We talked and I gave her a few ideas of what I wanted. She listened and proceeded to cut my hair. Her skills were good and I am content with the result. However, I feel the need to mention the environment of the salon. There was a person (not sure if employee or patron) talking about taking her daughter to a concert a few years back and apparently there was a confrontation. She then proceeded to continue the conversation with my stylist, describing her summer wardrobe and plans on going to another concert. There was no problem with the cut, but feel there should have been a more professional environment and a little more focus from my stylist. Probably won't be returning.

She's an expert in her area and the only hair stylist I have ever felt comfortable just sitting in the chair and letting do what she thinks would look good. Whenever I have a cut from her my hair falls easily, in the right ways, and continues to for even three months after a haircut. Two other good friends of mine go to her and have the same experience--though they have very different hairstyles. She's a master at figuring out what looks good on a person and how to do what they want done. To add icing to the proverbial cake, Esther is very personable and friendly and works hard to give you the best service. Regarding the salon itself--it is very cute and classy, and has a very personable feel. It's beautifully done inside. The only thing I might change would be to make the salon easier to find by a more prominent or brighter sign--it's a grey kind of sign with just "C" on it, if I remember correctly. But! Once you find it and have your first haircut you won't stop coming back. Unless you move, and then you're at a loss to find someone comparable, like me.

I have yet to find anyone that cuts hair better than she does. She is artistic, funky, professional, detail-oriented and open-minded. She works with her customers to ensure that they get exactly what they want. The salon itself is absolutely amazing. It is brand new and just opened up. Carlie designed it herself and the thought that went into it is evident in everything there. There are blow dryers at each station that hang down from the ceiling like a pneumatic hose at an oil change place. She did a fantastic job and I really appreciated her attention to the little details like making sure all of the wax was probably removed and the skin had oil applied also after the wax was done to help all the wax to come off and also help the skin heal from the waxing that was done. Many places seems like they have young, uneducated people, far from being nail technicians, taking care of some customers. On a trip to Walla Walla I walked by this little place, peeked inside and got a good vibe right away. It looked clean, professional and up to date. They do not take walk ins but to my luck someone just called and cancelled their appointment as I walked in. I had my nails done by Cherish who also is the owner. Super sweet and very skilled. I saw two other ladies getting a pedicure while I was there and when I'm in town next time I'm booking that for sure! Congrats to Walla Walla residents who has such a great place for manicures and pedicures.

I gave Emily Hendricks free reign to cut and color how she saw fit and only requested that it stay a little below my shoulders. I came out with a rocking haircut and great color and I couldn't have been happier! I am still really happy with it! Emily is very friendly and fast and I loved having her cut and color my hair.
