    Flavors late August, 2026

I was extremely impressed with the vegan flavors available at Sweet Science! I hadn't been to a Sweet Science since they were located at Lake Como, and back then they only had one or two vegan flavors. I'm glad my partner insisted we go, because almost 1/4 of their flavors are now vegan. I had an extremely difficult time deciding between all of the amazing looking flavors, but ultimately decided on the banana guava and the summer strawberry flavors, each of which was amazing. I also tried the dark chocolate sorbet, which was also delicious. My daughter and her friend both had regular ice creams, which they liked. The staff was super friendly, they even rescooped a cone after one of them dropped their scoop. There's a small amount of indoor seating but a lot of pleasant outdoor seating!

Greeted with enthusiasm and smiles -making me feel welcomed and happy. The cookies and cream ice cream is a rich creamy base with bits of cookies & cream. Great classic and their mini scoops was a perfect size.

Delicious ice cream with fun flavors! Ice cream is smooth and creamy. Service was fast and friendly, and it is clean inside. There are pints available to purchase to-go. There is very limited seating inside, but during warm months there are a ton of tables outside. There is free parking available in ramps nearby. I didn't love the base of the Rhubarb Cinnamon Almond, but I really enjoyed the Berry Crumble. The Basil is delicious but a large scoop can be too much.

We were having drinks nearby and when walking back to our car, decided we needed a little ice cream to finish off the night! The best part about this area is the free ramp parking. A quick walk over to this small shop. The space isn't necessarily for hanging out, but it's clean and modern. Perfect to grab and go for a stroll around the 50th and France shoppes. The staff was incredibly friendly and positive, when when we showed up right before closing. The ice cream was perfect! Creamy and dreamy, not icy at all! I had their Coffee and Cookie flavor, which had a strong, pleasantly bitter coffee taste, balanced perfectly with cream and cookie bits. A lovely scoop for sure!

Pretty good ice cream, and unique flavors! It was cool to hear the backstory of the owner being into food science themselves. The theming is cute, and had me curious on why they use periodic table elements! I got Strawberry Matcha, which was a limited flavor! It tasted very fresh, and it was a great little scoop! There isn't much seating, so take note of that before you stop by here!

I've always wanted to try the local Sweet Science ice cream and see it stocked in stores but have never had the chance to dig in so when we searched for a dessert to close out our date night I was pumped it was only a 4 min walk away! The server helping us was so patient as we tried samples and was so sweet in asking how we were doing, how the weather is, and if we were enjoying our day. I ended up getting the blood orange cream and it was absolutely incredible! Close second choice was vanilla mint fudge but I'm not a huge fudge girl so had to pass. The blood orange cream was the perfect mix of the two flavors that complimented each other well without being too tart or too sweet. I got it in a sugar cone and it was just the absolute best!

I love ice cream & recognized the scoops wall from Keg & Case. The flavors here are pretty unique which I love. We went on a Sunday afternoon & it wasn't too busy in this area. They had plenty of flavors to offer. I got the almond toffee ganache and sweet corn blueberry in a cup. Both flavors were really good. Love that they use all natural ingredients. They don't have much seating inside but there's a ton of seating outside & they had live music when we went which was nice. There's parking ramps nearby which makes it easy to visit.

After a day swimming we needed some ice cream and Sweet Science looked like a fun spot to test out with some fun flavor options. We sampled a few flavors and the whole family decided we all had to have our own scoop of the hazelnut brownie. My wife and I split flavors on a single scoop and got the rhubarb flavor and almond toffee ganache. Everything was great. The waffle cone was quite tasty as well. One thing that is especially nice about this location is the courtyard just outside which offers a nice place to enjoy the delicious ice cream. It also looked like occasionally there are some family themed events to take advantage of in the courtyard. We will be back for sure.

This ice cream shop is amazing for anyone with allergies (I have nut and gluten restrictions). The staff was incredibly welcoming, knowledgeable about flavors, and happy to offer samples and suggest great combinations. The shop itself is spotless and super cute--definitely worth a visit!

Stopped in after dinner with my family and had a wonderful experience. The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable of all the different flavors. I love that their ice cream is made with all natural and locally sourced ingredients. They make all of their small batches by hand in their St.Paul kitchen. So cool!

Wonderful ice cream flavors! Was very conflicted but after tasting a couple ended up choosing hazelnut brownie and betty crumble, which didn't necessarily go together well but each on their own were the best flavors I tried. Brownie bits were delish and berry compote/crumble topping was fabulous

We've been fans of Sweet Science Ice Cream from their beginning. I remember when they were first getting started, they would hold these free tasting events at various locations around the cities. Essentially there would be 10-15 stations. People would line up and then walk through that line. You then had the option to taste the ice cream or move onto the next table. This was all free. Free ice cream! The only regret I have is I didn't think about the idea of getting back in line again until now. Currently they have way more than 10-15 flavors. They have seasonal flavors and new flavors monthly. From traditional flavors to flavors with goat cheese, beer and even corn, We love their peppermint bark however we really love their snickerdoodle. Visit their store or purchase at some local grocery stores. This is some really good ice cream.

We stopped here for ice cream and were very impressed! The guy behind the counter was really friendly, knowledgeable, and patient! He offered us samples and didn't make us feel rushed whatsoever. I got a scoop of sugar cookie which was pretty good, but the other scoop I got was banana caramel blondie. I don't even usually order banana, but this was easily some of the best ice cream I have ever had. HIGHLY recommend!! I didn't get a picture with the cup full since I dug in so fast lol

Sonny was always there, and always made everything better. I don't remember how we said "the vibes are good" in the 1900s, but the vibes were so very good at the turn of the last century. I moved out of the neighborhood, but still tried to get back as often as possible. I am so very glad Sonny's is up and running. The Ice Cream seems less ice cream like than it used to, and more gelato like. That's fine, but it's noticeable. The prices are a little higher than comparable places, but that's ok too. But the vibes are just off.

It is by far the most aesthetically pleasing ice cream shop in the Twin Cities-I felt like I was transported to a little charming corner of Europe. The staff were warm and friendly, and patiently offered samples to my indecisive friend and I. I don't recall seeing any seating inside the shop, but we were able to easily find a spot in the patio space (which does fill up pretty fast). We tried the Sonny Bai (pistachio ice cream) and Blackberry Sorbet, both whose quality in authenticity and flavor left nothing to be desired! Looks like I've found my go to spot for the rest of the summer!
