I'm sorry to give this nail salon a low score as the workers are very nice, but they reuse old buffers and old nail files on customers. A new one should be used on each new customer. By the time that I had noticed, it was too late. The nail tech was scrubbing my foot with an old worn down gray looking foot buffer that used to be white. I wanted to throw up. After the pedicure was done, she accidentally dropped the buffer on the floor. She picked it up and put it back in her "clean" tool box. Gag! read more

I love the work they do here. My acrylics (with gel polish) are more beautiful and last longer when they're done by Tony, than when I go anywhere else. The side lines are always clean and don't lift, and the pedicures I get are relaxing and thoughtfully done by a lovely young lady who takes her time. Tony is an artist! And he's a professional. That's why he gets upset when you don't have a clear vision, or you change your mind after all the work he puts in. Their English is perfect and they don't try to upsell you the whole time you're there. The shop is always clean, and the atmosphere is calm and casual. I love going to Bella Nails and hope the haters can find happiness somewhere else so the rest of us can enjoy the happy relaxing vibes we get at Bella Nails! Although the lady doing my nails was very kind I wouldn't go back. I got a pedicure and paid $50 for flooded and shredded cuticles. She cut my cuticles very jagged, I was even bleeding on two of my toes. It was also very messy in general, she got paint all over the surrounding skin yet she left the sides of my nails unpainted. I ended up trying to file her mistakes off when I got home. I honestly wouldn't recommend, it's waste of time and money. read more

Incredibly unprofessional staff. When requesting for additional cuticle softener in a specific area I know best helps nail techs, I was corrected with being told that they know better. After a few failed attempts and hurting me along the way, they finally used cuticle softener, then told me I should see a professional instead. I have been getting pedicures for years and have learned what works best for me and other nail techs have been successful. If they were unable to do it, they should have said that instead of blaming me. First and last time I'll ever be going here. read more

The worst. When asking to make corrections to the French tip painting, the man that works there got extremely upset and threw his nail brush at us. Extremely rude. He then got up and yelled at my friend to turn around and not speak because she was trying to explain the base color I wanted and proceeded to mock her like a 2 year child when she said Oh my goodness. There's only a few reasons why I like this place. One, its a small little place with just enough employees. To me that really matters because I hate when a place is busy and they are understaffed, especially on a Friday. Two, the nail technician asked if I wanted each individual step. Now, some people might think that is annoying.. But sometimes I just want my toes kinda touched up not scrubbed and made into new feet. Also because I am super ticklish and when they scrub, I move like I'm being electrocuted. And third an final, the lady took about 10 mins to touch up the nail polish. This shows me that they take their time at the art they do. The only reason why they didn't get that last star is because they didn't really have the selection of polish that most places have, even for the size, and the massage wasn't that great... First time to Bella Nails. I brought my daughter who is almost 4. She had her nails and toes painted while I had a pedicure. They were so sweet and gentle with her! I've been to a nail shop in the past where they are easily frustrated with little ones smudging their polish and would kind of scold her... but not here! Everyone was very kind and sweet. Cindy and Tony are very polite and accommodating to all of their customers. I love their service which includes a leg massage, hot rocks on my legs, hot oil treatment for my dry hands! I came in to get my nails done while my car was getting an oil change in the same shopping center. Came in and asked for gel manicure and regular pedicure. I showed the man doing my pedicure what I wanted for my mani and he said okay. He did a fine job on my pedi but handed me off to another man to do my nails. When I sat down at his station he told me that with gel you can't do different color tip-I told him I've had it done several times and he just kept telling me no. I asked him what he could do and he said paint one finger a different color. Come on it's time to get up with the times. Design is a must have. Not to mention the color selection was poor. I ended up not getting my nails painted and he then tried to still charge me for a normal mani! The staff at Bella Nails is rude! I'm new to San Juan Capistrano and tried them because they are close to my house. The staff claims to not understand English and tries to sell you more services. I went in today to fix a smudge on one nail and they said I'd have to wait 30 min. They seem like they don't want new business. Cost way too much for average work. Cindy did a decent job on my French gel manicure. Pedicure doesn't include dead skin removal of any sort- I was wearing sandals and the bottoms of my feet were still dirty when I left. They are overpriced, especially when you consider I had to scrub my own feet when I got home. You can find better. read more

This place doesn't want any business. I found them on Yelp and called to make an appointment for a fill, pedicure and eyebrows, 3 services plus a new client. They had 4 clients in their salon (one was walking out) and couldn't do my pedicure and nails at the same time because "they were to busy". I went to Bells Nails for the first time today. It's in a beautiful setting on Ortega Hwy. The salon is very clean and we'll appointed. The employees were friendly and efficient. My manicurist was Tiffany, the daughter of the managers. She is second generation Vietnamese so her English is perfect. Kathy was my pedicurist and Cindy did my waxing. Both were very professional and excellent at their profession. The price was very competitive. I am in a wheelchair and they were gracious about accommodating me. read more

The worst mani I ever had!!! I'm a dude, it's not that hard! But literally, I could've done a better job.

I was in a bind and my regular manicurist wasn't working on this particular day. I decided to give Bella Nails a try. That was a mistake. I should have just done my nails myself, they would have looked far better. I was not impressed with either my manicure or my pedicure. They did not pay attention to my cuticles but made sure they offered, almost insisted on, an extra long massage. They REALLY pushed the massage. After they were both done with my massage, I was asked to go sit at a station to have my finger nails painted with gel. I'm not sure why I had to get up for this as I have never had to any where else. The paint job was mediocre at best. I had polish on my skin and could see streak marks where the clear coat wasn't applied evenly or at all in some spots. Once I got home, I had a good look at my toes and that polish application was terrible, too. There was a finger nail stripe across my nail where it was clear she was trying to remove paint from my skin and took polish off my nail. I truly don't think that my standards are ridiculously high. I think anyone who went through training should be able to provide a decent manicure and apply an even coat of paint on the nail, not the skin. I will not return to Bella Nails. read more
