I always prefer banking in person and hate doing everything online, but this branch is the poster child for online banking. In my household we have between 10-12 accounts and investments, but if we dare step into the branch we are not welcome. From the branch manager, to the guy at the desk with glasses, to a handful of the tellers, they clearly do not want to interact with people. I love Bellco's rates so it is hard for me to switch banks/credit unions, but I had to open another account at a different bank for our everyday use because we are sick of being treated poorly. If you have a branch closer to you I recommend Bellco, but if this would be your branch I would avoid it. read more

This Bellco is very nice. The building is clean and the minimal decor creates a comfy and welcoming environment. There were several bankers available to chat with customers and a few tellers ready to help with walk-up deposits and withdrawals. The main reason I visited was the coin counting machine, since the Bellco location closer to me doesn't have one. I worked with the representative Stacy to pay off my car. Instead of offering a free way to pay it off like a cashiers check, he had me move cash to the Bellco credit union first, then pay it off. My bank then charged me $570, or a 3% fee. I was never told about any possible fee that could be charged for paying off my car this way. Neither my bank nor Bellco will reimburse me so I'm out all that money. The manager said "usually our representatives are trained to tell customers about that" but apparently this person wasn't. Enter if you dare. This location purports to be a CU service center. The goal of a CU service center is to be able to interact with your accounts as though you are at your home credit union. Apparently this branch has a policy of only allowing withdrawals of $500 for non bellco members. This defeats the whole purpose of being a CU service center because you could pull the same amount from an ATM. Also not a great idea when a new customer walks in the door to throw policy in their face: How likely am I to move an account when the first experience I have with you is negative? 0%. I didn't appreciate the smug attitude when walking in and found the staff here to be too keen on throwing bullshit policy in your face instead of working on problems. Ok, I get it. People have asked to be able pull other denominations other than 20s for years. It is now possible, BUT the ATM developers apparently did zero user testing or polling. They decided in their own bubble to NOT stick with 20s as the default, and instead do anything but 20s as a starting point and go with random combinations of denominations, just because they could ? Quick $60 gets you a 50 and two fives ? Really? $80 (not on the quick menu) gets you 4 20s. No, the default is some random combo, and you have to change the various denominations to get 4 20s. Just more poor coding with no regard for end users. read more

I have a joint account with my mother who sadly passed away the beginning of this month. Not knowing exactly what bills would be automatically taken out, I called to freeze the account until I could obtain her death certificate. A week later payments started came out and made the account negative. My account never got frozen (twice) and they didn't upload the death cert after I provided it. They showed no empathy and asked questions that were frankly non of their business. I spoke with a lawyer and the actions I took were correct. Once I informed them what they were doing was illegal and provided the proof, the money was credited back. I will not be banking with them any further. I really can't believe the way they handled the situation. I work in a customer service job and this was by far the worst experience I could have ever imagined. read more

Over a decade long customer leaving Bellco forever. I will try to make this short and to the point. A family member of mine passed away on the seventh. On the 12th we called Bellco to freeze the account not knowing what automatic withdrawals the deceased family member had. Bellco stated on a recorded call that they froze the account. They stated they were able to do so because we shared the account with the deceased party. Weeks later, we find that the account was never frozen and many automatic withdrawals have been taken out of the account to make it negative. We walked into the Lincoln and Stroh location and was told there was nothing that could be done that we owe the money. We called into customer service , and got the issue fixed and rolled back to where we did not owe the money due to the death certificate being dated the seventh and the call being recorded. I would highly recommend staying away from any Bellco in the Parker area. After over a decade of being a customer, I am leaving Bellco. Now we will see a canned cut and paste reply from Bellco stating that I should call into their resolution desk. Ha ha they are terrible. Shame on you Bellco! I have been a member of a 1-sided banking relationship for over 23 yrs. I have given you all of my business and personal banking over the years. I have consistently felt that I had to fight for the lending and banking relationship with mountains to climb every time. When I branched out to other lenders I was met with open arms and no hurdles to jump thru. The Bellco Parker branch has always been a revolving door of associates with new faces every time I turn around. This makes it terribly difficult to maintain any relationship when you are always introducing yourself. I have been a loyal member since '99 and one of your 1st originating business account members. Even when my issues hit the highest desks in the corporate leadership team - nobody feels the need to reach out and resolve and correct the issues. Even today I seriously doubt anyone from the corporate leadership team will even read this! In one extreme situation I was told by someone I knew in the corporate office that the CFO was terminated for how 1 of my accounts (and a few others) were handled, but again to resolution to the issue. If you're looking for a bank this is my choice. Every time I go in here the tellers make me smile. They are so friendly and remember my name. Terrance the manager is the reason I choose to switch to Bellco. I don't see him every time but he always has time if I have a question and has gladly filled my request when no other bank would. I get the same great service every time I bank here. The lines are usually super short. And they have a change machine in the lobby. Customer services is not dead. It's thriving here. I also think Bellco is a mixed bag. They offered me great rates to finance and refinance my car loans a few years back. Then, their credit lending standards changed (even though my credit had improved during this same time) and they were less easy to work with. The building is still relatively new and clean. They have free coffee and hot chocolate in the lobby. The staff and management are friendly. However, sometimes a friendly teller can be a "chatty" teller and it can slow down the line. In the last year, the Drive Thru ATMs (the only 2 for the site) have frequently been out of order. This is a pain, as the nearest other location is several miles away. read more

If you do have an escalated issue, you are referred to their 800# and half the time get a voicemail for billing customer service (ie: trying to apply an overage in auto loan payment to late fee.) Messages left often get no return call so I visited the branch for assistance. No help, told me to call #800 again for request. Teller even tried to call & got CS voicemail. read more

I have been banking with Bellco for 4 years since moving to Colorado but am now deciding to close my account. I came across the rudest manager today in the corporate contact center. I originally called in to dispute a transaction and discuss possibly having fees reversed. I informed the lady that I was aware that the fees were not due to CU error however I explained that Geico would not work with me even though it was there fault for the early debit. I kindly asked her to review my account to see if she could help. She places me on hold to speak to someone then came back and said she could help with 1 fee. I was grateful and thanked her. After a few hours, I didn't see the fee reversed so I called back to see if someone could look into it. I was immediately transferred to a supervisor for some reason. The rudest gentleman came on the line. He told me "The last rep gave you the wrong information. We can't help you. I will speak to her about this." I asked him why he could not honor her word and refund the 1 fee for me. He started to raise his voice and repeatedly kept saying "We've already reversed 4 fees. We cannot help you." I explained to him that the previous reversals were due to my account being fraudulently taking over which bellco caught and called me about. He repeatedly kept talking over me loudly. He refused to help. Had no empathy. He spoke to me like I was irresponsible and a bother to him. I told him I would close my account because I didn't believe it was ethically right to guarantee a reversal then to not live up to that. He said he could mail me a check or I could go inside to close it. He didn't care to keep my business. He said that I could call the branch and ask for a manager. Which I did and the manager who I spoke to has not even called me back. Which I am not surprised. I was on the verge of tears as my father n law just died and have had so many financial hardships occurring. I refuse to bank with people who treat other humans this way. read more

Once you call the primary line, they give you another phone number to get your member id number if you don't have one yet and that number is disconnected. I have been a member of a saving account here for about 3 years. Knowing it is time to move money from the big banks I thought nothing of bringing my income and savings to Bellco. I work 65 + hours a week so getting into a branch is impossible without missing or being late to work. So making an appointment for a Saturday was my only option to quickly open a new account on an existing membership. I left the branch in Parker on November 20th without a receipt for a cash deposit, any documentation of the product Boost checking account of which I was not offered any free checking account alternative, no fee schedule and no debit card. Today is day 16 without a debit card to pay bills, buy gas or shop for gifts as the holidays are here. In this time I have received two duplicate notices of change of address and one end of month statement. As there are very few ATM locations this decision has been a huge hassle as my ATM card is only attached to my savings account and the daily limit is low. Bellco Credit Union is hit or miss Sometimes I think they are great and they above and beyond but other times I just want to close my account and move to another bank. I like going into the Parker Branch. The staff that works the lobby is very friendly and very helpful. The tellers that work the back are hit and miss as well - service here seems to be slow. I seem to get behind the person that wants to do 10 things and then they need the manager etc. So just because there is only one person in the whole bank doesn't mean that it is a quick in and out. First visit to this location and I was impressed! I have a checking, savings, and loc with this CU. I was just stopping by to take out some cash so I went to the drive thru. It was interesting because the teller was on a screen versus behind a glass window which is what I am used to. That said, she was very pleasant, accurate, and speedy. She even offered me a dog treat because she noticed that I was running errands with my puppy. I have used Bellco for about 4 years now and I haven't always been the happiest, but I have felt above average about the service and offerings the entire time. This location is doing it right! I have had a business account at this branch for 6 years. Was a victim of identity theif February 2018. Have been dealing with the Branch Manager on this matter for 2 month with no resolution. I have received conflicting information. The bank refuses to submit a ACH form to Capital One for the funds. The funds were not authorized by me and is valid proof. The Branch manager has no customer service skills and has made no effort to resolve this issue. I had to go into the branch and this woman still has done nothing. She has not be knowledgeable on any question I have asked her. I am now working with their fraud department. The quality of customer care continues to go down hill. They're stealing from people here. Three times we've gone in to make a deposit and they tell us we're short $100. When you ask for the money back they pretend to find it in the envelope you gave them. This happened twice once to myself and once to my sister. This third time it was my husband and he took their word for it but I'm 100% sure he went in with the right amount. I have closed my accounts with this credit union after having some problems with their bill pay service never reaching the recipient (even though they took the funds out for it). We are currently having trouble getting an issue resolved with Bellco. We made our last car payment last month. Come to find out that Bellco is saying we had a lapse in insurance and we owe them more money? We have never had a lapse and our insurance agent has provided them with the documentation. Bellco in general doesn't seem to be very customer oriented and they don't seem to understand the business for which they are in. I used the overnight depository and it took Bellco three days to post the deposit to my account. When I called them on it the gentleman at the 800# admitted to me that they do not always check the overnight depository and it is not uncommon for it to take a few days. read more

I had an auto loan through Bellco and was very disappointed in the level of customer service that they provided. It seems like everything I needed to do with my account (get payoff, update address, try and add my spouse to the account, etc) were not possible over the phone or on the internet. Having had many other auto loans, this by far was the worst experience that I have had. I recently sold the car and am thankful that I will not have to deal with them again. After a month I called and was told it takes Arapahoe county may be 6 weeks to issue them. I just called again and was told a Bellco employee didn't do their job and ever submit it to the county. But after multiple instances where they closed my accounts because of mistakes they made to my account with depositing loads of money that wasn't mine (so i had no way of getting to MY money over weekends) and not alerting me they where doing this, i'm almost done with them. Then they apparently have no way of helping me when there ATM glitches out and doesn't deposit my check, besides giving me terrible customer service, and telling me i couldn't get to my own money for at least a week now! I applied and was approved for an auto loan through Bellco Credit Union in 2013. Lately, due to a workplace injury, I have struggled to keep the loan current through these difficult times while recovering. I have kept in continuous contact with this financial institution working to keep the loan current. I spoke with an agent in the mitigation department who explained that I would qualify for a "Loan Deferment Program." I was approved for this program in early 2015. The Bellco Represenative in the mitigation department claimed to have mailed out documents to be signed, (I requested email as it would be faster and was told this was not possible). I waited for two weeks only to find that the documents never arrived. I called the mitigation department and informed them of the situation, to which they said they would re-send the documents. Again I waited and the documents never arrived. I again called. The representative then explained that because I was past due 30 days that I must make a payment in order to be qualified. I explained that I was already qualified for the program and that they never sent the required documents as requested. The representative explained that she saw my calls informing them that I had yet to receive the documents and said she would have to seek management approval before my request could be processed. This was on a Friday and she said she would reply back to me either by end of business on Friday or on Monday the 9th of March. I had not heard from the representative so I called to inquire on the status. I spoke with the same rep as before and was told that the account had not been reviewed yet by management and that she would call me when a decision has been made. I asked when this would happen, and she claimed that possibly by Thursday or Friday. I know that I am the person who is late on the account, however, I am trying to find solutions to the problem as I am sure Bellco does not want the vehicle back and I made the contract and plan to honor the obligation. It seems to me that other than taking money, Bellco is not interested in helping there clients in rough times as they claim (Bottom of the statement claims "Your account is pas due We Can Help!!!). I hope that Bellco will read this review and reach out to help me with this account. read more
