Despite other orchards/pumpkin patches absolutely price gouging families, Anderson Orchard remains the same and reasonably priced. Hours for September and October: 8am-8pm (or dark) We drove from Noblesville, I was so happy they were still open! Plenty to do for the kids, playground, bounce houses, straw pile, photo ops. They offer U-pick apples & Pumpkins or if you're in a hurry they're ready to grab from the red barn. Pumpkins are super reasonably priced at $.40 a Lb or pie pumpkins for $3. The concession stand is open on Saturday & Sunday. I love the fried biscuits with apple butter & of course you must get the apple cider slushies!! I don't remember seeing it prior, but they had apple cobbler warmed up with ice cream, delicious! I just love this place so much! Don't leave without a bag of apples, Carmel apples, apple cider & get some of those fried biscuits! Highly recommend bringing the whole family.

It was nice that they didn't charge to come to the grounds and pay just to be there. Would definitely come again.

Parking can get tight very quickly so come early if you want a good spot. The vibe at this market is so friendly and people having a good time, very pet friendly too, I loved seeing so many of the dogs!!! There's something for everyone at the market, I do wish they had another coffee vendor come through because the line at Hubbard and Cravens was long! BRFM is the place to go for sure!

I like going to Farm Markets this time of year because Indiana's produce is in season and I can…read moreshop local. The Broad Ripple Farmers Market is quite an operation. We arrived ten minutes before opening to find a line of about 200 people waiting to enter. These people are serious shoppers that come equipped with carts, wagons and armfuls of bags. Seventy or so vendors are organized by produce, crafts, baked goods and prepared foods. Long lines of shoppers form quickly outside popular produce vendors, making it difficult to shop. The regulars know exactly where they want to go. If you see something you want, you need to buy it quickly or it's gone. The produce was locally grown and beautiful in most booths. Prices were high, in general, but shoppers were not deterred. I picked up some beautiful and reasonably priced eggplant. But I draw the line at $6 pints of cherry tomatoes. Several vendors were selling fresh baked goods. Bakeries from around central Indiana were present. I saw breads, muffins, cookies and more. I was intrigued by sourdough bread and bought a loaf. Music plays at a central location. Tables and chairs fill up quickly with coffee drinkers and people sampling the various food selections. We had trouble finding a seat to eat my breakfast pizza. People had dogs on leashes, lots of dogs. Personally, I prefer not to have dogs at the markets because they stick their noses in the food. Don't get me wrong, I'm a dog lover, but I leave mine at home. Parking fills quickly and we found backing out of our space to exit a challenge as cars kept coming. Some people park over in the mall parking and walk, which might be easier. I did not see rest rooms or other amenities. I think it's probably easier to shop after you have been a few times to the market and know exactly what you want. Bring a hand cart.

LOL Nice local spot with plenty of veggies, apple cider and many more things offered. I would love to go back when the weather is a little bit better so we can pick. Would I go back? Yes, I would give them repeat business, everyone was extremely nice and accomodating.

The hay ride over to the fields was slow and easy. The driver even offered to snap a picture for us. We picked just short of a full bucket. It came to about $20. They spoil fast, so have a plan! Don't just pop them in the fridge. Then, we went inside the store and grabbed a cantaloupe and some hard cider. The strawberry hard cider was perfection. It was like drinking a fresh strawberry. One of the best ciders I've had - top 3, easy! He said the cantaloupe was great, too! I grabbed a few stickers for my scrapbook and a magnet for his fridge at the little store in the porch. And oh!... don't miss the cider donuts! The plain are best. The icing was waaaay too sweet for me, Overall a fantastic outing! We will do it again!
