She's the only stylist I've ever had who dries and straightens my hair FIRST before cutting and it makes all the difference. My hair hasn't looked this good in years and I've tried both of the other "fancy" hair salons in EDH Town Center, as well as $300 salons in Seattle where I used to live. It's easy to make an appointment with her via text and I haven't had to wait more than a few days to get her next appointment. In addition, my hair is about 25% grey and I'm leaving it natural, and Tiffany was the only stylist here in CA who didn't "gently suggest" that I should color it to cover it up. I really appreciate that about her, even though that doesn't seem to be the norm around here. IMO her price is beyond reasonable for the detail-oriented work she does. I hope she never leaves me :)

What I can say is the communication from the owner is extremely lacking. I sent the business a direct message through Facebook indicating I would love to set up an appointment for a haircut. The person who got back to me identified herself as the owner, and basically said she was on a trip, and asked if I could text her about my appointment request a few days later when she returned. I already thought that was odd... Shouldn't she have reached out to me after she returned? Couldn't she have recommended one of her stylists to assist me in her absence? But, I did as told... Texting her upon her return and again explaining what I needed, in hopes of setting an appointment. I texted her in the morning... She didn't get back to me till in the early evening. When she did, she addressed me with a completely misspelled name (unprofessional), and gave one option for a particular day and time which I couldn't make. I texted her back right away, explaining that the day she was offering was my birthday, and would therefore be pretty busy. She finally responded hours later, late into the evening saying that she would see if she had availability on another day after she got back into the shop the next day and looked at the schedule... Never heard back. Does it really need to be this hard? Seriously don't have time for this kind of jerking around. Easily made an appointment at another local reputable salon... I have a feeling I will be much happier with the outcome there.

After spending a lot of time trying to make it look presentable each day, I did some research online and on Yelp. That's when I found the many positive reviews for Lox and Hue Salon on Placerville Drive. I made an appointment with Jaimie, initially planning to get a perm because I thought adding body might solve my hair issues. During my appointment, Jaimie took the time to discuss my concerns, how I typically styled my hair, the products I used, and the time I spent on my daily routine. After carefully evaluating my hair and listening to my goals, she recommended against a perm. Instead, she suggested a cut that would better suit my hair and texturize the heavier, unmanageable areas. After a relaxing shampoo, a great cut, and a beautiful style, I left the salon feeling happier and more confident than I had in a long time. Jaimie did an amazing job, and I couldn't be more pleased with the results. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a stylist who truly listens and knows how to make hair work for you. My only disappointment is that I don't live nearby and can't return to her regularly. However, whenever I'm in the area, I will definitely be making another appointment with Jaimie!

After making the 40 min drive and arriving, I find out that my appointment was canceled with NO contact from the stylist or the salon. She had booked someone else for the same time slot. When I asked to get a different stylist and explained how far I lived the receptionist told me no one was available. I asked to speak with the manager and both the receptionist and Alisha told me they are unable to give that information out. Both kept repeating "we are all self employed". Alisha's reason for "canceling" my appointment was because I didn't reply to her text which had asked for a picture of my hair goals. I pulled up the text thread which shows not just one reply but TWO that I sent to her. She denied ever receiving my messages. I did not receive a text or phone call from neither her or the salon, canceling my appointment. After reading the reviews on here, appointment canceling seems to be pretty standard for this place. Trust me, don't waste your time going here. What terrible customer service and poor reflection on the salon. I left completely having wasted my time and feeling very upset by the entire ordeal.
