My daughter was previously enrolled in two different daycares, both of which were difficult experiences due to the lack of care from the caregivers. However, at Mariner Montessori at Galleria, she has had the happiest moments and a wonderful time. She is currently in the Infant 2 class, and her teachers are incredibly caring and loving. They always show genuine empathy for my baby's feelings, and I feel completely comfortable leaving her in their care. The growth and development I've seen in my daughter since she started with them has been remarkable - I'm amazed by her milestones every day. First let me start that I Absolutely loved Infant 2 class. Mrs Ester and Mrs Nancy are Amazing. I felt very comfortable knowing my child was cared for and loved while being away from me. My child learned so many amazing things and was excited to go to school each day. After infant 2, you no longer get activity logs or pictures of your child even though it state ms you will in the parent handbook that you sign. 45 day withdrawal notice without proration so be sure to time it perfectly or you'll lose out on your deposit. My child no longer enjoys going to school and haven't been able to connect with the new teacher with the exception of 1 that has since resigned. 2 of the 3 teachers in Toddler class is no longer there within such a short period of time. . The food is unhealthy (Apple Jacks, ect ) for a 20 month old even-though my child feeding directions show nothing with added sugar. I really want to like this school but with the higher ratios than all of the neighboring schools and multiple undocumented accidents leaving my child with marks and no explanation I just can't recommend this school. $1700 per month, + $150 quarterly supply fee... not bad but not worth it for what you get read more

My little man continues to thrive at Mariner. We can't say enough positive things about the toddler 2 classroom with Ms. Renee, Ms. Mary and Ms. Mallory. My son looks forward to "school" everyday and on the weekends asks to see the pictures of his class from the weekly newsletter. My boys still talk to their old teachers and get to see them every day. It's a family, through and through. I never worry about my kids being exposed to screen time or them developing bad habits with tv, video games or any electronics. The only electronics allowed are the iPads the teachers use to play music or communicate daily activities to parents through the procare app. Positive communication is encouraged and kids are held accountable for not saying "potty" words. In this day and age our kids are exposed to so much early on. Mariner has been a safe haven to keep my boys at appropriate levels of learning and being held accountable for being good humans. The school building is completely renovated and well organized. Parents and students are personally greeted each morning by the school director Ms. Vela. Then you walk into spacious, open, well lit rooms with brand new wooden furniture and a multitude of Montessori training materials. Your young one would be even more impressed by a large outside playground with plenty of space to run for even the most active kids. But it's not the building that makes all the difference at Mariner Montessori. It's the teachers and all the personnel at the school. I was very concerned about my son's transition, but it turned out to be surprisingly successful, all due to the most welcoming and friendly teachers. On the second day he ran into the class, waved to me and kept on running to his teacher. No tears since! For a brand new school, Mariner boasts several teachers with years of experience in Montessori education.
