Almost bypassed this gem on my birthday weekend, and wouldn't that have been a shame! With eclectic home-oriented merchandise from France, Turkey, and Ecuador, you are bound to find something delightful in this shop. From hand painted lead-free ceramic Turkish mugs, to alpaca woven Ecuadorian blankets. The blanket was roughly $125- was seduced by its magical colors and failed to evaluate the price. Did purchase one and LOVE it! It's soooo warm and beautiful. There is also a selection of international foods. Couldn't resist the raspberry French pastels. Yum. The store has French oil table cloths and colorful fabric table cloths. Pillows with fun designs and a number of other unique gift options. The clerk who assisted me was knowledgeable about the products, although not particularly friendly. Great place to find gifts for yourself or family.

Absolutely charming family owned business in downtown Larkspur! Stumble on over across the street after a fantastic French happy hour at the Left Bank for some gorgeous Parisian goodies. You'll find a treasure trove of unique items straight from France - housewares, gorgeous scarves, leather bags, candles, French antiques and more! My go to for gifts of any occasion- free beautiful gift wrap as well! A must for the holiday season! Support our local businesses!

I've bought some well-crafted card catalogues, a very unique and gorgeous stained glass front door and another stained glass window from him and he's always treated me so well. An absolute must stop on your Marin antique-hunting travels. One caveat. . . You might want to call before heading over because he's not always open.

If it wasn't for a man sitting on a mission style rocking chair with other folksy furniture outside- we may have just passed this one by. The proprietor (Mr. Farey) was friendly and cordially answered my questions regarding history of the quaint local store. Having lived in the area all his life- he acquainted us about the other stores to visit and suggested places regarding our specific interests. If you're into stained glass window art- there were a lot to choose from starting with simple acorn styles to fine mosaic style and Tiffany rose window style. There were simple art deco lamps, tables, chairs mostly wood, and old mirrors ( I love OLD mirrors). PS- I would definitely put this store in one of the must visits when you go antiquing in this area! Very pleasant and accommodating!

Susan Hoy is the sole proprietor here, and she's been running the business for around thirty years. She's also an author, having written a series of "fictional diary" books featuring Steiff Teddy Bears, who go to Africa, the Chelsea Flower Show, Paris, and the Nile, which she displays and carries in the shop and online. We have come in at times and not been greeted by Susan, but on our recent visit she came out from behind the counter to share her story with us, showing us her favorite things with pride and we made a human connection. Our verdict is that is a passion project run by a true original, and some might say eccentric. Susan creates replicas of actual antique greeting cards that she sells, and offers a remarkable collection of vintage mercury holiday ornaments. All the things that Susan loves fill this unusual shop. She's also managed to set up a blog & webstore for her shop to sell her treasures, which is almost as quirky as her bricks and mortar shop.
