For those who know me, know my OCD is off the hook. It's very rare that I trust someone to do the…read moredishes for me let alone permanently tattoo something on my face for the world to see. LaToya totally eased all my anxiety and OCD-related worries about getting permanent brows done by fully including me in the process. Without even knowing about my anxiety and my OCD brain, the first thing she did was hand me a mirror and said, "Hold that mirror the whole time because you will be consulted about everything I do every step of the way." This immediately eased my mind. During the mapping process, LaTota asked all of the right questions such as "Do you like your eyebrows thick or thin?" "Do you like more of an arch or less of an arch" "Do you like the tail more or less tapered?" I showed her some of my own pictures where I liked the way my brows looked and she completely recreated the way I do my brows by just some of those simple questions. She used her expertise to map out the perfect shape of my eyebrows and opened it up for suggestions on how I may have wanted them to be adjusted. With no hesitation, she made the adjustments I requested (and even went back and fixed some of the less favorable adjustments I asked for. Lol). I do have to add that I have a complicated eye brow piercing and she actually tattooed it exactly the way I usually do my brows just by my feedback. LaToya has the patience of a saint and the best vibes ever!!! Throughout the tattooing phase, she gave me some colors to choose from and let me test each color on my skin. The one she suggested based off of her professional expertise was actually the one I loved the most. She checked for comfort throughout the tattooing, I didn't need any breaks because #1 she did a good job with the numbing cream, #2 I'm used to tattoos, and #3 after each pass through of darkening the eyebrows, she had me check in the mirror to make sure I was happy with the result. In the end, LaToya made sure to give extra special notice to touching up anything she felt necessary and provided everything I needed to leave comfortably. Her attention to detail, expertise, professionalism, warm and welcoming demeanor, and positive and inclusive vibe was much more than I could have ever asked for in a Master Paramedical Tattoo Artist. I can't wait to see her and work with her again at my follow up!!! The best part about all this, I'M SO HAPPY THAT I DON'T HAVE TO DO MY BROWS EVERYDAY AND THAT I DON'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT SWEATING/RANDOMLY WIPING THEM OFF ANYMORE!!! P.S. Well this afternoon I thought I'd finally try out this threading place by my house. I had never had my eyebrows threaded, but I doubted it could hurt more than waxing. Oh wow was I impressed, sure it hurts a little, but I thought it was WAY better than sitting through a wax and then those terrible tedious tweezers. And the temple message at the end? Oh I could have fallen asleep in that chair. I was in and out in less than 15 minutes, maybe even less than 10. It's been about an hour since I had them done and my redness is already fading and I'm not sore or tender at all. *happy sigh* I have definitely found my new favorite place to shear these sheep that are my eyebrows. Oh! And it's only a dollar more than getting them done at the nail salon. Total win.
