6/2021 Expensive things that we would never wear or own. Not a store for us. Not even worth the 5 minutes we spent in it.

I went into the store to make a return. I had all of the packaging and receipts. I was asked to…read morecomplete the information on the electronic debit/credit machine. I did so, and silence followed. I told the associate I had completed this initial step and she just stared at me. After the awkward silence she said, "Well, I am waiting for you. Where are your receipts?" How about speaking with kindness, especially when you are dealing with the public during the holiday season?! No thank you, Loft. I have bought numerous items from your store in Kildeer but those days are long gone. Take some classes in customer service!

DO NOT SHOP HERE I…read morecame in to the loft on the afternoon of June 19th with my husband to check out items that I saw online wanted to see in person. I was not greeted by the staff. One employee spoke to the lady who came in behind me and immediately told her about their current sales and other items. I looked around and decided to try on a couple of items. The employee frequently checked with the other customers in the store on how they were doing and if they needed any help, but not me. When I went to the dressing room another employee a young woman ignored me as if I was invisible. She didn't say you can go into any dressing room she just turned her back to me and pretended I was not there. I proceeded to the first dressing room. When I came out. The same woman was there and she didn't ask if the clothes worked out or if I needed any other sizes she just turned her back to me again and ignored me. So I just dropped the clothes on rack next to her and walked out of the store. Even though I was interested in purchasing one of the items I tried on, I decided I was not going to purchase at a store that treated me with such disrespect, disregard and clearly racism. They do not deserve my money. Staff is extremely unfriendly and lack of customer service. I will not be returning nor will I purchase items online. I will be sharing my experience with my friends & family and urge them NOT to shop here.

Maybe the worst shop I've ever been in?…read more It doesn't even look like a legit shop once you're inside -- more like a nearly empty room with some temporary stands and rented, scuffed-up, folding tables with the kind of crap you see for sale at junky nail salons. You know, those shiny, plastic-y looking purses, faux silver necklaces with a flip-flop charm on them and crazy headbands that look like costume rejects from a 1983 jazzercise program. And honestly, that's being nice. I'd feel bad about saying that if I thought there was any way this wasn't some type of money laundering or poorly set up government sting operation. I'll be the narc... this place has got to be a front or cover for something. I walked in and there was a little man slumped over in an office chair near the door and I think we woke him up, as he seemed nervous as we walked in. There was another guy sitting at a folding table with a laptop and it seemed like we'd interrupted his temporary work space. It was all very unofficial and strange that two men were 'running' the women's shop but didn't move or acknowledge us, the only women at all curious enough to even go in the store. I was half tempted to try to buy something just to see if they had even put any effort into getting a point-of-sale system to run transactions on to try and cover up whatever is really going on in this store. So incredibly strange. They had a folding table with nothing but headbands covered in that cheap, stretchy, sequined fabric they make little kid tap dance costumes out of, but stuffed with pillow stuffing to make it look like you had a squishy, sequined tube on your head. They also had a whole folding table with about a dozen different solid colored fabric visors (the kind you see in the back section at any Hobby Lobby next to the fabric glue and puff paint) with like 20 random sequins placed on the hat and hand-written paper sign that said, "$13" on them. In addition to the strange folding tables and standing rack of cheap, Chinese-made bags, there was a surplus of miscellaneous, used office chairs just out in the middle of the store and shoved against the back wall. Like an beaten-up office chair graveyard. Why? They had a few folding tables outside with super crappy, generic-non-brand, ultra-thin plastic shoes that the soles fall off the first time you flex your foot to walk with another hand-written in magic marker paper sign on top of all the shoe boxes that read $10. I could have made higher quality shoes myself with a piece of cardboard and a few feet of nylon ribbon. I feel like I should warn people not to go here, but it's so crazy that this place is even a store that exists that I want to challenge people to go there and see for themselves. It reminds me of those super low-budget tents you see in cheesy touristy places, usually by beaches where they just sell a bunch of junk that *might* last as long as your long-weekend vacation before it breaks, only more messy, with less stuff, and a super shady-looking set up. Stores like this are the reason downtown Long Grove is a shell (and barely) of it's former self. There's no heart here, and no wonder downtown Long Grove is in such bad shape these days. Strut is just a bunk of crappy, dollar-store-circa-1981 junk piled up on dirty folding tables. They aren't even trying here.
