I stopped by their office to inquire about a property that I have inherited, and their office door was locked, and it was at 11 o'clock in the morning. I was knocking on the door and could see both secretaries looking down and not at me, until somebody came to the door and told me that I needed to calm down. What they don't tell you is that they take several applications and your non-refundable money and supposedly check your credit and background reports (as to the $$), then give several of the applicants to the owners to review. The owners, supposedly decide if they want to rent to any of these applicants and if they don't, they get several more (which gives them more applicant $$ to keep). Don't be fooled by them!! Trust in the reviews!! If you have already been scammed by them, please report them to the BBB. They need to be called out.

He was very positive when we spoke to him and set up an appointment to come over to our home. He did not show up for the appointment and did not call to explain or apologize. My wife called him and he apologized and gave an excuse. She set up another appointment with Anthony. The date came and went again with no call no show from Anthony. Anthony Hargus' behavior is disappointing and unprofessional. If he did not want to work with us then he should have said so. Anthony had us set aside our time on two separate occasions and had us wait for appointments he was never intending to come to. I do not recommend Downtown Realty and especially Anthony Hargus. Tenant turnover used to be the worst for me... like seriously stressful. My old manager? meh... didn't really care, made me feel like I was losing money and it was all on me. Chambers kinda changed all that. Vacancies dont drag forever anymore, tenants actually pay on time, treat the place decent... sounds simple but after what I went thru before it felt amazing. Tenants seem way calmer too. Less drama, fewer complaints... stuff actually gets handled. Chambers takes care of the communication, maintenance, all that stuff without turning it into a headache. After a while, I just stopped asking and hoped nothing went wrong, which isn't exactly comforting when real money is involved. Once Chambers took over, that changed pretty quickly. Now when I have a question, I ask it and I get a real answer. Not days later. Not after following up multiple times. Just a normal, timely response like you would expect. It sounds basic, but it made a huge difference. What really stood out to me was how approachable they are. I've asked about lease stuff, tenant situations, random landlord questions, even things I probably should already know. I never felt rushed, brushed off, or made to feel dumb for asking. There were also times I reached out about things that weren't urgent at all or weren't technically their issue yet. They still helped me think it through and gave honest input. That was unexpected and genuinely appreciated. At this point, I don't feel like I'm guessing anymore.
