From what the welcoming girl that works at this location told me, there are 22 other Bevello stores, although the one at Deer Park is the ONLY one in the mid-west. How lucky are we?! She did say that there are plans of opening another one in the South Loop of Chicago soon. Bevello carries a variety of well known brands such as Seven for all Mankind, Splendid, Paige, BCBG, Michael Kors, and more. I have to admit that I was saddened when the French Connection, in Woodfield Mall, decided to close up shop. That frown has now been turn upside down as I have found that Bevello carries French Connection. It's as if they searched through all the funky options that I would of normally had to sift through, and picked out the cute articles of clothing just for me. How generous of them. I also spotted some hip colorful, I believe James Jeans, that even on sale I had to talk myself out of. With all my might, I forced my gaze away and repeated in my head, "You do not need $200 jeans. The shop has great selection- lots of options in lots of colors, so if you like a certain style of shirt or dress, they have it in a few color options which is always nice. The store was bright and airy and really had a bunch of cool, not-too-expensive options. I came away with a BUNCH of shirts and a pair of Vince Camuto flats. They have a nice mix of pricier stuff (I tried on a really cute t-shirt that was $88!) and less expensive but still stylish things (most of the shirts I bought are in the $30-$40 range). Previously, returns were fairly simple, bring in to local Ultra or Kohl's and receive credit, with no fees charged. Now, I am advised even if I return in person to my local Kohl's, I will be charged $8.95 for freight! This is a terrible way to treat customers! Why shop there, when other vendors do not impose this added cost? After years of buying, I am finished. Product quality has deteriorated, and now it seems they disregard the needs of customers.

However, I just visited the Deer Park location to be met with two young girls who informed me they don't really carry wide any more. They brought out six pairs, none of which suited my foot. When I asked if any other store carried more wide widths, I was told no. They get what they get, it's all the same from store to store. Having worked in retail for years, I know that is not how replenishment works. These young ladies didn't bother to check inventory in other stores or offer any other help. They did not try to help and did not care when I walked out of the store in great disappointment.

Once the transaction was over he announced it would take 5 to 7 days to get the shoes. I went to my car, checked out my zappos app, find they were the same price and bought them online. They will be delivered in one day and I can wear them this weekend. I went right back into the store and requested a refund. The store associate got the manager. The manager said I could not get a refund as the transaction was already at the warehouse. He told me I'd have to wait to receive them to get my refund. A) seems ridiculous that they didn't have the ability to get me product sooner than 7 days when zappos had them in stock and could ship immediately B) have shopped frequently since this deer park location opened and always had a nice experience. Til now with this nasty manager. Pretty high priced shoes for lousy service!
