This market is within walking distance of the county courthouse in Franklin. It's open Saturdays 8 am - noon.

Finding parking was also a breeze thanks to the location.

Located in the heart of downtown Lafayette, you'll find dozens of vendors selling everything from plants and fresh baked croissants to candles and produce. It's a great mix of vendors with plenty of produce for those looking to prepare for the week ahead. They also often have live music to set the mood and if I remember correctly, the market is dog-friendly. 5 stars. He took me…read moreon a date to pick strawberries!!! How sweet! (Pun intended!) The fields were very wet/muddy, so I was glad he told me to wear shoes I didn't mind getting dirty. The hay ride over to the fields was slow and easy. The driver even offered to snap a picture for us. We picked just short of a full bucket. It came to about $20. They spoil fast, so have a plan! Don't just pop them in the fridge. Then, we went inside the store and grabbed a cantaloupe and some hard cider. The strawberry hard cider was perfection. It was like drinking a fresh strawberry. One of the best ciders I've had - top 3, easy! He said the cantaloupe was great, too! I grabbed a few stickers for my scrapbook and a magnet for his fridge at the little store in the porch. And oh!... don't miss the cider donuts! The plain are best. The icing was waaaay too sweet for me, Overall a fantastic outing! We will do it again!
