I just wanted to let you guys know that Courtney chopped off all my hair without my consent back in 2022 and then had the audacity to tell me my reaction wasn't OK when all I did was cry and Express how I never consented to that, i'm positive my ex friend paid her off or told her to cut it that short regardless as a professional why would you do that? It's still doesn't sit right with me till this day. Her excuse was "I thought we were cutting from the shortest layer" after I asked her for a layered haircut, That's really big to get mixed up and I don't want happening to anyone else. Book with her at ur own risk, I will say she's a great colorist, but horrible with communication, attitude, and cutting hair. After some deep diving, it turns out a lot of the hairstylist have cut hair way too short without people's consent. I really don't recommend coming here if you value the length of your hair and value, your voice being heard.

Plus, wanted something that's a closer drive to my home/work. My appointment on Tuesday was with Ashleigh, @locksandlore, and she was the absolute sweetest. Even though she's a curly specialist, I wanted someone who truly understands my hair as I make this big shift. I also saw Danielle, @fairiehairie, for the wash and style after the cut and she was lovely. Everyone there was so professional and friendly! I would absolutely go back to her for styling again. Unfortunately, the overall experience in the salon was overshadowed by something pretty unpleasant. There was a small dog in the salon that had apparently peed on the couch in the waiting area earlier in the day. No one mentioned this when I arrived, and I ended up sitting on that couch for about 30 minutes. When I later brought it up, the dog's owner mentioned that her husband had cleaned the spot with Lysol earlier in the day. However, my pants still smelled like pee afterward, which was really uncomfortable and embarrassing. The apology also felt pretty insincere, which made the situation even more frustrating. I completely understand that accidents can happen with pets, but I do think it's the owner's responsibility to make sure guests are aware of something like that -- or to make sure the area is fully cleaned or blocked off before someone sits there. It would have been very easy to simply warn me. Lena was fantastic and did a beautiful job with my blowout! I do hope the salon handles situations with the dog more responsibly in the future.
