My experience with Bella Bridesmaids was exceptional from start to finish. My bridesmaids and I had an appointment to go in a look at dresses and Carly made it easy and enjoyable. Once we picked the dresses, there was constant communication and the ordering process was super easy. Emails were returned promptly even during non-business hours, and any concerns were put to rest quickly. I picked several styles for my bridesmaids and I thought this might be a confusing process. Not with BB! Carly even sent me a sweet card after I picked up all my bridesmaids dresses. She also helped me out AFTER all was said and done when one of my bridesmaids dresses didn't quite fit. The knowledge of designers and gowns along with the friendly and prompt communication allowed for a wonderful and stress-free experience. And even better-- it was FUN! I had a very upsetting appointment today at the Charlotte location as a plus size woman. My bride flew in from NJ as I am her only out of state bridesmaid, I thought it worked perfectly I didn't have to travel to the freehold location for fitting. My bride had a wonderful experience at freehold location. The women who assisted me was very sweet, but made no effort to make me feel comfortable and confident in my body. The store manly offers 8-12 size sample dresses and only had one dress size 20 and 26. This was extremely limiting as it didn't let me try on certain styles etc. I wasn't measured until the end of the appointment but in the beginning handed size 10 samples, it was extremely disheartening and embarrassing to not be able to fit and try on dresses for my bride who traveled so far. I asked about options to order my size dresses and return which I did not want- I was denied that they are non refundable. I am upset that the expectation is for me to buy a $300 dress I have 0 opportunity to try on prior. The freehold location stock carries more plus size options, so I called the Columbia SC location asking about there inventory and the women was wonderful & helpful. She went over stock sizes and styles they have (several plus size) and also told me she will send an email and ask other locations to send there stock sizes over 20 for me to try in store. She did not see me or talk to me more than 5 minutes and was more helpful in the process than Charlotte. read more

I'm a bridesmaid in a wedding this coming August so I went here to get fitted for the dress. The staff were very very friendly and helped me tie the infinity dress the bride chose for us multiple ways. one of the staff members also took my measurements for me to take with me and order my dress online. They seem to have a nice selection of dresses in store but I personally wouldn't buy the dress that was chosen here as I have seen it online for well under $100 and this dress was priced at $270, $284 with tax here but it's not my wedding. If you're looking for affordable dresses I'd go elsewhere. read more

My first problem with Bella was trying to contact them. I called for three hours on a Wednesday afternoon and no one answered the phone. I called back Thursday morning and got no answer. I did leave a message and got a return call a couple of hours later. I was able to get an appointment to have my daughter try in dresses for my other daughter's wedding in Memphis, Tn. I was definitely surprised in the differences in this store and the Memphis store. This store has probably less than half of the stock That the Memphis store has. The dresses are not displayed in a very attractive manner. They are crammed tightly together and were hard to see. They are hung in unattractive wooden hangers. The store just doesn't have an overall inviting atmosphere. The two ladies who worked there were not especially helpful. They just pointed us in the direction of the designer we were interested in and didn't really even get up from the desk until the had to show us to a dressing room. Overall, it was not a pleasant experience and we would not return. Luckily we have to order the dress through the Memphis store. This Charlotte store needs to take some lessons from Memphis. The store and employees there were so welcoming and enthusiastic, a true happy experience. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that we were not buying from the Charlotte store, only receiving a complimentary fitting. read more

The experience here has been appalling and doesn't deserve 1 star. First off no one ever answered the phone or returned emails or just had common courtesy for the clientele. We had an initial appointment scheduled and arrived to find another group still there and no one to help us as Cecily was completely occupied with the other group. Nonetheless, by the end of the appointment we ordered our bridesmaid dresses from here through Cecily.... And that was the last time we ever heard from her. After trying to chase someone down for months we finally heard from a new owner that said she was no longer there. Great. Our dresses arrive (3.5 months later) and nothing was correct. None of the colors even matched each other, one of the dresses even looked like it had been previously demolished. So now the dresses have been sent back and they are trying to match them all and we have yet to have a complete selection of bridesmaid dresses for a wedding that is 6 weeks away. Even asking for a discount or refunds (for dresses we still don't have in our possession that were $200!!) we were told it was Cecily's order and she would have to take care of it. Ummm... She's no longer an owner or involved and they expect us to chase after her when she didn't even communicate to us when she was part of this business? Yeah, no. Take care of it yourself since this wasn't our problem. At this point we are just keeping our fingers crossed we even get these dresses back BEFORE the wedding and by some miracle they fit perfect and no one needs alterations since we don't have any time left! Save yourself stress, money and annoyance and avoid this place if you can. You can thank me later. And let me remind you that it's August 2nd, and the dresses we ordered in March have still not arrived. Wedding is in 4 weeks. HORRIFIC read more

Horrible customer service. I've never written a Yelp review, but this left such a bad taste that I couldn't let it slide. Shopping for your wedding is fun and exciting, so to be met with such a bad attitude is upsetting to not only me, but my family who was here helping me. We were late for our appointment (because I was next door at Ladies of Lineage buying my wedding dress) and the first thing that was said to us when we walked in was that she had another appointment. No greeting, no I'm sorry we'll have to reschedule, nothing but a negative attitude. Yes, we were late, but we were still within our appointment time and we already had the dress picked out, the bridesmaids just needed to try them on, but she didn't even take the time to ask what our needs were. The dresses that Bella Bridesmaids offers are absolutely gorgeous but their customer service leaves a bit to be desired. I had an appointment at the Indianapolis location and the girls were pleasant there. One of my bridesmaids lives in Charlotte and went to get her measurements taken and the girl working there was extremely rude. That location does not answer the phone or return phone calls so she was forced to drop in because she could not get a hold of the store. Once inside, she was dismissed and treated poorly. I wish customer service was better, and we are now taking our business elsewhere because of this. Again, their dresses in stock are amazing. But wedding planning is stressful enough and to add a crappy experience on something that should be so fun was a huge disappointment. read more

They were located all over the place, and she made sure that even if they visited other Bella locations, all of the information was up to date and I knew the status. The entire process of picking out the dresses, getting them ordered, and getting them in was beyond easy. She provided great recommendations for alterations, so we had no problems at all. I did not have a very good impression or experience at Bella bridesmaids in Charlotte. My daughter is getting married in October and is looking for dresses for her flower girls. I was in the area and saw the Bella bridesmaid store and thought I would take a look. When I got to the door, there was a sign that said. "By appointment only." I opened the door to see if maybe I could make an appointment. I asked the two young ladies if they sold flower girl dresses. One of the ladies said "yes but they're quite expensive. Maybe you should try Etsy online. They are less expensive" Her tone was very condescending. I stood there for a moment and didn't know what to say. I was not looking for a cheap dress. In fact my daughter's wedding is well above the average cost of a typical wedding. I left feeling totally humiliated and disappointed.
