After X-rays and CT scan they finally cleared me to see my husband whose burns had not been addressed (and would ultimately never be addressed before transferring him) in the 4 hours we were separated. My husband also experienced a seizure while having a CT scan and was basically held down and just told to get through it. He was later transferred to Toledo Promedica which was the same but bigger but that's another story. Very displease with our care and the huge gaps between being seen/checked on. It is quite obvious they do not have enough staff covering the ER and the ones that were there didn't seem all too competent. Having been in healthcare myself for over a decade, I was appalled with the patient care and bedside manner. Do not go here if you can help it, Fisher Titus in Norwalk or hell go all the way to Cleveland Clinic.

A gentleman was in line before me. They refused to get him in because they said after 2:30 they don't accept patients and the doctor was behind on current patients. He was obviously in pain with a cane an injured leg. I said my son's nose was bleeding profusely and she had absolutely no reaction what do ever! I stormed out of the office and took advantage of their restroom to try and clean up the blood that was all over my son! What a joke this place is! Isn't that what urgent care is for? She offered me nothing to help stop the bleeding and didn't direct me to a different place to get him taken care of. And what's with no appointments after 2:30? It's open until 3pm on Sundays. I don't care about not getting in. I'm upset because there was no care or concern from the lady at the desk for us or the gentleman before us. She should be ashamed of her actions! If you have chronic illness(es) they do not like to listen to you and treat you fairly; they do not move urgently, and will chalk everything up to anxiety, and/or your chronic illness. As if they know what it's like. They talk bad about patients and make a mockery of them-- within ear shot of them. And nothing is done about it. So many different doctors rotate through the E.R. and most of them are arrogant, and think they know-it-all. When, in fact, patients know their body best and when something is wrong or off. Also, make sure you review your chart and notes for accuracy-- they get stuff wrong all the time! The doctors straight up lie. I've caught things that I did not say, or do. ERRORS such as miscarriage, wrong meds, incomplete history, etc. THIS IS NOT OKAY! I'm speaking from experience, on more than one occasion; it's happened to my family also. We've lost people because of their negligence. This hospital is failing people miserably, and really needs new, knowledgeable, caring, compassionate staff who actually like their job. And not in it for the money. We're not just numbers. I truly hope there is another hospital for Port Clinton residents to go to in the near future!
