Ok, here's one thing about me…read more I KNOW weddings. I've been a bridesmaid 7 times. I've caught 11 bouquets. I have Macarena-ed and Cha-Cha Slided in ballgowns more times than I care to admit. So I've visited several bridal boutiques in town. Today, however, was the first time I was looking for MY wedding dress. I already knew that Reni's is pretty much "the" place to get the dress. My best friend purchased her dress here six years ago, and I remembered being impressed by the owner's personal attention and knowledge of her stock (over 900 dresses, I was told). Back to my visit. You absolutely have to have an appointment here. The store is small. There are three dressing rooms, but I think there is really only enough room for two brides to try on dresses at a time. For this level of service, you need to play by the rules. The store is locked, and you must be buzzed in by the staff. I have no problem with this, because there simply isn't room for people who are "just browsing." All of the dresses are kept in a back room, and they bring them out to you. Everyone was wonderful. Reni herself is a constant presence, and she is just fabulous-- as long as you want an honest opinion. She knows her stuff. I sat down with a catalogue and pointed out a few things I liked, and then she started bringing out the dresses. As many as I wanted to try on. I'm certain they would have let me stay there all day, but fortunately I found the perfect dress after trying on about 7 dresses. I have purchased the dress, and I will update this review in a few months when it arrives and I have the alterations made. So far, though, I could not have asked for a better dress shopping experience.

The people there probably do great work with clothing but this outcome was a bit ridiculous. All 3 of these Christmas stocking were done by the same lady. I took the correct one, the gingerbread one, in a few months ago while I finished the other 2. When I brought the other 2 in she said she remembered the gingerbread one because this process is so time consuming and intricate. I said I'd like her to do the same with the newest 2-the stocking shape with a hanger. I told her this twice. And she agreed that she remembered the first she did. When I came to pick them up they were sewn in a rectangular shape, like a placemat. I pointed out the shape and told her that I wanted a Christmas stocking. She said "you never told me that. You have to say that when you bring them in". I agreed to come back, an HOUR's drive from where I live, to get them. I get back and it's a half baked job. They don't even open, they're sewn shut. I'm pretty disappointed for driving so long thinking the Wichita area would have someone good. Could I have left it to have it redone a third time? Sure, but these take about 2-3 months to stitch and would cost a buyer about $350-$500 if I sold them. I didn't want to risk it and will need to find someone that knows what a Christmas stocking needs to look like. The first one turned out great, and I'm baffled as to why the others didn't unless she just didn't really want to do them and should have said so.

When they were outside they played basketball, yard games, got to swing, sit under a beautiful canopy, and just enjoy the beautiful night air. The owner was such a joy to work with. She was such a great communicator from start to finish! She also was so very helpful! She helped us from the time we were interested in booking the venue until the time we left the venue. She helped us setup and clean up. She went over and beyond. We truly appreciated her help. Without her help we would have been there until like 1am cleaning up lol she allowed us to use her fridge and freezer! We were so grateful!
