Alex absolutely slayed my hair! When I came in my color was botched from another stylist, and I hadn't had it touched since. He gave my hair new life and was able to beautifully blend my natural hair color with the color I had previously. I finally tried Bella Vida for the first time and it was every bit of amazing all the other reviewers are saying! I was referred by a friend. You know how sometimes people will talk up a movie or a song or a restaurant and then when you finally hear or see it and you're like it was good BUT.....well not here. No disappointment and was everything my friend described and more! You will not leave here disappointed. Alex cut my hair today and what I loved was that he showed me what 2", 3" and 6" was to him before he cut my hair as I was trying to decide how much to cut off. Eddie and/or Alex, have been my hair stylist at Bella Vida Salon for over a year now. This place is awesome and quite accommodating to my crazy schedule and I thank them for it! They do my cut and color and I am thrilled at how particular they are to match my hair to my natural color. They also give me great ideas on how to style my long brown hair at home, or for work, with quick tips that only take me 5 minutes to do! The whole salon is full of energy! Everyone likes working there; You can tell because of their interaction and helpfulness with each other. The owner, Jai, is enthusiastic and enjoys making sure the customer is taken care of. They are an Aveda Salon. I had forgotten how wonderful their natural hair care products smell. Late review, but I showed my stylist what I was looking to get done to my hair and was told it was a balayage . (Me not knowing anything about hair trusted what he said). I was aware my hair wouldn't be done in one session so once completed I figured I'd have to wait till the next session to be comfortable with how my hair looked. My friend referred me to go get it toned by another stylist and when I did the new stylist was confused as to why my hair looked the way it did . He told me all I needed to do to my hair was put a whole color throughout w light highlights, a balayage was not needed . He had to fix everything the other stylist had done and re bleach my hair to get my hair an even tone . Very disappointed that I had to pay $220 plus tip for a balayage that was not needed. Not looking to get refund just wanted to leave a review for anyone who isn't knowledgeable in hair and is looking to get their hair done in this establishment. My sister (who told me about Bella Vida) also got her hair done with this same stylist and she didn't see how messed up her hair was until my new stylist saw her hair and is now fixing everything this stylist did to her hair. Also didn't call the salon back to complain because I didn't want to return to a stylist that didn't know how to dye my hair the way I wanted it done. Luckily I found an amazing stylist who was able to fix my hair after spending 3 hours fixing what the previous stylist did. read more

You will not regret going to this salon! Every time I make an appointment everyone is so friendly and truly know what they're doing. I can show Alex a picture of what I want and he will explain in depth my options, which way is best to achieve the look I want and will only do what's safest for my hair. My mother found this salon. Myself, mother and grandmother just relocated to the area. It has now been over a year since our first visit. My 88 year old grandmother can be difficult to work on but their stylist Eddie has won her over. My mother was absolutely impressed with how he transformed her hair into healthy, vibrant and beautiful thick curly hair. As for me the grandson every stylist that has colored my hair has done an excellent job. So they not only handle the elderly very well, they can actually do massive color corrections on damaged hair like they did with my mother. The Aveda hair color is worth the cost. They formulate it specifically for your hair and it lasts. The salon is run very professionally and kept very clean. Oh...My...God! I have a coworker who is a devote and loyal customer of Bella Vida. Anytime she gets her hair done it's noticeably amazing. Aside from the great hair services she also brags about how well they treat her. I finally decided I needed to get in on this so on a Monday I requested an appointment through their Yelp page. On Tuesday morning I got a call to finalize the details of my appointment and service I wanted. When I showed up for my appointment I was greeted and offered something to drink (wine,coffee, water, or tea) Ugh! Amazing right?! Shortly after I was seated in my chair I was also give a nice shoulder/neck rub with my choice of an essential oil. Just keep reading because it keeps getting better. When I moved over the hair washing station I then got a hand/forearm massage with some more oil. I had fairly long hair and came here for a trim. Over the past decade, I always start every single haircut I have by telling the stylist to cut as little as possible because I wanted to keep my hair long. This appointment was no different. I had a level 1 stylist, which was no issue since I go to beauty schools a lot and always receive great trims. This stylist ended up cutting at least 12 inches off 1/4 of my hair. By the time I asked her to stop and face me to the mirror, it was clearly too late. No time during our consultation did she say she was planning on cutting 1/4 of my hair this short or giving me an entirely different haircut than what I already had. She never apologized or even said a single word to me afterwards. I will say, a male stylist came over to try and fix the situation. He was so nice, apologetic, and did his very best. He offered to give me free haircuts in the future to help blend the chopped off hair. I won't be returning, but it was a nice gesture. While this was clearly a learning experience for this specific stylist, I will have to wait years to get my hair back to normal. read more

I went in for a cut 2 weeks ago with Alex. At that time he told me that he would address any concerns I had when I returned for color. Well, today when I returned I told him that I was not crazy about the round shape and asked him if he could angle it back so it wasn't so round (picture the little Dutch boy). He got so angry he started cutting the TOP of my hair, cutting off all the sides, leaving me with, basically bangs. He asked me if I wanted more cut to "blend" it. All I wanted was the end shaped differently but he never even touched it!! He was yelling at me saying I should have brought a picture in. A truly horrible experience!!! I left in tears with hair that looks hideous. I wouldn't recommend Bella Vida, Alex, to my worst enemy. I will be filing a complaint with Aveda. read more

I was in a mental space where I needed a huge change and my friend had recommended Alex if I was looking for a new stylist. I'm SO glad she did. I made an appointment to chop my shoulder length hair down to a pixie. In retrospect, trusting someone I'd never met to cut my hair like that was not how I usually would have gone about it but I think there was something about the salon and everyone in it plus something about Alex that made me feel immediately at ease and made it easy to trust him. He cares so much about making sure his clients are happy with his work and listens carefully plus never makes us feel guilty for asking for what we'd like (even if it's a few days later and something hasn't quite settled right), but always keeps it real if he thinks something different might look better. His cuts and color are wonderful and fresh. So glad to have found this lovely salon! I've sent my mom and friends here since and they've also had a wonderful experience. Horrible. Filing formal complaint with Aveda. I came in for low lights got a total color change. While the color was going in I said this looks like a color change not low lights and the stylist yelled at me saying he knew what's best. After color I was unhappy and he told me to shampoo a lot so the color comes out. I traveled for work a total of 3.5 weeks shampooing away and still awful color. Called for a fix because that's what he said to do if I wasn't happy and they said it was past 2 weeks so no I'd have to pay full charge. DO NOT GO HERE. Never did a refund, I hate my hair and am filing a formal complaint with Aveda. Awful people who bully you and don't stand by their crap work. I've gone to Aveda salons my entire adult life and never experienced anything like this. read more

I am so glad that I was recommended to come to this salon by an active client. My hairstylist to whom I was very loyal, moved and I was left to find other stylists. However, I did not have much success as I am very particular. When my friend, whose hair always looked amazing, told me to come to Bella Vida, I was a bit skeptical as it was a bit of a drive for me. I must say I am extremely picky when it comes to my haircut. I just went away with my extensions about a year ago and went to a pixie cut. I am a unique person so that was not going to cut it. I wanted a side shave, with nice fading which is hard to find. Well I have found Eddie. He takes his time, gives his input, listens to what you want or are going for.
