So thank you, Mom ;) And THANK YOU, Presh! For the past two years, not a birthday or holiday has gone by without one of us giving the other something beautiful and unique. My Presh boxes rank right up there with Tiffany's (yes, I collect boxes...I'm strange like that). My personal favorites include incredible drop earrings and cuff bracelets; even though I wear everything one piece at a time, I can't get enough ;) There are three things about this place that I love, aside from the jewelry...first of all, they have an online shop. Second, everything is made by local artists. And finally, they are UNBELIEVABLY reasonable when it comes to pricing. EVERY piece at Presh is a statement piece. I'm always a little nervous to try out a new salon but have been looking for someone based in Marin... so glad I took a chance on Salon B because it's honestly the best curly cut I've ever had! Amy and Bishlam have created such a lovely space... they're both so friendly and clearly passionate about what they do. Bishlam carefully took his time to look at my hair and to get a sense of what I wanted/didn't want and he even talked through some techniques for styling and explained what kind of products would work best for my texture. It's low maintenance (exactly what I asked for), but also super versatile: I can wear it up or down, and it fits seamlessly into my lifestyle. My appointment was on a day that the store was closed. My purses were taken at the door - I was not invited in to discuss which purses were wanted or the selling prices. I was not given an opportunity to withdraw the purses if I felt the selling prices were too low. I was never given an inventory of what they kept or the prices. Security isn't great - when I went to pickup the 3 purses that went unsold, only 2 were located - the third was apparently shoplifted. The owner was unsympathetic and unconcerned.

Just a note ....each of the San Anselmo fashion stores carry differing lines so one is guaranteed not to see the same thing in every store. That is one of the things that makes fashion shopping in San Anselmo so unique. The owner is usually present and is quite knowledgeable about fashion and will not recommend that a person buy something if it doesn't suit the person.

One side of the tag read "100% viscose and the other side read cashmere touch". I paid $200 for an item that was not actually cashmere. I tried to return it the next day but owner told me no refunds, store credit only. I feel I was tricked and want to warn others to be careful when purchasing from this store.

My daughter actually found a nearly new pair of Doc Martens that she loves. I did buy a new pair of pants, alas did not find anything else for me. The dresses range from about $85 and up. The brands ranged from all over, I noticed Missoni to Johnny Was to Free People. Service has always been friendly and helpful. When I'm in the area I always make a point to drop by, they higher the frequency, the higher the success.
