My photographs were great. However I have been trying for months to contact the business by phone, mail, and email to purchase my cherished photos with no answer. I'm not sure if they are out of business. My letter came back as unclaimed and no forwarding info. The photos are very important to me as they were taken for the reason that a family member was dying and they have now passed. I would really like to purchase them. I'm hoping the owner sees this review and contacts me. If not for not receiving any answers and not being able to purchase my photos I would give this business a very high rating. read more

We've had Belle Amie take our family pictures twice now. I have to say photographs are very important to me (especially since having my daughter last year) and Belle Amie has exceeded my expectations both times. Melissa (the photographer) is great to work with, she has a bunch of energy (even at 8months pregnant) and really helped my family pose so we got the best pictures. I would say the only downside is that the office staff is a little flaky when it comes to getting back to customers, but all in all I would rather have great photographs than a responsive office. read more

Melissa is fabulous! We just had our wedding and we got to see a few preview pics and they are amazing. We weren't surprised considering how outstanding our engagement photos turned out : ). Also, she was wonderful to get us those prints for the wedding on a tight deadline. She was so great working the crowd. She easily switched from directing shots to melting into the background to catch candids of all those special moments. She snapped photos on friends phones and shared elbow room as people crowded past. She was careful to switch up equipment to accommodate the lighting changes as the sun went down. Our friend, who's a talented amateur photographer, was in love with Melissa's professional set up and ease with her craft. Our biggest reason for choosing her, aside from her bubbly and personable demeanor, was her ability to capture the character of her subjects rather than just their appearance. We worked with Belle Amie 9 years ago when our daughter was born and thought they did a wonderful job. We recently received a very expensive brochure from them, offering a summer special with a handwritten note from Melissa that read "hope to see you soon." I then called her on a Monday to arrange a photo shoot and did not hear back until Wednesday. At that time she vaguely confirmed a few dates the following week that might work and when I contacted her again to schedule, I did not hear back. One Sunday afternoon we had our entire family in the car (baby and all) dressed up and on our way to the beach to meet our photographer, when I got a last minute email saying that she was canceling!!! I was so upset and didn't know what to do. I remembered a friend had recommended Belle Amie Studios and I thought I would give them a call in hopes that they were available that afternoon. Thank God Melissa answered the phone. She was so sweet and understanding. She said she was doing another family's photos at a different beach in a little bit but if we came now she could squeeze us in and do them first. I was beside myself with joy! We used Belle Amie Studios about a year ago and loved the way our family photos turned out. Just did another session with Greg and were very pleased with the results! Our 1.5 year old was not in a picture taking mood, but Greg worked with her and was still able to get some really wonderful shots (you'd have no clue she was throwing a tantrum just minutes before). It was really easy to schedule an appointment and even better, the turn around time was fantastic! (We viewed our photos within 4 days - I've never experienced a viewing session happen that quickly).
