Though, Valerie certainly has done her research by sharing sightings based on interviewing the locals and from her own experiences. We learned a lot about the history of the area and the old buildings that make up the neighborhood. It was surprising to learn there were so many mortuaries in the several blocks around the circle! Along with sharing interesting history and paranormal activity at each place where she stopped, from her iPad she also shared old pictures of what the buildings, shops and people looked like in the old days. Those black and white photos did enhance the spooky creepiness of the stories she shared. There were about 25 of us in our group. Valerie maneuvered us so we didn't get lost or separated, and she made sure we didn't get in the way of non-tour group pedestrians. Her audio was loud enough for everyone to hear. She dressed the part of ghost tour leader, lacy black cape and all, and she made the walk fun with her added theatrics. I highly recommend this tour!

Kathy brought along a great variety of props to share and did a great job connecting history with current events. All her materials were relatable and entertaining. Kathy is a great educator. She kept the girls and parents focused and on track with time. She was personable and patient with all sorts of questions the group posed. I recommend her tour to boy and Girl Scout troops. I also look forward to future walking tours with Kathy as she expands the program to include the Crystal Cove area. Totally worth our time even on a hot afternoon. I went on the Pub Crawl in July and it visited The Good Beer Company, C4 Deli, The Copper Door, Native Son Alehouse, and Wursthaus. Native Son was by far my favorite because of the laid back vibe and the selection of beers. Unfortunately The Good Beer Company had a horrendous comedy night going on and The Copper Door had really slow service. Despite those couple of venue issues I really enjoyed the OC Crawl. Highly recommend!
