UPDATE: I was contacted by the owner, Josh, who had me come in to repair my color. He couldn't have been more gracious and we spent the morning laughing while he gave me the color I wanted in the first place and even better! Plus, he trimmed my hair which I didn't expect. I live in a state where salons are closed due to Covid. So when I realized that I could get my hair cut and colored while I was visiting Sioux City I booked at Belle. Stacey at the 4th street location followed my requests and made recommendations that I didn't even know that I wanted! Her highlight/lowlight technique looks natural and the product that she used left my hair feeling healthy and appears shiny. I stopped for a quick trim since my routine stylist was out of town. I wouldn't take my dog to them. Their "Stylist" thinned hair all over the crown of my head to 1 inch. The rest is 3-4" and the 1" stubble sticks out like crazy. Absolutely embarrassing! Avoid downtown shop! read more

The stylist I was supposed to have had an emergency so the receptionist told me Bob would be great and actually probably better. She called it a happy accident. She lied. Bob "specializes in men's hair; I found this out later. I have thick hair and I told him this. I wanted highlights and I have him pictures to show him exactly what I was looking for. Before any hairdressers come on saying people expect the impossible; know this. My Mother and sister were hairdressers and taught as well; so don't bother making that claim. Bob, mixed small amounts of product at a time, leaving me at least 7 times to mix more. In the meantime I was over processing. I tried to tell him what he was doing would damage my hair but he would not listen. I was tired from work and trying not to be aggressive. This was in March. It's June and my hair is so burnt, it has to be cut short. I've tried all kinds of products to try and keep my length as I was frowning my hair out for my son's wedding. I was supposed to get a proper blow out and curl. He barely blew it dry and then told me he was done because it took so long to do my hair that he was late with his next 2 appointments. He still charged for the entire appointment even though he didn't complete it or do it right. I told them I was not satisfied but never received a call. The other stylists were turning out beautiful work. Lesson: of you have long hair, don't use Bob. read more

I've been getting brazilian waxes in big cities, so when I came back to Sioux City for a couple of months and needed to find a place I was terrified. There aren't a lot of options in the area so I went with Belle Touche. I was surprised at how nice the spa is and I was sooo pleased with my wax. The estecian was confident in her abilities, but I was still a bit scared. Once she began though, I felt at ease. One of the better waxes I've had! It lasted 8 weeks!!! read more

I seriously love this place. The most upscale salon and spa in town (especially for the price!) Floor to ceiling windows, crystal chandeliers, original wood floors... It's BEAUTIFUL. Be sure to use their free parking in back, if visiting on weekdays. Weekend parking is free anywhere! I saw Lisa for my hair cut and color. I have extremely full, curly hair, so I was relieved to see Lisa has the same. She knew exactly how to whip my curls into shape! I am new to Sioux City and have gotten a couple bikini line waxes from Lauren at the Loft. She does a thorough job, uses both wax strips and blue hard was, is very friendly, and makes the experience as comfortable as she can. Her schedule fills up quickly so call in advance. I went to the Body & Soul Salon and Spa for a full Brazilian. Molly did my waxing and she did an AMAZING job! She walked me through everything she was doing, why she was doing it, and how to care for my skin afterward. She has been doing this for years and it definitely shows! She made sure to prep the skin and hair, use the correct type of wax, she didn't rip off any skin, got ALL the hair (I'm glad she's a perfectionist), and after the whole process was over I wasn't hurting. She experimented to find the best way to wax me with the least amount of pain. An added plus is that she's a very sweet woman to talk to. She made the complete experience pleasant and worthwhile. When I left, I felt great, sexy, and clean. I was so excited and happy with the results! :) The salon is very clean inside and appealing -- also an added plus. I wouldn't go any other place even though it cost me $85 because of my thick hair ($70 min.) plus $10 for tip (I should have tipped more because my experience was amazing)! read more

Let me start off by saying the stylist Myra did a great job, the hair style came out wonderful. There was some miscommunication with this salon. I went with 2 little girls to get their hair done for a wedding. On the phone I was quoted a price of $33...but ended up paying $80 per child b/c I apparently got a "bridal updo" for two little 6 year old girls. The stylist never told me that if she did the style I requested it would cost that much. I am sure she had no record of what I called and requested (once again a communication issue). Also Zach at the front desk called in the morning saying one of the stylist called in sick and if we could bring one child in early. We figured out a way and we did bring her in early. She did not get her hair washed which was promised to us b/c that would cause a delay, but whatever we understand that, but we still had to pay full price. Zach did not greet us when we walked in, did not say thank you for coming early (we did the salon a favor), and did not say good bye to us when we left. When he told me the price I told him I was quoted $33..and he said b/c it was an updo it was $80. Never once apologized for the miscommunication, or offered any explanation for the cost. I think what struck me most was his complete ignorance of us during our visit there. We were visiting from out of town and so maybe he thought there was no need to be nice. I would not go to this salon if we ever visit Sioux City. If you are doing any type of styling you as the customer must make sure all the communication btw everyone is correct b/c they do not communicate with each other apparently. read more
