But during the cooler months, there is only one table and a couple of small benches. However; it does still have a soft spot in my heart. I stopped in on a Wednesday evening around 6:20 PM. There was one couple in front of me and I was able to sample two different options. In total I ordered three ice cream containers to go. Service seemed OK at first, the first ice cream was scooped with no issue, but halfway through giving instructions. Another employee interrupted and wanted me to start telling them about the next one. This didn't make a lot of sense as I was the only one in line. It also caused a lot of confusion. The second ice cream I ordered was going to be consumed by me, so I knew exactly what I wanted. Unfortunately, the portions are anything but consistent here. See photo for description. The third and final ice cream I ordered was a love it, but they gave me a like it. Unfortunately, I was not offered a receipt, so I have no idea if I was charged for it. While checking out I mentioned to both staff members that the ice cream was in even as far as proportions go. Just looking at the ice cream containers you can tell that one is not full, but neither were willing to address the concern. They placed my items in the bag and walked away. Honestly, I have no intentions of ever returning to this location or recommending it. There's honestly no reason when the customer service is lacking and the proportions are uneven, plus the consistency sucks. Had the employees addressed my concern. I wouldn't be nearly as annoyed, but because they missed an opportunity to correct an issue in the moment, I don't see any reason to return. This location is poorly rated, and I can totally understand why. It's honestly not worth it when you can drive a couple of miles to the next location or grab an ice cream from a shop that's locally made. There's just one problem: the lattes are inconsistent in the evenings. The majority of times I order a latte, I can hear the loud sound of the steam wand, which tells me the milk isn't being steamed properly. The loud sound tells me the wand is too far in the milk. Many times, the latte also turns out lukewarm. I really love Sebastian Joe's, but I can hear the indication that the baristas don't have proper coffee training. I have several years of barista experience under my belt; is there anyone there who can take some time to give better training? Fingers crossed this gets fixed.
