Bella You took my deposit for a bridesmaids dress and FAILED to provide one. They held us financially responsible for the company sending the wrong color dress. With 46 days left before my wedding they refused to order the correct color- telling us we could only use OUR money to buy a dress they had on the rack- none in the right size. Margaret was extremely rude for no reason and I would never suggest you spend your money here. They have made my wedding dress shopping experience and NIGHTMARE! *EDIT- I "purchased" a veil with my credit because I never wanted to step foot back into that store after being treated like trash. read more

I've been to ten different dress stores looking for a prom dress, this was the first store to have dress teenagers from 2023 would wear rather then teens from 2010 at a reasonable price. I got a full hall gown for 420$. The workers were all so friendly and very helpful. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a prom dress! read more

Stopped in Bella You today to simply browse through the mother of the groom dresses. I didn't intend to try on dresses. I was just interested in looking at the selection. The older woman at the desk barked out that she would be with me in a minute. From the first moment she was annoyed that I was in her presence and proceeded to roll her eyes at me and asked if I had an appointment. I told her that I did not have an appointment. I simply wanted to look at the dresses and was not planning on trying on anything. She told me that she was very busy and couldn't help me because I didn't have an appointment. Told her I didn't need help. She agreed to let me take a look at the dresses on my own. My sister saw her roll her eyes again as I walked to the back of the store. I have never encountered such an unhappy disgruntled sales person. Her rudeness was astounding. We left the store without acknowledgment or thank you for stopping. I would never recommend Bella You to anyone and I will make sure my experience is well known. It's too bad because there are 16 bridesmaids still looking for dresses plus my dress. I went here for a bridal appointment. Scheduling over the phone was quite the process as the woman couldn't figure out whether or not they were even open and kept talking over me. She also said hours were 12-4 and asked when I'd want my appointment. When I suggested 12, she barked "Well we don't take appointments right at 12 because we need time to set up." which isn't stated anywhere, and she said it like I was supposed to magically know this. Once there, a consultant picked a few dresses and said "We'll start with these." and never came back to check on me. Eventually, the owner came around, told me the other woman was busy when I asked why she never came back and then told me there was nothing else for me in a rude manner. Obviously they're not all on the same page there. I thought booking an appointment would guarantee a consultant would stay around and not leave me for the rest of the time, but just know that's how they do things here. I will never go back and will never recommend this business to anyone. read more

Long story but it was several years ago when they were in the other location. We bought a gown for my daughters prom, paid for it, left it there to come back for a fitting, and she sold it to someone else. She claimed it was damaged and sent it back, but when I called the design house and they looked it up, she did not (she sold it) The design house had to find me another dress (the exact one) found it at another shop and shipped to Bella You. I bought my wedding dress here, which was actually a bridesmaid dress. I found the dress online and Bella You was the only retailer in Rochester to have it; Dessy Group was the designer. They had several for me to try on, I got measured, and I was done with my appointment in 20 minutes. The dress cost $350, which pleased me since it was substantially cheaper than a "normal" wedding dress, but as a bridesmaid, I would not be happy with that price tag. My dress arrived in under a month. Their seamstress has very limited hours in the store, so I ended up going to her house in Spencerport for alterations. She was very sweet, did a great job, and charged a reasonable rate. read more

Horrible and rude. Went in 1 1/2 hr before closing to shop for sr ball dress. Found two dress. One with alterations bc it was to large. Other needed multiple repairs bc beads and sequins were missing and torn. At 7:40 owner walks over and says we are closing in 9 minutes, she's hungry and needs to go home.Who says 9 minutes? We spoke with a seamstress to verify repairs can be done. Owner says take dress off so she could cash us out and we can discuss bead repairs with seamstress on our own. At register she says total with a 15% discount. I said "15 is all you can do? That's the best you can give us?"She said she can't do anything else. And really doesn't need or want to sell the dress bc she'll make more with girls still trying it on than selling it! I said well, you don't have to be open but you are in business to sell dresses. Since we have so much to repair I would think more than 15 would be better. She legit said no I'm not selling you the dress.and to take my business somewhere else, bc I'm ungrateful for the 15% and I've been obnoxious all night. WTH! Are you seriously talking to customer this way... yes yes I am she said! I said fine please just cash us out my daughter loves the dress give my the 15 off and call it a night. She said no. I'm not doing business with you. She said herself and two employees are now on overtime and we wasted all of their time bc they close at 8. ( it was 7:55)... we said fine forget it. Walked out without a dress and got in my car , owner turned off lights and left. No cleaning, no restocking, no inventory, no vacuuming or dusting... nothing! And literally closed at 8pm NOT overtime! No sale! Rude and absolutely no customer service! read more

My overall experience shopping for a reception dress was ok, until I took my dress home and realized that was not cleaned and steamed as promised, not to mention it was damaged. It was a very bad feeling because now I feel stuck and have to deal with such poor quality work, this is not something a bride expected 10 days before her wedding. They didn't have to lie about cleaning the dress, who wants to wear and dirty and ripped jewelry dress o their special day? Not me, If you shop with them please follow up with what they promised so you don't get lied to. the level of professionalism was just not there. read more

My experience at Bella You was amazing. My first time trying on wedding dresses was not great so I was nervous to try again, but Margaret and Amanda were so welcoming, personable, accommodating, and genuinely looking to help me find a dress I was happy with, I'm glad I decided to try this shop. I never felt rushed or pressured to buy. It's a smaller shop which was nice because she wasn't trying to juggle multiple brides at the same time. They have a great selection of dresses that you wouldn't see at the 'box' stores, and if a dress wasn't exactly what I was looking for, they were more than willing to order a dress with any changes I requested to make it perfect like a different neckline or different color. The prices were very reasonable, and they even had some great sales going on which made the prices even more reasonable if you aren't looking to spend a lot. I found the perfect dress for my wedding, and they offer alterations right in their shop which willl be very convenient once my dress comes in. I would definitely recommend Bella You to anyone looking for a dress! read more

Terrible customer service, lack of attention to detail and lengthy turn around time for my dress. First of all, I was not a fan of the environment when I went to try the dresses on both of the women weren't very welcoming and it just wasn't a fun experience. Then, it took 4 months for them to get my dress in. Next, I'm out-of-state (the bride is in-state) and when I called to make the remainder of my payment I had to call about 6 times before getting a hold of someone, and their phone goes straight to voicemail instead of a busy signal when they are on the phone. When I finally got through to the phone the woman was extremely rude and cut me off mid-sentence to talk to a customer in the store, I heard most of their conversation and almost hung up. I asked that they let my friend pick up the dress to avoid the extra cost to ship it. And to top it all off, they shipped my dress to me anyway, clearly she just wasn't listening to me! At least I got free shipping out of it... Regardless I would NOT recommend this place. read more

After facing some sudden, unexpected additional wedding expenses, I made the nerve-wracking decision that I shouldn't buy a dress brand new, rather that I should search for a used or sample gown instead. That is when I came into contact with Bella You on PreOwnedWeddingDresses.com, where they were listing a sample gown for sale. From the initial contact Margaret and her team were very responsive, friendly, and professional. Living nearly five hours away in NJ, I took a chance and took their word on the quality and condition of the gown I was purchasing from them (I had previously tried on similar gowns in another boutique closer to home, so I knew the look and style of the designer would be right for me), and they did not disappoint. The gown arrived promptly in pristine condition, as Margaret had promised it would be. I could not be more pleased with my experience with them and I absolutely love my dress! I would not trust some of the negative reviews on here, as my experience doing business with them nearly 300 miles away was nothing but pleasant and honest, and I think that in itself says enough.
