at her own pace and meeting her where she is at. I love the pictures and videos of different activities they do throughout the day! Keeps my mind at peace while I work. I would not be able to work and deal with everything else on my plate without you guys! Thank you for everything you do! read more

Kindercare has a lot of work to do specifically this location the turnover rate for management is ridiculous and the care for their employees are poor they have had more than three directors in the last 1 1/2 years and any teacher that has worked there for over a year has quit & there is about three good teachers left in the school and for some odd reason every new hire seems to realize really quickly that child care isn't for them ! So being understaffed is an consistent and inconvenient thing .. meaning classrooms are being closed and kids are being merged into other classrooms leaving there employees overworked and under paid and it's just not enough room and resources in this establishment I know because I was a teacher here for about a year and this was by far the worst job I have ever had unfortunately I never received the support I needed to be a successful teacher & I'm just hoping this KinderCare gets it together because it has a great potential and great children just needs a lot more Long term stability in the management department and I really wish that they had fought for some of the teachers that have been there for years that quit because without them they wouldn't have come as far as they have today .. the company should've did everything to keep those teachers everything to satisfy those teachers to make them want to stay and if the kids had a say they definitely would prefer the same teacher they've had for years over a new teacher every other week but that says a lot about the company Kindercare itself as to why I too eventually end up quitting because it became too much ! So if you ever had or have children attend this Kindercare I can almost guarantee you your kids were not in good hands if they weren't in Ms Dawn Ms Savannah Ms Ariel (myself ) Ms Bri or Ms Lacie class and the cook Ms dezmila and only two of those teachers still remain as employees in that building so you can only imagine what type of care your children are really receiving it's a hot mess ok my rant is over I just hope this helps a family Because it's about the inside structure it's about the team that a daycare has that truly ensures that your kids are getting top notch care throughout the day trust me I'm a parent myself and I wouldn't want to find out my child was in a classroom at max capacity for most of there day doing nothing for hours and hours all because there daycare is understaffed or have a new staff member that really doesn't have the experience to give your child what they need throughout the day without being taught first just an example of what I mean so you guys can understand my thought process when writing this review read more

My girls attend this KinderCare and the director and the staff have taken my children's education and emotional state seriously. Not only do they offer the VPK that is needed, but they also provide options like Phonics if your child needs to be challenged a bit more. Compared to another KinderCare my children attended, this one includes a lot of additional educational experiences such as Spanish and cooking that would be an additional charge elsewhere. I will stay with this KinderCare until my children are too old to attend. They are fabulous!! read more

Will be updating once we have first hand experience but here's what I go so far from a tour: Met with Krys; she's the director and has been there for years! We have an infant and are particular with our needs. This day care accommodates PT schedules (1-4 days), changes in schedules (e.g., from 2 days to 3 with wkly notice), will use parent provided cloth diapers, parents can choose to bring their own baby food (we feed baby an organic diet), and does not have a cut off age for classroom transitions. The atmosphere of the center appeared very caring and warm. Staff was personable and presented good communication skills. Offers HCPS discount. I'm not sure what other discounts are available. They also do a lot of what other day cares offer (i.e., diaper changes, free formula, curriculum for social-emotional-physical dvlp, etc.). I'm posting this review because I called and visited lots of places and was impressed with KinderCare. La Petite Academy too dirty and indifferent to children. Discovery Point is more affordable but the staff spoke broken English and they appeared to maximize child-teacher ratios. KinderCare appears to be more accommodating each individual's family needs and their values. I will be updating this review once my little one attends. I'm a first time mom and was really struggling with the idea of my baby boy starting school. We visited KinderCare and fell in love with the director Chris and the teacher Miss Lea. We enrolled him immediately and he had his first day today. Everyone in the center knew his name from the second we walked in. They are Incredibly welcoming and were so supportive of my little man and myself. I can't recommend this place enough! They also already had his cubby labeled, ready and waiting. I pulled my child from this center today and she will never be back. They do not send children home for biting and rarely dis enroll as well. My child was severely bit in the face and they said the other child was just communicating with her. The child that bit her is almost three. I have also been trying to get them to teach her more as she was bored with learning the same thing and wasn't challenged enough. It took me talking with all of her teachers,two assistant directors, one director and one regional director to take me serious on her education. Learning center, not so much in the two's room. I also witnessed a teacher bulling an older child on the playground as well. This center has some major issues going on, management is constantly changing and they will just say what you want to hear. We visited several daycares and this is the only one that felt warm and caring. I'm a first time mom so I was unsure how I would feel about dropping off our 3 month old but he loves it there! His 3 teachers and the director are very caring and attentive. I feel good about dropping him off every morning. He's now been there a month and we haven't had any issues or problems so I rate this daycare 5 stars easily! Every day he greets them with a big grin which just melts my heart! read more
