It's been a pleasant experience from the first day I picked up the phone to call and ask questions from CINDY. Everyone was really kind and caring which made me feel really comfortable . Dr. Scott Segal is a professional at what he does and he was very kind, informative, and caring. I did thorough research into who I should pick to go with for my lasik surgery and I'm glad to have picked him. I'm currently recovering from the procedure and it seems to be going great. Dr. Scott also gave me his personal number in case I have any questions or concerns. All information regarding financing, prescriptions, and scheduling were easy to follow. I had my post op checkup this morning and I already have 20/25 vision :).

Many complicated level of patients requiring more time for a on the spot second consult so wait tomes vary according to caring staff. I would recommend this facility and location. It is unfortunate and unclear and unacceptable why a reasonable wait of 3 hours of off putting for a high level of specific service and testing compulsory for this level of care. Perhaps the sophistication level on the patient end needs to be increased to a more generous window of tolerance. The analysis and analytics required for your diagnostic evaluation and assessment includes a bevy of different tests with top of the line Swiss and German technology and techniques. I called Diagnostic Eye Center Wednesday morning and asked for an appointment on Thursday or Friday. Within a short time they told me to come in that afternoon. They took varied tests and pictures of my eyes and I was advised to see my primary care doctor or my cardiologist as soon as I could. The doctor sent a message to both about my condition and told me to call to set up an appointment with either. The doctor made a follow-up call the next morning to see if I'd had any luck (which I hadn't) and called me again later that day. That's quality care!

The main doctor I have seen is Dr. Tucker and she is great! Dr. Tucker will go out of her way to help and make sure you're happy. She helped me try hard contacts (something I'd never even been offered before) for the first time and now I can actually SEE in my contacts! Whenever she tells me about an eye product, I almost always receive a free sample, which is really helpful. The only minor complaints I have are that parking can be a little hard to find and it seems expensive. Maybe I just have really terrible eye insurance, but I feel like BFEC is more expensive than places I've been in the past. I once went in to ask why my eye kept watering (I was afraid it was scratched), they looked at it very briefly, and then charged me $120. I'm not saying it's their fault, I'm just saying I'm always surprised at how much money I spend there. But I keep going back because the service is good, I love Dr. Tucker, and the office is close to where I work.

I was referred to Dr. El-Annan by another eye doctor while at MD Anderson Cancer Center. After extensive testing by Dr. El-Annan's staff, his evaluation concluded I had (PCO) posterior capsule opacification and l would need laser treatment to correct it. I agreed to the treatment. It took almost no time. After maybe two hours everything was almost normal. By the next day, I was stunned as to how good my vision was. Almost as if nothing was ever wrong! As an added bonus, Dr. Annan was so patient and so informative about every aspect of the 'operation'. He kept asking if I was understanding everything he was telling me. As I was leaving and they were appartently have their afteroon pow wow, I leaned in and said the recovery period is six months. That's one of descriptors Dr. Kim should have shared. I'm going to the Houston Eye Associates who know that low-dose atrophine can be prescribed for eye floater. No one at Retina & Vireous Center had a clue. I've never had so many tests run on me without any explanation of what each test was for. I have a suspicion they were running up the bill. There ran duplicate tests - one with dilation medicine and another with a contraption that checks your eye and dilation is not needed. The last test was invasive as the dictor kept ckecking all around the eye just like previous tests had done. Again, he never explained what he was doing or why he was doing. That is totally unprofessional.
