I filled out a questionnaire specifying what parts I wanted my masseuse to focus on. She didn't ask me any questions and I don't think she read the paper. It wasn't really a massage. It was a lot of her karate chopping, pecking at my skin, pulling limbs. I've had dozens of massages. I don't know what this was. At one point I told her what she was doing was hurting me. I asked her to please focus on my knots even at the expense of passing up time on my lower body. She suggested I acquired the knots from an exercise injury. I reassured her it was from working long hours at a desk. She pulled out a plastic roller to roll over it and applied icy hot. I'm pretty sure she was new to the country which is fine and I believe she tried her best to accommodate me. I don't think she's ever received a massage, don't think she's been properly trained and don't think she gave a massage when applying for the job. So I don't think it's the masseuse's fault, but there should be a little more uniformity in the training of employees. I don't know what that was but it wasn't a massage. Wine and grapes were served at the end which was a sweet touch but the massage itself left me feeling more stressed after than when I came in. When I mentioned my deal was from Groupon she said unfortunately we do not accept weekends ..Adv then I said.. Ok but this is NOT MENTIONED IN THE GROUPON DEAL. It does not clear. She said it was a group fault.. She blame Groupon! And I said "In this case you must honored the deal" ! They put me in hold for almost 5 min! After that other girl was on the line, with many excuses with a lack of education calling me "hey mamita" " terrible customer service! Well the case is she refuse to honor the deal, was very rude and said it was an internal rules. Blah, blah.. And suggest to me if I wanted to accept it " CALL GROUPON AND REFUND THE DEAL " this are our rules. I ask is this the kind of business that offer Heath, Wellness and much more? Is this the kind of treatment that deserve some one that bought a deal they offered? If they offer this with Groupon is because they want more leads, and potential customers. I scheduled an appointment the day before for the following day for a couples massage, facial, wine & fruit for $145. I found this deal off groupon and the lady told us to not even buy it and we'd pay 145 flat. We hop in an uber around 3:35 to then get a text asking to push it to 4:15 for whatever reason.. totally fine because we are on vacation relaxing and its just an extra 15 minutes. During the wait time we received a glass of wine, survey, and cup of strawberries.. The vibe is very nice.. the building had me a bit skeptical as it seemed like a building filled with offices I didn't know what to expect.. Once we walked in it felt like the spa wasn't even apart of the building! The people were very welcoming and I had a great quiet experience overall. My boyfriend (who has gone to numerous spas before) said it was equivalent to any other experience as for me my first time I feel great! The only reason why I can't give 5 stars is because she didn't do any extractions and I really needed it since I have pro acne skin, which I mentioned when I scheduled the appointment . This is the worst place to get a massage/facial. Never will I return here. My boyfriend surprised me for my birthday and It was just so terrible I apologized to him for spending money. I felt so bad. First of all they called me the night before at 9 o'clock asking if I can come in before my reservation time. An hour before as if we didn't have plans. We get there and the lady looks just plain annoyed.. so it was a bit awkward. We go into the room and she starts the massage.. the worst thing ever. There is no possible way these people have a license to massage. She just DUG her fingers and forearms into my back and arms. My pain was obvious, I was cringing. The phone outside kept ringing, she sighed every three minutes, opened the door three different times during my massage. This was just a horrible experience overall. If you've gotten a REAL massage at a real massage therapy place you would understand my frustration. The "facial" was a joke. She put seven different lotions and hurt my face with a weird device. I ran out of there and didn't even have the wine or the dried up three pieces of pineapple she offered me. I wanted to get out of there ASAP. I hope no one gets fooled by the other good reviews. Bellisima offered a groupon literally half the cost of what most spas charge for a couples massage. - Even though my boyfriend & I arrived a few mins late, they still gave us the full hour massage. - At some point I fell asleep. That has to be a good sign right? Cons: -It's a bit far out of the way. In a cab it took 30 mins from South Beach, where our hotel is located. -Some of the techniques caused more discomfort than relaxation. - They could've been a little more professional. Let me start by saying I rarely leave bad reviews but this time I feel like I need to make others aware of how bad this place is. I went because I got a Groupon. My appointment was at 2:30 pm and I arrived at 2pm to be able to fill out the paperwork. I was told by the very nice front desk lady that they were backed up and only had 2 therapists so my appointment had to be delayed. I said I would wait the 30 min, ended up waiting an hour. The massage therapist Victorio comes to the front and starts talking to the front desk lady about my appointment as if I wasn't right in front of him. I had ask for a few more minutes of massage since I was waiting for AN HOUR! He starts telling me that he can't because he has a very complex massage right after mine. I said ok, maybe next time I come, let's just do the 60 min today then. Then Victorio starts saying that he won't be able to extend any massages at any point in time because that is part of his time nobody is paying him and that he's been doing that for 15 years and is manager in Massage Envy and has never extended any massages( not sure how that had anything to do with adding 10 min to my massage). At this point I'm uncomfortable with the conversation, I feel like my time has no value to this person and don't want even getting a massage with this person. I verbalized it just like that to the front desk in front of him. He started questioning why I was uncomfortable with getting the massage and he said "I'm sorry for you". How can a professional be so disrespectful? I was mind blown. At this point it was so uncomfortable but I have this place one more chance by agreeing to get the massage with the other therapist. The front desk lady comes out after talking to her and says she said she couldn't because she's closing "cuentas". Imagine at this point it was 3:45pm and the place closes at 5pm. Why would she be closing more than an hour earlier? Who knows, point is she didn't do it either. So I asked to talk to the owner Maria. When I talk to Maria and explained what happened she said: I can't give you any more time because I'm loosing money since you have a Groupon and they pay me very little. I replied that she was going to be losing a customer because her employees were so disrespectful to my time and she was failing at addressing the situation. She said she was going to give me 10 min extra, and she specified again ONLY 10 min at her other location. I obviously declined and said I would be leaving a comment so that everyone knows about my bad experienced and she started yelling in Spanish and telling me to do whatever I wanted. They are very professional, the atmosphere is quiet and relaxing, and they were very accommodating to our schedule since we are here on vacation. I booked a couple's massage and facial for my boyfriend's birthday at this place and wow do I regret it. The massage was more like a pet down with lotion and while the music and lighting made for a nice ambiance it couldn't possibly make up for the flaky mess of product that remained on my face as I walked out of the "spa". I went back and had the staff remove the tinted sunscreen she had lathered on my face and still, after leaving the second time, I am now going home to clean myself up from this "facial" before we can continue his birthday celebration. I went to the Kendall location for the facial, everyone was very reassuring and helpful, I felt very comfortable which was amazing because I was a nervous wreck. Amazing, relaxing, and tranquil massages. I bought a couples massage on groupon and went in ona Saturday morning. They were quick and corteous and super nice. The massage itself was also great. Very relaxing and quiet with the typical ambient music playing. They had the usual amazing oils, smells and towels etc. My favorite part was the consistency of the pressure throughout the massage. I normally like deep pressure and most people dont always have the endurance to keep it up throughout and they did amazing. Especially for my boyfriend who likes deeper pressure. Booked a couple's massage and facial on Groupon. I called to schedule for 10 am on Valentine's Day. Two days later they call to say we had to move our appointment to 9 because they double booked us. I had to rearrange our breakfast plans but it was ok. We arrived about 5 minutes late because of traffic but that's ok because the masseuse showed up about 5 minutes after us. They rushed around trying to get ready for us. Finally the massage starts. I wish I had understood that this was going to be my husband getting a massage while I got a facial and then they'd switch around half way through. But again it's ok. The woman who was doing the facial portion left the room multiple times and would go in another room and slam through cabinets and drawers and then reappear. Not exactly sure what she kept leaving to get or do but it happened 4-5 times within the hour we were there. The ladies were very nice and the massage was nice but it was difficult to fully relax with the noise and interruptions. Probably would not return even with a Groupon. Overall the ladies were very nice but the professionalism needs some work. Offer beverage before the service. Ask the client if there's any area they'd like targeted. Explain the service they are getting that day. Make sure everything needed is in the room so the service isn't stopped multiple times. And get a better scheduling system so that clients don't have to rearrange things because you double booked. read more
