I have not visited Bella-Sana Med Spa ... I wanted a medi - pedi and it's been taking me a long time to get in. There is no flexibility with schedule because the receptionist said there's only one person who does these pedicures and they are not there every day. **** update***** Now I've had a real microneedling session where she needed to numb my face beforehand. What is done at this spa is only surface. I didn't have anything to compare to until I had a real microneedling session. I'm glad they didn't take the second Groupon because everything here was a waste of money. I decide to give the office another chance because the doctor called and seemed genuinely concerned about my experience and the fact that i told his wife I was going to open a dispute for a refund. Please keep in mind I was asking for a refund on a service they never performed. I was not trying to get something for free. I finally get in for my appointment 12/28 and they're running late. I was scheduled for the hydrafacial that I prepaid for and microneedling with a Groupon that I purchased. The Groupon can be repurchased every 30 Days. Everyone agreed that it said so on the Groupon. Before my procedure the doctor tells me I need to sign a form saying that I will never dispute a charge with him again. Then he asks me to continue with the dispute but pay him cash. I told him absolutely not because that is dishonest but I would be happy to call my card immediately after and tell him the service was done so the dispute would be closed. I was required to sign the paper before I went in. Why not just tell me this BEFORE I'm sitting in your office? So I have the hydra facial and we are getting to the microneedling. Poor Michelle has to come in and tell me that the doctor decided that he is not going to honor my Groupon after all, BUT, he will honor the price. She is the tech and he sticks her in the middle. He asks me to tell Groupon that I want a refund and then pay him direct because Groupon takes too much money from him. Keep in mind I have already paid Groupon $220 and now he wants another $220 for another prepaid service. Nope, not doing this again. I declined the service and cancelled the Groupon when I got home. This office really needs to get it together. The office is poorly run, unprofessional, pushy, and these people are dishonest! This is not the way a normal business is run. Get your cheap microneedling and then never go back. First visit I was worried because I showed up and no one was there like a previous review. Michelle showed up and had a valid reason and she was nice and although I was skeptical, the treatment was fine. They really try to push products on you and that's super annoying. The second visit in October was fine but I was told by the doctor that my whole skincare routine is wrong, and my chemical peels and microdermabrasion routine is outdated, and I need to do a hydrafacial with his office. My skin is really clear and I get a lot of compliments, but whatever, I'll try it. I was asked to prepay that day to get the special pricing so I did. I had an appointment for 11/18. On 11/18 they called to say they ran out of tips for the machine and I had to reschedule. Really? You don't know what supplies you have for your equipment and cancel people because you don't preplan and order enough? This is especially annoying because I am a busy mom and I can only go on Saturday. Plus, I had already waited weeks for my appointment. I was polite and tried to rearrange my schedule and we booked for 12/02. A week prior to the appointment I realized that I could not make it due to a commitment with my kids and I scheduled for 12/16. Today (10 Days early!) I realized that I cannot make it on the 16th either and I called to reschedule but now I cant get it until middle of January. I asked for a refund for services not rendered because this is really inconvenient for me and the owners wife told me "NO". Really? How unprofessional. She says it's my fault that I cant make it in and they're giving me options. I was the one trying to accommodate THEM. I bought the facial in October and booked for November when I knew I was available. December is a crazy time of year with the holidays I am not available in January on the date available fdue to a vacation. So I request a refund and they tell me no? What are they out if they refund me? Absolutely nothing because I never received the service!!! Super unethical, product pushers. I had to open a dispute with my credit card and am trying to get a refund that way. Very disappointing to be treated like this. read more

just had a hydra facial this is the second one, the first one I didn't think it helped but after a couple of days my skin really improved. I decided to do it again it is so relaxing and the the results are great. The lady that does the hydra facials really takes her time on you and makes you feel comfortable, the price is also great. I think I will make this a every two month thing, treat yourself it is really worth it!! read more

The med spa offers a robust suite of services. Staff is efficient and polite. I received laser spider vein treatments after consulting with Dr. Alex Y. Who is lovely. My technician, Kata, was accommodating and gentle. This is not a modern, serene spa environment and located within a dated hospital Medical building and perhaps this is why they are more competitive on pricing (less overhead). It's clean and organized. I didn't mind it being dated but if you're the MIchigan Avenue crowd, you probably won't be able to let it go and just enjoy your services. I would go back to check out the 3D body sculpting /fat removal service. read more

I initially bought a Groupon for laser vein treatment of my legs at this salon. I was informed that I would need to buy a package in order to treat different areas. After seven weeks, there is absolutely NO difference to the appearance of my spider veins. I did contact them and there was no response. Do not waste your time or money. read more

This is a horrible business with unethical practices. They were closed when I showed up to my appointment, I waited outside for an hour and called the business with no response. I have called them several times since and they never returned calls. Finally got through today and the person on the phone was very rude and basically called me a liar. They also use dated laser machines which do not work. Do not go here. read more

OMG ! I've done so many skin cares before in different salons, but this time I ve got the worst experience. I ve got a microdermabrasion with Nancy. When I called to make an appointment Margarita( Reception lady) said the treatment will take about 50 mins + 10-15 mins to fill out some paperwork. I went inside a treatment room at 5pm, and Nancy did a micro for 17 mins. What a hack is this salon offering to customers? Nancy is a nice lady, but does her job awful :( She didn't even use a stream to my skin and started microdermabrasion on my dry skin which was painful. She barely touched my skin and applied a cream which was peeling on my skin n was terrible. It does not worth ur time ladies!! read more

I'm giving two stars because the staff was friendly and appointments easily to schedule, the rest for me was disappointing. I did a lot of research looking for spas with good reviews. Finally found this one, people had a lot of nice things to say about the aestheticians on their webpage. It turns out, those aestheticians are no longer there (but they have kept them up on their website), to me this was very misleading. The office itself is nothing close to a spa. It is located on a dated medical building. The floor on which they are located does not have a bathroom, you have to go go another floor...! The room where the microdermabrasion was done was super small, with bright fluorescent building lights wich made it impossible to relax. They didn't even have one of those magnifying mirrors for the aesthetician to look at your skin and make educated recommendation. The whole procedure was done like in 20 minutes, I understand it should have been about 45 min. All she kept doing was asking me to like their FB and IG pages and recommend my friends to go there. I came here for my first time for a chemical peel and upon a recommendation from my esthetician, I added a microdermabrasion to it immediately following the peel. Nancy was my esthetician and she was so wonderful. She was very understanding that I was on a budget and did not try to push any in-house overpriced products on me, as other spas have usually done. Instead, she recommended how to take care of my skin going forward using the best products that a drug store can offer. This was a pretty big deal to me as she made she became more relatable and made me feel more comfortable with her. I usually never stick to one specific spa, I only go with whatever is cheapest on Groupon. However, I will definitely be coming back just because of Nancy! Not to mention, it has been about 2-3 weeks since the visit, and my skin looks better than ever! I believe that adding the microdermabrasion to the chemical peel was such a great choice, and my skin wouldn't have looked this good without it. Thank you Nancy! read more

I went here for spider vein laser treatment and it was pretty good. I think it was important to be told that the bruising would be pretty bad and take weeks to heal so with multiple treatments, you need to know to plan for this. Michelle the tech was very nice. However, my biggest complaint was in adding in IPL treatment for some brown spots. There was absolutely no result at all as if it never happened. I've had IPL before on other areas with great success where the spots darken and then break up and slough off. On my second spider vein treatment I told them this and they zapped the spots again, yet absolutely nothing happened. I was very disappointed and asked for a refund on that treatment. The doctor there is so arrogant and stubborn, for that reason I would NOT recommend going there. I understand that there is no guarantee on some things even though I've had great success with IPL in the past, but to pay out money for a treatment that gave no results and the doctor to be so blunt and stubborn in how he treated me was even more disappointing. I would think he would have explained something he can offer to try or apply that money spent toward something else, but instead he got very arrogant and started questioning if I worked and if I expected to get paid when I work and that he would "absolutely not give anyone a refund for services they performed", was really poor customer service. I'm not even as upset that the treatment didn't work at all, but more so in the doctor's attitude. There are SO many other med spas out there who would love your business, I wouldn't give your money to a doctor who is so stubborn. read more
