Sasha really deserves to receive these 5 stars for her amazing talent with the camera as well as her skills in handling the business side of things, this was the first time my family and I had taken professional family photos and my wife booked the session for us. For me, it was something that we want but always put off for later, so my wife did the research and made the contact. From there it has been nothing but professional and courteous interacting with Sasha (setting the date, location, making a deposit). We met up with Sasha at the determined location, she suggested the location, since we are new to SoCal, after asking what kind of a setting we wanted, and the place was a short hike from the parking lot. The place was nice and quiet, perfect for the shots we wanted. Because it was a beach, and it was early December the water was a bit cold, so our kids were excited for about the first 1/3rd of the session until they dunked their feet into the ice-cold ocean and weren't as cooperative afterwards, but Sasha was there with us working the camera and our kids the entire time. As per her description, Sasha doesn't do many posed shots but aims for a more candid approach, giving us general directions and doing what she does best capturing the moments. Looking at the results of the photos, we're 100% satisfied with the outcome, you'd never know in some of the shots that my son was upset that his feet were wet and cold, but those are definitely going to be the inside secrets my wife and I share about the moment. Our family doesn't need to know that, lol. We gave the remainder of the payment the day of the shoot I believe, everything was done via Venmo, thank goodness for e-payments, very convenient. We weren't in a hurry for the photos, but they were ready after 2 weeks, and we even got a nice sneak peek video made with the stills. We loved the photos, enjoyed the session, and family have had nothing but compliments for us. Sasha is A+ and we will definitely recommend her to anyone we know looking to take pictures. read more

My family (OK, I) wanted to get some professional photos taken to capture our last few weeks as a family of three before our second child arrives. The most important things in choosing a photographer, of course, are the price and quality of photos. I knew Sasha's work was special after checking out many other photographers' web galleries, and I knew her price was reasonable having had a couple of photo shoots done in the past. I love the colors in her pictures, the ease of the subjects, the moments captured. Suffice it to say, Sasha did not disappoint. We had a windy day on the beach and a toddler who feared the water. I was so sure we got only a couple of good photos. I couldn't believe that we actually got many priceless ones. The experience itself was more than I could've hoped for, starting with Sasha's timely and great communication via email (even during a busy holiday season), her thoughtful advice on best shooting locations, and her clear directives on where and when to meet. During the shoot, she was warm and bubbly, focused and assuring. What could be a somewhat awkward or stressful experience for some was made really pleasant. We met her family briefly at the end, too, and they are all just lovely. Finally, Sasha somehow managed to get our photos to us in just a few days! I have NO idea how she did it in the week leading up to Christmas, and she even helped edit out a couple areas of skin inflammation on my daughter and me (which I had mentioned to her during the shoot). Where to start on my review of Sasha as a photographer, her skills, her attentiveness and the continuity of her excellent work, and keen attention to detail, from start to end of the WHOLE process?! This review will only illustrate what you already see in her amazing photos. She clearly slays with her experience and skill on the beach-scenery photos and has a rare knack for capturing folks in movement and real life, as opposed to the standard poses. Thus, reducing bodily awkwardness, not to mention the general awkwardness of being put in front of a lens, if you are not accustomed to it. I was looking to book an engagement photo shoot. I was communicating with several photographers simultaneously, since I wanted to include my children and my fiancé's child in some of our photos to reflect a sense of not only him and I coming together but our families coming together as well. I knew not every artist would see my vision with the same excitement and inspiration with this spin on the average, conventional engagement session. Availability also became a key factor on who we would ultimately book with. I got in communication with Sasha late in my search for a photographer. However, she quickly, and almost instantly became the front runner. There was a huge gap between her and any of the runner-up photographers I was in touch with. Sasha instantly took to my idea, provided feedback and told me about her other available services to help prepare for the shoot. Her e-mail responses were consistent and prompt. I never waited any long periods of time to get responses, ideas and affirmations from her via email or text, and as an over-thinking-about-every-detail fiancé, I greatly appreciated this and her patience with me. Her cost is upfront. Her services for deciding on attire for my large group of 5 were helpful, including the names of exact stores of where to shop, which for me was an unheard of one-stop shop and time-wise I couldn't have been happier about this. Most notable though, was how patient, willing to help and responsive she was via text when I needed someone to run my ideas and minor changes by! We had a phone call initially, which really put me at ease. Then, together her and I, we pieced my entire family of 5's wardrobe. We then ran scenarios and changed location a couple of times, and she just rolled with the punches and provided some of her professional input, but ultimately gave me freedom to decide. Though she has a clear talent for photos at the beach, I decided to go with the San Juan Capistrano Mission. Sasha was stoked about my decision and change of scenery for her. We then got on the same page with the vibe and what the outcome of my photo session expectations were. She just asked all of the right questions, at the right time, without me having to go over it first. She was always one step ahead, but never pushy or rushed. On the day of the shoot, she was absolutely wonderful. I really feel like I threw a few curve balls at her with the uncommon, not to mention small, location for my large group and the range of ages! It was 2 adults, 2 gents in their late teens AND an 8 y/o girl! It was also a warm day and the winds picked up randomly, which worked for my flowy skirt, but not always my long hair. Sasha helped with all of this. She had constant and great direction and she had us do many "exercises" for our photos. At the time, you find it really weird, BUT do like I did and TRUST your artist. We received our sneak peak video within less than 2 weeks of the shoot. I really love this service she provides, as it is much more fun and entertaining to show to your friends & relatives in this format, with music to set the whole tone, as opposed to scrolling through actual photographs one-by-one. Our finished product, the photos and captured moments of our family were beautiful and natural. These are things I will cherish and have for life. About a day later, Sasha sent over the link to our gallery, which is another awesome service she provides! Not to mention even more helpfulness with her recommendations for printing companies. She literally covers it all! I am so grateful that my search eventually led me to Sasha. I know I would have loved any photos of my family, but her creativity and special skills sincerely took things to another level. There wasn't one critique or change that I would make when it comes to doing business with her and her artistry. I am not easy to please, as I too have a keen attention to detail (not to mention my OCD, need for symmetry and the aforementioned overthinking), Sasha pulled through and then some. Sasha is so easy to work with and we actually had a lot of fun with the kids taking photos! She is very easy to schedule with, and is very calm and patient.
