When our server did arrive, her service was swift. I hate it when servers do not write down orders. A wrong entree was served. The runner who delivered the meals read the tkt to us - our server had completely botched the order for Thai chicken and entered salmon. It was replaced swiftly and the salmon was comp'd and boxed for take-out. Food arrived swiftly. My ribeye was tasty and properly prepared, served warm-ish. This was NOT a steakhouse quality steak - maybe 5/8th inch thick. Maybe. The broccoli was steamed and kind'a, sort'a warm-ish. The mashed potatoes were delightful - again, warm-ish. I had to ask for a refill of my beverage. TAP is a sports bar with a sports bar vibe and sound level. Not my choice, but I was a good guest and did not fuss. When it was time to leave; I was a bit lost. 0:3 security workers were able to direct me to the parking garage's west entrance. Will I return? Only if others insist that I join them.

It's easy to book the rooms and check your FreePlay through the PennPlay app. I don't spend a ton of money gambling so I'm impressed with the free rooms I've been given. The views are fantastic. On this last staycation I had a corner room on the 30th floor overlooking the entire city. You could see Comerica Park, Ford Field and Little Caesars Arena from the panoramic window. The parking structure is right off of 375 and Lafayette. Get a PennPlay players card and parking is always free. Hollywood Greektown is in the heart of everything. All the great restaurants and bars down in Greektown are just steps away. The convenient and safe parking structure take you right into the casino and I've never had to worry about my safety or my vehicle while I'm there. The casino gaming floor is set up in old Trappers Alley and they preserved the looks. Pegasus Taverna is still there and connected to the casino. The second floor allows smoking so if that's not your thing the entire first floor is smoke free. I like the bartenders at the second floor bar. They always have a smile on their face. I'm a video poker and slot player mainly and the selection of games are great. They also have all the table games too.

Gelita, the server was also very nice and attentive. She's the only one I saw walking around with a tray serving drinks. Chris, at the table with Bre was also kind. It was our first time at that casino, however, we will not be back due to the fact that most of the workers were rude plus they still allow people to smoke cigarettes. It smells terrible inside. I only gave five stars because Bre, Gelita and Chris were awesome. We filled out a customer review form and I hope this company treats them like humans should be treated. They are very valuable assets to the company. I gave 3 stars vs one due to the fact that those employees mentioned above were kind. Otherwise, it would have been a one star review.

The coffee shop had some of the best desserts for afterwards! We had the Biscoff cupcake and the lemon meringue pie slice. The service from Michael and Anthony was Superbly professional and attentive especially since we had someone in our party needing a wheelchair!! The view of the city was good from the floor our room was on. The room had Starbucks coffee- regular and decaf, a sharp looking mini fridge and hvac system and a 3 part bathroom- a glass door shower, a tub with a Clou bathtub faucet, and a makeup room with a DECOLAV Kloey model vessel sink. Service was excellent and the room needed more work, but our stay was great nonetheless!

We arrived around 4:30pm and found a fairly long line at check-in, but the four ladies working the front desk kept things moving efficiently and got everyone checked in quickly. As part of the check-in process, we were given the option to forgo housekeeping in exchange for a $20 credit that could be used at the hotel's restaurants or bar, which we took advantage of Our room was on the 21st floor but it had only a single small window with no view. The room itself was comfortable and clean, though the decor was a bit sterile and lacking in character. The shower was excellent, with plenty of hot water and good water pressure. Overall, it was a comfortable stay and the convenience of the location made it a great base for exploring Detroit.

I would definitely recommend this place.

You've got to be prepared as a business to accommodate. We arrived about 2 hours before check in. The hotel is a bit odd as you park on the main level but the actually lobby is on 3. I left my daughter in the car before knowing this. The valet opened my front door and asked my teen daughter where I went. As I'm at registration, there is one person working the elite desk and another person working a counter at the complete opposite side of the lobby. As stated earlier - chaos and this is how it was staffed. Pro - we opted for a king room and were able to get into a room immediately. Parking is next door and $25/day. Not bad for downtown parking. We quickly got to our room. I was shocked that there were no charging ports for phones/devices. My fault for not being prepared with actual plug in chargers. Pro - the view is pretty. We could see the river, Canada and all the downtown lights sparkling from our room. Con - the elevators are scary and many times you feel like you are on a rocky cruise boat. (There are 70 floors to the hotel and we were on 59). Lobby - there's a market and a restaurant/bar. They had what appeared to be one bartender when we had drinks in the afternoon. I'm not sure what happened, but she was one of the most UNFRIENDLY and unprofessional bartenders. She was mad we were ordering from the bar, she didn't want us leaving our tab open for fear we'd leave without closing out and create more work, she got mad that she made a drink wrong, she cussed about a fellow employee as she walked past us and then refused to serve someone because she stated we had a server (nobody ever approached us). This was all during a timeframe of 45-60 minutes. The place was clearly not staffed appropriately but the hostility was geared to the wrong parties. We were paying customers who were nothing but patient. Pro - proximity to Huntington Place is close. The walk is pretty and it appears to be safe. I was not able to venture any further from the property but the location does appear to be quite great. Overall the hotel really needs to work on staffing. There was another large event taking place at the hotel and the hotel just seemed way off from being able to handle things accordingly.

I'd say the room was a bit on the smaller side compared to other hotels I've stayed at, but it's good enough for one night in my opinion. For longer stays, I'd maybe stay elsewhere if size matters. Very comfortable beds. Friendly staff at the check in who will go above and beyond to ensure your stay is comfortable. The washroom is quite small compared to other hotels I've stayed in recently. Slow elevators. Ideal location in Downtown Windsor. Also, BEWARE OF NOISE! Soundproofing at this hotel does not seem to be a thing! The weekend I was staying here, it was very rowdy outside at around 2-3am. There is a nightclub nearby this hotel which means people will be out and about being drunk, resulting in louder and crazier behaviour from yelling and screaming to cars loudly and aggressively driving by. This resulted in my inability to sleep, but this is not the hotel's fault in any way. The hotel does provide free earplugs for you as a way to deal with the noise. Would I stay here again? Well... yes, I would, but if I had another option, I would stay elsewhere the next time I'm in the Windsor area. So it's really up to you whether or not to stay here.
