I was told by Dr.Tran I might have Keratoconus, and that I was going to be referred somewhere I just had to wait for a call with the specialist I never received the call from the specialists office. Months passed I am having trouble with my right eye I can not see from the half top of my right eye & called back to see if now they can refer me and to know what happened. The guy that attended my call told me that there were no notes left when I went there which was in March. He told me I was going to get a call back within an hour because the Dr was with another patient. Well they have not called me. I am looking for a ophthalmologist on my own because I suddenly lost part of my sight from my right eye and this office seems to have no communication whatsoever. Yes everyone is polite and answered my questions the Dr is nice as well but they are lacking COMMUNICATION with the patient. At least that was my experience. read more

As many of the reviews already state, I decided to try Heights Eye Care due to the very positive reviews on Yelp and I was not disappointed! Dr. Tran and her staff are all very professional and friendly. My appointment was efficient and very quick. I came to get my eyes checked and get a contact refill when COVID still had many business shut down and the entire time I was there, I felt very safe and everything was thoroughly sanitized. After learning my rebate for contacts had also expired, Dr. Tran was kind enough to give me a month free since I didn't qualify for the contacts. I cannot say enough about Dr. Tran and her team! I have only been going to Dr. Tran for 2 years and I wish I had started earlier. She is so thorough, and answers every question I have - and sometimes I have a lot. Dr. Tran is kind, caring, and skillful. Today I was in for a quick stop to pick up my contacts. Bianca was at the front and could not have been kinder. She obviously is happy at her job and genuinely likes the customers who come in. Although I thought it would be a quick in/out, I could not understand the itemized receipt. Bianca thought Dr. Tran could explain it better for me and I was happy to wait until Dr. Tran was finished with a patient. It literally took 4 (or was it 5?) times for Dr. Tran to explain the invoice so I knew exactly what insurance had covered and what I had paid. Bless her for not showing one bit of irritation with me. I recently visited Heights Eye Care as a new patient. I had been loyal to another Heights Optometrist, but made the decision to look elsewhere as his front desk staff became very unprofessional and the appointments were no longer fast and convenient. I actually was there for two hours during my last appointment - umm...no. After doing my search of in-network providers I came across Dr. Tran and her practice and was super excited to check out her business as it was brand new and modern. Nothing about my experience was disappointing. The entire staff was super friendly and made the entire process very easy. Dr. Tran was very knowledgeable and made me feel at ease. She was great at explaining everything to me, especially when I had questions. I never felt like I was trying to be upsold on anything and in fact I felt like she had my best interest in mind the entire time. She and her staff even accommodated me and helped ensure that I was maximizing my benefits and getting the most bang for my buck and for that I am truly grateful and now a loyal customer. Dr. Tran is super sweet and friendly! I made an appointment for a Tuesday and arrived a bit early since it was my first time here. It looked quite busy when I walked in. I told the front desk I was here for my 1pm appointment. Immediately, one of the staff turned around and asked Amanda? I was impressed that he knew my name even though I have never been here. The usual checkup routine was fast and the staff was friendly. I needed a new contact prescription because the one I was wearing was giving me headaches as well as blurry vision. One of my eyes was worse than the other one so she offered me one option with the same prescription and the second option with different prescription for both eyes. I like that Dr. Tran gave me recommendations and provided pro's and con's. I got good advice on LASIK eye surgery. It was something that I wanted to do but she said I could wait for a while. In addition, she also gave me a spectacle prescription (eyeglass) and my contact prescription. Can't say enough good things about Dr. Tran. She made my first visit so comfortable and welcoming. We also had a nice chat here and there. I like the fact she was getting to know me on personal level and not just as a patient. read more

They are very helpful when it comes to understanding and maximizing your insurance benefits, which is appreciated. The office itself is beautiful and they use all the latest technology to check your eye health. In addition to getting new glasses I was interested in getting back into contacts again after years of not wearing them due to dryness/irritation. Dr. Tran is very up-to date on the latest contacts available and made multiple recommendations for some that I may tolerate better, which is very exciting! I had a smooth experience when I first visited for a prescription update. However, my prescription changed significantly and when I filled it with a third party I wasn't comfortable with the change. After getting a very different second opinion from another optometrist, I called Heights Eye Care to help me resolve the discrepancy. Even though the prescription was still valid, they said they would have to charge me an additional fee for "refactoring." I was disappointed that they wouldn't take the time to get it right so that I could get glasses and contacts that I was comfortable with. read more

I love the location of this office it's right next to Snooze (a brunch hot spot). Parking is a bit of a challenge, but it is the heights so what did you expect. My recommendation is try to schedule an appt around the peak hours for brunch. The Dr. Tran and her staff do a great job at making you feel at ease and take their time with you throughout the whole process. Also, this might not matter as much to a lot of people, but the aesthetic of the office is so wonderful and cute. It's very simple and minimalistic AND very clean. I've been going to an optometrist with a large chain of stores around the Houston area for most of my life. The service has been going steadily over the years and I felt like just another patient. I had been thinking about switching doctors but didn't really know who to go see. One morning while eating breakfast a few stores down I noticed they were building Height Eye Care. I decided I'd give them a shot once they were open and I'm glad I did! The service was top notch and I feel like my prescription has really been "dialed in" as I'm seeing better than ever. Without a doubt I would not go here again!! The opticians are CRAP!!! If you ask them to explain the breakdown of your lenses they can't. They couldn't grasp the concept on how to adjust the frames and they won't give you your undivided attention. I asked a lady who was trying to take care of me and trying to adjust my frame at the same time, ended up wasting about 30 minutes just waiting for her when there were two of them and only two customers. The second customer was in and out quickly, when I brought this to her attention she snapped loudly saying she was busy doing too many things at a time like it was my problem basically yelling, highly unprofessional. This is what an optician is supposed to do, glasses are not cheap here and customer service is expected which is what they lack. Its too bad because the doctor seemed nice and I was thinking of getting my prescriptions done there. After she raised her voice at me I gave them no other chance but to simply get a refund and move about my way, no customer service means no business from me. read more

I don't have enough good things to say about this office!! I hadn't been to an eye doctor's office in about 10 years following my Lasik procedure, and had finally gotten to the point where I needed minor vision correction. As soon as I decided it was time to go, I was anxious to make an appointment so I could see better again. Heights Eye Care was able to get me in the next afternoon, an hour before they closed - and Dr Tran stayed 1/2 hour after they closed with me so that I could finish my selection of glasses and contacts too. I was pleasantly surprised with the amount of state-of-the-art equipment Dr Tran had, and the speed in which I was able to get in and out including eye exam + being fitted for glasses and contacts - about 1.5 hours in total. I got some trial contacts that same day, and within a week I had my glasses and contacts so I was good to go.
