Must have gotten slammed earlier today didn't have plates for our pizza - used the bread plates. Pizza was okay will be better tomorrow when we reheat the leftovers. We have tried Bella Sera three different times. The service has been ok but nothing like what you would think on par with the physical atmosphere of the restaurant would reflect. Tonight my son's shrimp alfredo only had 4 shrimp (and not large shrimp at that!) and if it hadn't been for me asking for extra alfredo sauce (which cost $5) for my tortellini he probably would not have had enough to taste. As I mentioned, I have ordered the tortellini several times and well I'm not saying I want soup I would like to have enough sauce to cover all the pasta and mushrooms (which cost $4 more for less than a quarter cup of mushrooms). Now for the service... I love going to a restaurant and having someone with an accent take my order but when the server can't be understood, that's a problem! Oh! And don't try asking for a different soup with your meal... that's impossible! Then you get the ticket.... And let's just say, for the two people to eat not so great or fancy Italian food and pay over $60 (no drinks just water, no appetizer and no desert) before tip is truly offensive! read more

Nice new restaurant. This is actually the original building that has been remodeled. It just took several years for them to finish. The inside is beautiful. If you want to come for supper, I suggest you get there early, it fills up fast. Our waiter was very nice and helpful. All the food we got including the bread was fresh out of the oven and hot. For my entree I got the chicken dambabianca. Very good, strong taste of mushrooms, so if you don't like mushrooms, this won't be good. My wife got chicken arrabbiatta. She did get it without mushrooms, it also had some spice to it, I thought it was complementary to the sauce. I ordered the chicken dambabianca which had a very strong mushroom flavor, it was quite tasty. For dessert we each got a different pastry. I got the tiramisu. Was very light on flavor, borderline flavorless. My wife ordered a cannoli. I've never had one before, so I don't know if it was good or not. The texture of the cream in the middle was a little weird, and my wife said that it was not good, she has had way better. Overall, I thought the meal was good. It wasn't great, but it was good. Everybody was friendly and the meal was super hot which helped. I will have to come back and give them another shot and order a different dish. Stay tuned. read more

The food was excellent and no matter what location, we always find the food exceptional. Love the new location in Marble Falls. Beautiful building. The only down side was that it was very difficult to understand our waiter and after the food was served we didn't see him again. Another waiter stopped by to see if we were okay, but then at the end of the meal, we waited a very long time to get our bill. It was the end of a long day, so a bit annoying. But the food is fabulous, so I would go back. Maybe just a fluke and given that we always have good service there, I would let it pass. read more

Bella Sera used to be one of my favorite spots affordable, welcoming, and consistently good while they were in the strip mall during their remodel. After visiting the new "grand opening," I'm beyond disappointed. Prices have jumped dramatically, portions have gotten smaller, and it feels like they've forgotten the very local community that supported them through the remodel. One visit was enough for me, overpriced food and smaller portions don't make for a warm welcome. It's a shame to see a hometown favorite turn into something unrecognizable. A little research into your local demographic would go a long way toward keeping your loyal customers while attracting new ones. Catering only to tourists or the wealthy class isn't a smart long-term move. Now I would like to add the new location is huge and beautiful. I imagine they believe the customer count will be off the charts with the amount of seating they now have. I wish them the best as I will not be returning at current prices. read more

Truely disappointed. We ordered the Chicken Alfredo for the second time since they moved locations in Marble Falls. Both times were not good. It will be my last visit. The Alfredo sauce was awful. They should have just poured the heavy cream on the pasta. It tasted like they mix heavy cream and flour and poured it in top. I use to go here with my mom and kids and always enjoyed the food before. I guess it's time to try the new place in town. I refuse to pay $55 for two meals that are not edible again. read more

Now for the first experience; this was a burger joint before so it had to be renovated so regarding that some observations: Dining area seems large and chaotic it was loud despite not at capacity you can hear all the conversation and silverware grinding Decoration is par for the course but can be made much more warm or Italian (maybe it's a work in progress) this is pre- grand inauguration (I think) so no liquor license until one month (is what they told me). After getting seated for dinner, told that coffee was not available for dinner (coffee mind you), and presented with a statement of what they were out of- AND - being left unattended for 15 minutes to follow up on our order- it was clear our business wasn't wanted. Service was very slow to start with. The calamari was terrible my tennis shoe would be better. The pasta looked like it was thrown on the plate and I had to ask if I had the correct plate. We really hoped that this place would be good after all the remodel expense they went to. It seems like they should have spent the money on training and cooking classes instead of remodel! Newly opened but going to need to get a handle on their dishes quickly or it might be a tough go. The rolls are great, salad was good. I would NOT recommend the calamari. It was super chewy and tasted fake - like it was from a grocery store freezer bag. Not good at all. Calzone wasn't that good either. Sausage and cheese and the ricotta cheese was blobby or chunky. Wife's dish was good but not great. It was some sort of chicken pasta dish. I'm willing to give it another shot but the wife is not so we'll see...may or may not be back. The atmosphere is OK - too open, not super cozy. Bar stools and bar are lack synergy - either the bar is too high or the stools are too low. Needs to feel "warmer" inside and less commercial. read more

I'd question the $$ on here. The prices are high now at the new (old) location. The facility is beautiful. So I guess we're paying for the remodeling. Server was good, other staff were friendly. Got spaghetti and meat balls. Hubby got the Stromboli. Food was good. No salad just the hot food. Always got salads at the old location. Ah, Bella Sera! Our first time to visit this restaurant in their temporary location in Marble Falls. We were surprised at how spacious the restaurant is in this strip mall. You would not think it was so spacious (pictures included). We found the food very tasty. We had lasagna (wife) and egg plant parmigiana (me). My plate was piping hot and great. The lasagna required some searching to find some meat (a bit disappointing). We did order Alla Pana sauce extra which gave our meal that extra zest. My husband and I come nearly every week and I know exactly what I'm getting each time. The host is quick to seat you and bring out delicious hot bread for the appetizer. The waiter/waitress is polite and able to make recommendations by pairing the wine with the food. This time for dinner I ordered the Pasta Combo(my favorite) and my husband ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo (his favorite). We always get our side salads and I really have no idea why these salads have the best crunch and flavor but dang it's good! I enjoy coming to hash out our weekend plans in an atmosphere that is not too quiet or noisy; just pleasant background voices or other guests and Italian style music playing in the background. It's always been a wonderful experience to visit here weekly. read more

I guess we're tourists - passing through on our way home to San Antonio and I wanted to try a place that wasn't 3-star seafood, which is what I think MF has plenty of. Reviews on Bella Sera by others were pretty good and this place was one of the few that happens to be open on Sundays. Food was fantastic! The garlic rolls are unbelievably delicious, especially with the garlic olive oil dipping sauce that another reviewer recommended (you have to ask for it). I got the Shrimp FraDiablo and it was spicy goodness that your tastebuds will thank you for. Shrimp was cooked perfectly and the pasta had a great bite. Came with a nice side salad & your choice of dressing. It was overdressed, so I suggest asking for your dressing on the side, if you don't like that. Paired with a glass of white wine and it was a great meal! Our server definitely follows a slower pace of life, but he wasn't terrible. I just don't like having to ask for things I think should be automatically offered (straws, to-go boxes and a bag to put them in when there are several, more water, etc.) and then watch them drag their feet to bring everything. Prices are expensive, but the atmosphere and quality of food makes it all worthwhile. Bella Sera is a great place to dine as a family. Their bread is served at your table, hot and fresh from the oven. Their salad is fresh and their chicken soup is comforting for the soul. They have the most wonderful stuffed pasta dishes. Great service. The Nick's Salad was excellent. Delicious breadsticks, but no dipping oil. My wife's chicken parmigiana was very good. My son and I ordered dishes with garlic. I specified extra garlic on mine, something I always do wherever I dine. They added plenty of garlic, but it was raw. Raw garlic? You would think an Italian kitchen would know not to serve crunchy, bitter, raw garlic. It must be cooked or marinated in lemon juice to be palatable. We will return, but I will specify sautéed garlic. read more

we have been there a couple of times. Our servers, Miguel and Roberto, were awesome! The food was a bit pasty and bland. So disappointing after Mickey's, Francesco's. I ordered shrimp scampi. My wife ordered eggplant where is that Cheryl says to a place in Austin OK Parmesan. It was overcooked and mushy. The pasta was cooked to a good al dente. But the sauce on the scampi was lacking in flavor. I squeezed extra lemon on it and that helped but just not up to far. I so want to patronize because of these two great servers. We have been driving from Lago Vista to Marble Falls to go to this restaurant for quite a few years and this is the first time it has been anything less than a very good experience. The soup, salad, lasagna and veal siciliani were all very good, although there were only 3 small pieces of veal in the veal dish. A bit disappointing. We also ordered calamari. The first order that was brought out was so overcooked that the squid was like pieces of rubber. I wear dentures and it was impossible to chew. We sent it back and the second order was only marginally better. We all love calamari and have eaten it many times. This just wasn't good at all. We arrived mid-afternoon and the restaurant was very quiet, but our service was only poor to fair. All in all, today's experience was disappointing. read more

I'm from a big city, where we have tons of brag-worthy food options... but I'm honestly a tough critic when it comes to good Italian food. What a pleasant surprise to find this gem in a quaint little town! The service was okay - a little slow, but in their defense we were a big group (wedding rehearsal dinner). The salad was plain, nothing special, but at least we saved some room for the meal... The hard part is resisting the complimentary garlic knots! Hot out of the oven, fresh, and full of wonderful garlic-herb flavor! Couldn't stop eating them, haha... The house wine wasn't bad, especially for $5.50 a glass. The emphasis I'll make are the entrees, which were overall pretty outstanding. They have a huge menu & great variety. They offer everything from pizza to classic spaghetti & meatballs to rib eye, and other specialty pasta dishes. I ordered the Frutti de Mare (seafood linguini in clam sauce) and inhaled it! I sampled some of my friends' dishes, and they were delicious too. The dessert choices were pretty basic (tiramisu or cheesecake), but it was a nice finish to a hearty dinner. If I ever make it back out to Marble Falls, I'll be certain to stop in again for a yummy meal. read more

We came here as a large group for a late lunch. The store looks small but they have a huge hall at the back that can seat a ton of people so it's great for groups. I'm not going to go launch into a long review here other than to say it was a good experience dining here.
