Idk what yall changed in recent years but these new skates are unwearable. I know my feet may be crooked but this is not a me thing. Everyone around me was complaining and left with either a blister or a bruise in the same spot. I was forced to use tissues as padding and move the tongue of the skate all the way to the side and it still hurt. If this is a way to get people to leave earlier because it's too crowded, well played and it worked because I will never come back!

I went with a friend of mine and her kids ages 5 & 10. We went on a Saturday at around 9. They had just done their reicing/Zamboni machine run at 830 pm so there wasn't too much of a delay getting onto the ice. There was a small line leading up the the first room where you pay and get your skates. They also have gloves, but we brought our own. It took about 20 minutes or so to get to the cash register which takes cash and credit with no refunds. Make sure you wear socks and possibly bring a second pair as the skates can be a little gross inside with a little mildew smell. It's to be expected since a little ice and moisture probably gets in the skates throughout the day. Also, don't wear your best shoes going and try not to bring your purse or a lot of belongings in. There are lockers to lock up your stuff but most people just leave their shoes on the floor underneath the benches. I'm not sure if there is anyone supervising the area to prevent stolen shoes. This place claims to be the largest in the area but it's actually slightly smaller than average. I wished there was more room to spread out. Please be mindful of your kids because there are a lot of "show offs" that whizz on by, go in the wrong direction, fall down on purpose, ....let's just says there's a lot of horsing around. There are supervisors on the ice to make sure people are somewhat civil but if you have a kid that very novice, the more expert skaters may not care as much and push them out of the way or run into them which will probably make your kid fall down and possibly hurt themself. But, of course this is a holiday skating rink so everyone is trying to have fun and some without regard to other's safety. I believe you can skate as long as you want for entrance fee. A cheap way to have fun. All in all we had a wonderful time. The littlest one learned how to skate as it was her first time and we got some great photos for the album. So I'm writing this review a little late, it's Tuesday and my family and I visited the ice rink on Saturday 1/5/2019 we decided to avoid the crowds of Christmas and Newyears, and go in the weekend after. Boy that was a great decision!! No line, plenty of space for you to sit down and lace up those skates!! With a cute little beverage and snacks counter just a few feet away. Keep in mind, those beverages are 3$ for a bottle water, and 4.50$ or 5$ for a hot chocolate. I must add though the hot cocoa was rather pricey it was soooo GOOD a mountain of whipped cream with chocolate drizzle and little chocolate flakes. So worth it. The have lockers you can purchase but we just left our shoes on the side lines and they were safe . **For you Ladies!** Wear a side bag or a cute fanny so you can skate freely without having to purchase a locker. I used my side purse and was able to hold my wallet and phone to capture fun moments. There was lots of children and lots of families which was nice to see since we were all in the same boat of trying to teach our kids to skate. It was a sight to see, and at times you couldn't hear the music because of the laughter shared amongst friends and strangers. KINDESS** The acts of kindness I seen from strangers helping other strangers on the ice was heart warming. I'm not talking about kids falling and people helping them, I'm talking about grown adults taking a spill and strangers (who know how to skate) come over and assist. Also seen some people shake hands and maybe they became friends. All I know is We went in on the Perfect night and I hope everyone else has a great experience as my family and I did

When we walked in, the bouncer was sitting just inside the door. I had my ID ready expecting him to check it. We told him we were thinking about going into the rink but wanted to take a look first. He immediately got dismissive and said there was a cover charge. When I asked if we could just peek inside before deciding, he sarcastically said "would a night club just let you take a look if they were charging a cover?" Like that was not already obvious enough, he then went out of his way to mock the way we asked the question and told us he would have let us in if we had just asked differently. We were not trying to get in for free or cause any trouble. We were a group of women just looking to have a fun night out. To be spoken to that way, especially in front of my mom and her friends, was completely uncalled for. I will not be returning as long as this person is working the door.

After about 9:30 PM it got pretty packed, but the vibe was still awesome. Everyone was friendly, doing their own thing, and very respectful. I held onto the railing most of the time and definitely fell a couple of times , but people gave space and were super encouraging Overall, this is a fun spot even for beginners. Good energy, great crowd, lots of laughs -- would totally go again!

However, it was pretty clean and the rink is well maintained. They have both rollerskates and rollerblades in an extensive size range, including kids sizes. They also have elbow pads, wrist guards, and knee pads that you can borrow for free. I saw them actively sanitizing skates after use, which was good to see. I think the $20 feet is a bit steep, but not terribly unreasonable. The staff was nice, they could've been a little more energetic but overall they were doing a good job. I liked the music selection, a good mix of everything! The flashing lights were a little intense for me, but it added to the atmosphere which I can appreciate. We decided to come here and while he was doing his tournament we would bowl and maybe skate and play some billiards. However, for two lanes, the total for 7 people it cost us $350 in total to bowl. What a total rip off! My son didn't even get matching shoes, the balls provided had many chips, and one of our consoles was not even working properly! When we told them of the problem they were not helpful at all. We just dealt with it. The skating rink was also very smelly and smelled like feet and the billiards tables were poorly kept as well as the sticks provided. For the price we paid the bowling wasn't even exciting as it wasn't even cosmic bowling. I can't believe people actually go here! We will not be coming back here to bowl, skate or play billiards!

During a freestyle session earlier this year, Coach Vlad-- a rude and disrespectful coach they still allow to teach despite his unprofessional conduct-- directed the skater he was coaching to skate into my jump line several times in ways that posed a danger to both me and her. This was his way of trying to intimidate me off the ice as five minutes later he brusquely told me he needed the "whole ice surface" for his skater and forced me to move to a small corner. I found out later that he was coaching his daughter and find it massively unfair that despite the fact that we both paid the same exact cost for the freestyle session she somehow was more entitled to the ice. I had initially tried to resolve this over email with the skating director Ashley who was also rude, unprofessional, and did not respond in a timely manner. In fact, she hasn't even responded to the last email I sent her. And during our correspondence, in the most weirdly petty mean-girl move, she copied my private skating coach on the email as though to try and get me in trouble with her, which did not work because my coach is a mature adult. I am so disappointed in this experience from Sno-King Snoqualmie, it sucks that I have to drive extra to Renton, but I would much rather skate with their community and there's a reason why so many other skaters feel the same way. I refuse to skate somewhere that allows male coaches to be egregiously disrespectful in dangerous ways to young female skaters with no remorse. Especially with so many young women in this sport, Sno-King should be empowering us. Allowing Coach Vlad to give preferential treatment to his daughter at the cost of others' practice time and safety isn't professional or ethical.

Very good family friendly spot and they do what they can with the space they have. The only downside is the consistent lack of food/snacks/games. 1/3 or or more of the very few games they have are ALWAYS out of order. The food is not always good and very often sold out as they don't make much during sessions -they mostly reserve the pizza just for the rooms. The candy machines are awful - all the decent stuff is regularly empty and the full sided candy they offer is about 3-4x the size price (i.e., the really small bag of lays is $3). Plus I once bought a candy bar there for my kid and the chocolate looked and tasted old, which means their stock rarely moves. Also, would be great if they offered some adult beverages on tap. FYI, it's never a "true" experience here unless u catch a glimpse of the older white gentlemen casually solo out dancing everyone on the rink. I think I will nickname him "White Lightning".
