You make your own saad by the kitchen area. Everything was tasty. They had cake and ice cream that day but I'm not sure they offer it for ever meal. You can sign up for karaoke . Some people will dance if they like the song. The bar offers $2.75 beer, $4.00 wine (full glass), $1.25 water bottle, and mixed drinks. Met some great people here and heard their stories. I want to call this a small clubhouse with a small stage. This small event provided some really good BBQ, I should have asked where it was from. This place can be booked for events which also has a kitchen. It's right on the corner when you see the stoplight. Parking on the street might be tough so park your car in the park area. I've been attending the Long Beach Pow Wow for a few years now, and while there are definitely…read moreaspects I enjoy, there are also a few things I wish would improve. The vendors are always a highlight--there's a great variety, and I love being able to support Native artisans and small businesses. That part of the experience never disappoints. That said, I really wish the event organizers would make viewing the ceremonies and tribal dancing more accessible. Currently, the only real way to get a good view is by finding a spot on the bleachers, which is incredibly difficult--especially once the event gets busy. It can be frustrating knowing such beautiful and meaningful performances are happening, but not being able to fully see or experience them. It also feels like the surrounding space is largely taken up by tribe tents, which further limits visibility for general attendees. Another challenge is the food. While I'd love to try more of it, the lines are consistently very long--often 50 people deep--making it tough to justify the wait. One thing I do really appreciate is the free parking, which definitely makes attending more convenient. Overall, it's an event with a lot of heart and cultural richness, and I'll likely continue to attend--but I do hope future years bring some improvements in accessibility and flow so more people can fully enjoy everything it has to offer.

I definitely recommend getting there as early as possible and getting in line for food. The Indian Tacos was the highlight of my visit and it's something I hadn't enjoyed since my childhood. I definitely suggest splitting up if you're in a group and getting in different food lines if you're interested in trying out different food vendors. There was some venders and indigenous art and performances that were pretty cool as well and I appreciate that it was a free community event. I wouldn't go out of my way to attend again but I also wouldn't be fully opposed to it either.

I signed up on Google for this tour that takes you around the Arts District with various stops around the neighborhood. A little bit of history for each stop. This is one of stops that is a bit more secured. It's not a secret knock or a code you need to know before entering. You need a reservation or permission to enter as this is now considered private property. We are invited guests so we get to roam around a little of this old factory with the history behind it all. They also invite artists to visit and create a mural for display. We happen to come on a day an artist from Canada was putting on the finishing touches of a mural from a picture he took the night before. It was all done with spray paint on the wall to right as you enter. We were told that a music video was done inside so one of the wall murals was created just for that shoot. Really great stuff to see if you ever get invited.
