I returned to get my test results, this time there was more than one doctor available and no patients in the waiting room. The last time I was there (please see my previous review), there were at least 15 people ahead of me and only one doctor, so that meant waiting 3 1/2 hours before I could see a doctor. This time there was no waiting time at all.
When I saw doctor Fu** (I'm not using the full name of the doctor to avoid being sued) to get my test results, he informed me that I had high cholesterol levels. This is nothing new to me, I explained to him that I had been told this since I was 15 and I am 50 now. I also bluntly stated that I was not interested in going on cholesterol reducing pharmaceutical drugs for the rest of my life. My reason for seeing this doctor was not related to cholesterol, but for other issues.
After that conversation the good doctor lost all interest in my issues. I have been having pain in my testicles for several months and I simply would like to know what is causing this. He said he could not see anything wrong with me and could not answer my question. He informed me that he was going to attempt to refer me to a urologist, when I asked him for more information about this, he further explained that there was a chance the urologist would not see me because his report would indicate that he could not find anything wrong with me. He also suggested several times that I was free to see 2 or 3 other doctors, but it was not likely I would be able to get an appointment with a urologist for this problem...
I attempted to ask the good doctor what I should do next to find out why my testicles where hurting. He asked me to stop talking, then proceeded to type his report for about 3 or 4 minutes while I sat silently, then he got up and walked out. I followed him into the hallway and attempted to ask him to explain these test results, but he refused, stating that it was all there in writing. When I got home, I attempted to make sense of the papers he gave me, but it was highly technical stuff and I have no idea what it means or what to look for... Also, I took many other tests at the doctor's suggestions, xrays, and others. I never got the results of these tests, only the blood test results related to elevated cholesterol issues.
I'm not sure why the doctor's behavior changed, he seemed to be completely different from my last visit. Was it because of my last review, because I refused to go on cholesterol meds, or was he just having a bad day...
The receptionists were great, just like the last time I was there. I didn't appreciate the way the doctor treated me, he showed very little concern for my problem and came across as somewhat arrogant. I will not be returning to this location and I do not recommend it. It's hard enough to talk about this issue without having to deal with an arrogant doctor. read more
