This place has the audacity to send a completely wrong dress after six months of wait time, then ghost the customer after a couple of evasive emails. How convenient that I got the dress long after the time limit for which most banks will allow people to disbute charge! This was despite having been verbally assured that the dress will be ready in less than four months. I guess it was meant to teach your customers a lesson on not to trust anything your staff say? Save your money and gas and don't bother with this 'boutique' (which is a dubious claim, since I've seen literal facebook marketplace sellers behave more professionally than this supposed 'business'). They zipped up when I sent an email with photo evidence and receipt. I got a half-hearted 'we'll look into it' reply when I reached out on their FB business page, then it was also soon ignored. I was mostly baffled, because all I wanted was a shipping label so that I could send the wrong dress back to the store and get the right one sent to me. Or, if they absolutely could not send me the right dress for whatever dang reason, issue me a refund and let us part ways. You know, like any logical business would do when they mess up and give their customer the wrong merchandise. I never imagined that I would instead witness a behavior akin to a child sticking their fingers into their ears and pretending to hear nothing. read more

If I could give this bridal shop zero stars, I would. I recently had the most frustrating experience with Belle Bridal that I feel compelled to share. After selecting my dress, I was charged $300 more than the price tag, was charged for $150 shipping, despite the fact that I ended up having to pick it up myself, driving four hours to do so, and my dress not being in perfect condition, missing buttons and button caps. I attempted to contact the store multiple times over several weeks after purchasing my dress, but my calls and messages went unanswered. Finally getting the notice that my dress was in, I made arrangements to pick up my dress where the owner only gave me a 2 hour notice of when to come and pick up my dress. When I went to pickup my dress at the locations I purchased my dress at, I came to find the store was permanently closed. After 30 minutes of attempting to get in contact with the store, I received a text message stating that my dress was 4 hours north of where I purchased my dress. I felt forced to make the long drive in hopes of picking up my dress and resolving the issue in person. Unfortunately, when I arrived the dress was not pressed the manager was not there, and I was left with no other option but to leave a message. Once again, I received no follow-up after a weeks of reaching out. This lack of communication and accountability was incredibly disappointing, especially during such an important time. I expected better service from a bridal store, and I would caution others to consider their options carefully. read more

Belle Bridal has been amazing to work with - my dress came in three sizes too big and they worked with us to get a new one ordered / shipped quickly. Side note - I would recommend making sure someone with experience is sizing you and if they are newer maybe just have someone double check. I'm so excited to wear my dress! The lady who helped me was sweet, NORMAL and not pushy- something hard to find when wedding dress shopping. When I was visiting a couple months later, she let me try on the dress again. We had wanted to support local for our groomsmen's attire, but we were disappointed. The service was pretty bad to be honest - The groomsmen all went in for a fitting, and they messed up 3/6 of their sizing! One groomsmen had to tie his pants with string in the back because they were so large and the belt would not hold them up...luckily they did not fall down while he walked down the aisle, but he had to change after the ceremony. This business seems to only focus on brides and not put much quality into groomsmen even though that is a service they offer. read more

I went to Belle bridal pop up at Everett mall. I at first asked what the event was and what the dresses were from and the owner reassured me that all the dresses were brand new and due to covid they could not sell them at a discount price at the bridal shows as there was non for 2 years because of covid. Ok I kept an open mind..... Tried on dresses with very little help getting into them from staff.... I found a dress but was tight through hips and the owner kept saying to me it can me altered don't worry and then sold me a belt to add to dress. Ok I was happy at that moment and bought dress. Fast forward closer to my wedding went to get dress altered and was told by 2 different places it is an already altered dress and was cut and con not be altered. As a bride I was upset as my wedding was less than 6 wks away.... I stayed calm and thought this must be an honest mistake I was sold an already altered dress that I was told was brand new. Called shop and left message for owner who was at pop up event to call me back and waited days no call so I called again and left voicemails and text the number given on recording as it's said it's a cell to text. Again nothing so I called and finally talked to manager who was very nice and she said come in we have over 200 new dresses and we will exchange for one you love! Ok great made appointment and went an hour and half drive up there, got in shop and was automatically turned off by the smell and very low dull lighting of shop. Tried on 12 us dresses and nothing fit right or was "the one" after literally bawling my eyes out and demanding a full refund of dress which was $899 plus tax and belt that I bought for dress only. The owner agreed to refund of dress but staff there was rude in saying you will only be refunded for dress at this point of being mad and very wrongly treated I just wanted to leave because now I had to find a new dress in less that 6 weeks til wedding. I was told it would take 3-5 business days for refund ok so I waited and nothing after a week I called and left messages and text and no one would return my call. So my best friend had to call off another number that the ship didn't know as they were avoiding my call the whole time and inform them that her attorney was now involved to get them to call me. So after I was told and sent a picture of return of dress I finally received the refund 4 days later and it was only for $899 not sales tax. How can you refund amount of a product bought but not full refund of the whole price?? Well I am telling all my friends and family that this place is a shitty place to buy a dress and I have made a claim with BBB too. Horrible service, liars, and frauds! Do NOT SHOP HERE!!! read more

I went to Belle Bridal / the Formal Shoppe to get measured for a tux for my son's wedding. Everyone else had rented their tuxes online. I decided to "support local" and rent mine from the Formal Shoppe. I couldn't have been more disappointed. The first tux showed up and IDK who it was meant for - but not me. Pants were huge. Jacket was way too big in the chest and sleeves too short. They remeasured me and had a new tux sent overnight which I appreciated. On the Wedding Day, I got dressed and realized the pants were 4" too short. Grossly too short. I couldn't wear them. I felt terrible for my son that I would just be wearing slacks and a shirt. I didn't even have a tie with me. Out of sheer luck, one of my sons had an extra pair of tux pants since he had had an issues as well. I ended up wearing his pants, my tux shirt that was still larger than a perfect fit and the vest to pull it together. The jacket was still too boxy to feel comfortable in a day when you want to look sharp. Worst $240 I've ever spent. I did get an apology but no offer of reimbursement or partial reimbursement. More disappointment. I'll shop online next time. read more

There was only one person working and I wasn't allowed to try on dresses by myself so we left. Rearranged my whole day and planned timing with my grandmother so she could make it. Not a fan. No privacy when trying on dresses as if I need help. Would prefer to go to the dressing room alone than with someone who just started working there and has absolutely no idea what they are doing. Some ppl prefer to change in privacy in the dressing room. I'm not 2 yrs old. Both workers have neither been married and have very little knowledge about weddings. Lacks professionalism and actual help picking out a dress and when ur short on time to get a dress, then u have to buy off the rack the sizes that they have because it takes 4-6 months to order a dress in ur size. I went to David's Bridal in Lynwood. Privacy in the changing room. A little more help picking out dresses and they have a seamstress at the store to answer ur alteration questions which is helpful. And I ordered dress in my size and it took 4 weeks. Hmmm. Never go to Belle Bridal. read more

I decided to go down South to check out some variety of the small selection here in Vancouver. Belle is conveniently located in downtown Bellingham (street parking is free on weekends). I walked into a well organized and well staffed store. The sales lady was helpful and attentive. There was no pressure to make a purchase, and they happily recorded the information pertaining to the dress I liked and sent me on my way. I'll be buying my dress from here for sure. read more

Went in with a friend to look at dresses. Store was empty. Got the once-over from all 3 ladies at the desk before one asked what we were looking for. I told her the style of wedding dress I was after, and she said they only had one of that kind in the back. We took our shoes off (yes, weird), and she showed me the one she was referring to. As I was looking at it, I spotted another of the same style, and commented on it. The saleslady acted completely disinterested. She eventually left us to peruse by ourselves. I left wondering how many other dresses in the style I wanted were in the store, but she just didn't care enough to show them to me. We booked an appointment a couple weeks ago to come in and try on bridesmaid dresses. The one person working was absolutely terrible. She barley said 2 words to us the entire time we were there, never offered to help us, give us suggestions, pull dresses - NOTHING! We drove down to David's Bridal - walked in with no appointment and received excellent service. Clearly nothing has changed with Belle bridal since the last time I had awful service in there back in the mid 90's. Also on a side note - the place is so outdated and dirty! Here's a timeline of the fiasco we're still dealing with: January--We go in to get fitted for a Friday March wedding. They promise the tuxes will arrive Monday. Monday--The shop has not even placed an order for the tuxes yet. Tuesday--We are told the tuxes will arrive on Thursday at 1pm. Thursday--The suits arrive at 4pm. Nothing fits. We arrange for overnight replacements. They promise to call when the replacements come. Friday--An hour before pictures, we still have no call. We go to a competitor and are outfitted in 30 minutes. We return Belle Bridal's suits. Saturday: We ask for a refund. They refuse. Enough said. read more

We walked into Belle Bridal to look at a bridal dress for our daughter. Not impressed with the service. We were told strongly we needed an appointment to try on dresses. Really? No one was in the place. We decided then to glance at a few wedding dresses hanging up. NO WAY! $1500 for a dress that looked like ones you could find at David's Bridal for less than 1/2 the price. BTW. The shop also needs to modernize. It made one feel like you were in a dark bomb shelter. Anyways, we left and just for the sake of it we decided to visit the consignment bridal shop "Gown & Glove Bridal Consignment" on Cornwall Ave. We walked in and a sweet lady greeted us. She had a lot of dresses to view. Our daughter tried on 5 dresses. The last was it! A beautiful Lady Eleanor dress from David's Bridal that somebody turned in. It was gorgeous on our daughter. It had pearls and sequins on it with lace. She fell in love with it. We got the dress for under $300. We later found the same dress on the internet. It had originally sold for over $1000. Yes, we will remember this little consignment shop. Our daughter might need a short dress for the reception. read more

We just picked up my daughters dress and I have to say while she loves the dress, I was not impressed with the serve. The young lady who helped while we picked it up was just MEH. The sale was done and nothing extra from her to do. We needed a veil and she didn't seem too interested. Also, we were the only people in there, after driving over 2 hours, and she put us in the smallest dressing room. Would have been nice to be in front of the big mirror. My daughter left not loving the dress she thought she did when we purchased it from the wedding expo. I will say the dress was a bit big and is costing us $480 to alter. That's almost 75% of what we paid for the dress. No suit for the husband. And when I asked to put our over $700 dress in something besides a cheap clear plastic bag, they wanted to charge $21 for a cheap clothe garment bag. You'll think they would give it for free. And I don't care if other bridal salons do that. Your cheap garment bag that you purchase from China for maybe $5, would be a nice thing to just give the bride. It also promotes where the dress came from, free advertising. We ended up getting a veil from David Bridal and a garment bag. They wanted our sale more I guess. After telling others about our experience, they said to me, "What did you expect from Bellingham." read more

Went to Belle Bridal to find my fiance's pants and vest for our wedding in a month. We had a certain (not to formal) look we were trying to achieve. After meeting with Nicole and showing her our ideas she was honest and told us she didn't have what we were looking for. Instead of turning us away she told us to go get the fabric we liked from Joann's Fabric, grab some buttons and bring it back and her seamstress would make it for us. We are getting married in less than a month and will now have exactly what we want. I appreciated her honesty and for the mere fact she didn't try to sell us on something we didn't want. read more

I did get one of my wedding dresses from them. I understand why it is shoes off but i do not understand why it is good manors off. I am a size 10 bride to be... i know i am not skinny but i am not Fat nor am i some poor person who is just playing around. I went back a second time and had a wonderful person helping me try on dresses and her humor and her open mind and mouth shutting (if you have been there you know the one lady with the mouth and they look she can give you that turns you to ice),she really made me feel like i was buying a dress that i liked and looked good in. I at first had a pretty weird unpleasant experience trying on wedding dresses in September but found one that I loved so ended up ordering it. I got to the shop Saturday and the dress didn't fit my body at all- the manufacturer was one that had a very small size 12 standard- so I was frustrated and didn't really know what to do. Thankfully the gal that was working (Seneeka spelling I don't know) she was absolutely amazing and helped me find a dress that was even better than the first, didn't make me feel bad about the dress not fitting and made sure that I was happy before I left the shop. I walked out with a beautiful perfectly fitting dress! I am happy that I had seneeka and she's great! One suggestion would be have more than one person working on a Saturday! read more

Worst service ever. My friends and I just went in to find my friend a dress for her special day. Three women working in there, and they barely said hi to us. My friend tried on multiple dresses and not one of them came to the other side to offer help. When she chose a dress to purchase, they acted irritated to answer her questions. She ended up buying the dress, since she is pressed for time, but I will never enter this store again. Unbelievable. I hope the owner knows how their staff is treating patrons. This is the WORST wedding dress shopping experience I've come across! The manager only showed me 2 dresses that were on the sale rack. Then while dressing me in the first dress she said, "it's a good thing you have a year before your wedding, you have time to lose weight." I was so shocked I didn't even know what to say! I was out of there in under 15 mins. Do not go there!!! Alicia's bridal is right up the street and they are much more helpful and kind! She lacks some serious customer service skills. read more

Went in without an appointment and they took the time to show me several dresses. Gave me kind but honest advice and brought in the alterations person to show me what could be done on the dress I loved. I purchased a dress there and they were nothing but helpful in all of my appointments. I danced too hard at my reception and the heel of my shoe (that I bought at Belle) broke; they refunded my money for the shoes with no hassle whatsoever. They didn't feel too hover-y as I've seen at other stores and everyone I worked with was accommodating and knowledgeable. Would definitely be back if I ever needed another wedding dress...something I don't plan on. :) read more

Very pushy. They had this attitude like their store was the only one worth going to. I'm not sure if they work on commission but they were pushing the more expensive gowns. They don't pin the dresses to give you a better idea of what it would look like. They also had this preconceived notion that I was going to buy my dress from them. I'm glad I went in for the experience of what not to do. Plus they make you take your shoes off in a carpeted area...the least they could do is offer something to cover your feet if you have sandals on! The women were very nice but didn't help beyond pointing us in the direction of the dresses in my price range, after that we were left alone to grab dresses and figure out the sizing and styles. I wasn't able to find anything in my style - they all seemed very blingy or over-the-top to me and I ended up finding my perfect dress elsewhere. I went in with several soon to be brides in the past (20 years ago) and that owner was snobby! I think she cloned herself into some of the other attendants also. I had an amazing experience from start to finish, while shopping around for my wedding dress. Sineka, one of the associates, has been nothing short of amazing. My mom, aunt, and I went in there to try on dresses, she helped me get into the gown, took pictures for us, helped match colors for bridesmaid dresses, all while training a new associate. Her attention to detail and honest opinion helped me say "yes" to the dress. Fast forward 6 months, and a couple times in and out of Belle to get flower girl dresses, and she is always there. She greets me by name, updates me on the status of my gown, and remembers the smallest, seemingly insignificant details. I picked up my gown this last Saturday (7/6) and she knew exactly where my gown was, grabbed it, and said that it was going to look perfect with the red cowgirl boots I had wore to my first fitting almost 7 months ago.
