When I contacted Tony, he said he could do it while I waited. Before he did the job, he gave me every opportunity to change my mind, as he told me all the uncertainties of having a lengthened shaft. I told him to go ahead anyway, as I have a backup shaft. Very happy with his approach, professionalism with me, and the great job he did with the shaft. She was literally rolling her eyes at a customer that was on the phone for asking questions, speaking very rudely and did not answer their questions. Stated she would answer their questions when they arrive and abruptly hung up. Did not greet me and just said " how many". After paying for my tickets I asked a simple question regarding the mini golf as it was our first time. She answered very shortly with an attitude as if I'm dumb for even asking. If I were management I would take her off front desk and have her clean the croc feces. Never returning due to this horrible experience.

The Summerhill tea room is beautifully decorated with many quaint UK items to check out…read more Unfortunately that is greatly over shadowed by horribly over priced cafeteria-tasting food, and the worst service we have ever experienced. My mother, grandmother and myself went to Summerhill tea room for their high tea and were very disappointed. We stole menus,cutlery and napkins from the canisters on neighboring tables as there were non on our table. The menu selection was very small. We decided to order the high tea. High tea for three ~39.00 + tax. In addition we decided to also order each a side of soup and Irish bread for $3.95 + tax The menu said "a selection of sandwiches, crumpets and desserts." We received less than a half sandwich each, 1 tart and 1 crumpet. Our hot water for our tea had not yet reached a boil. We waited 80 minutes for our food. The waitress forgot our tea that was included. I had to go into the back and ask her for our tea. There was no one in the tea room but us during our entire time there (2+hours). When we first arrive an elderly couple and their grandchild were preparing to leave the cafe. Their table went uncleaned until our food was brought out to our table (80 minutes). At the time to pay we tracked down our waitress again in the back room and asked for the bill. She then stood at our table, waiting for us to split our bill. The food was terrible, especially for the price we paid. Our total came to $63.00 + change. I ordered the cauliflower and nutmeg soup. It was very bland, and chunky. I have never seen or tasted cauliflower soup such as this. It was less than 1 cup on soup in a small tea cup. The soup itself tasted like a stewed sock. The Irish bread was moist but was baked with way too much salt and all three of us opted to leave it on our plates. The high tea "sandwich" consisted of one triangle piece of stale bread with 3 thin slices of cucumber atop it. No seasoning, no cream cheese. Nothing. One oddly cut circle of stale bread smaller than my palm with a spoonful of egg salad atop it. No seasoning, very bland again. And one 1" by 1" square stale bread with salmon and a top on it. The 1 crumpet we got each was the only part I enjoyed. Although I suspect it was purchased, not fresh baked. The small 1.5" custard tart on top was also tasty and I suspect store bought. After our "high tea" we headed downtown to another restaurant where we had a lovely lunch as we were very hungry upon leaving Summerhill. A huge disappointment all around. As someone with experience with high tea in Glasgow Scotland I was highly disappointed and very embarrassed to have suggested this location to my guests. This has, at least, created an experience that I think we will laugh about for a long time. The giggling kept us fairly entertained for the 2+ hours in the tea room.

I will do just about anything to get in front of adorably stacked snacks, heart-warming liquids and good company. Summerhill B&B is the most casual, kitschy tea time I've ever experienced, but it's still special enough to merit five stars. The scones, tarts and cucumber sandwiches were aces. They overdo the fish sandwiches a little bit (tuna sandwiches are just kind of blah), but the overall atmosphere (ran by an actual English woman) is so cute I'll let it slide.

We found this place on Airbnb but decided to check their website for a better price without as many fees, tuee helped me process the deposit and reserve our cottage a month in advance We bought firewood from their store (only $11), and from a stand nearby, corn and ice cream. We were also able to roast marshmallows and potatoes in a foil, in the fire pit. Loved being able to swim in their pool (was cold though as it's not heated) and the lake, being able to kayak (single or double persons, and try stand up paddle boarding. They said they have eggs and butter but throughout our stay, they didn't have either. People also bring stuff to fish - we didn't try fishing Bring $200 for deposit in cash for easiest return. They have an arts/kids room with dollar tree items (like the standing unicorn), but it's nice to provide an indoor space for kids to play in. They say it's only available to play if you purchase crafts from them. You have to bring your own bedding and towels, or can rent - 4 sets cost $60. We have to throw our own trash and keep the place clean for next guests The cuttings of grass was quite annoying because after we walked to our cottage, all the grass stuck to our feet and legs and into the cottage. They cut grass every day we were there. The broom didn't have a dustpan to get rid of all the cuttings inside the cottage They also have a small discount for return visitors.

The splash pad is not as big but gets the job done. The zoo has many interesting animals like camels, goats, capybaras, alpacas, otters and many more. There is a train at the far end of the zoo for a short but fun train ride at a minimal cost. Price of admission is $0! So even if you're there just a short time, it's totally worth it if it's on your way. Parking can be limited on weekends or holidays due to how busy it gets.

2024 review Today is a beautiful hot day for the beach and…read morewe arrived comfortably around 11am and parking was slowly filling up on the closer lots. $5/hour or $40 all day, there is parking police patrolling when we arrived. We chose to park on the west end by the boat marinas and it's a close walk to the white sand beach and lighthouse pier. Few more minutes to walk to the info hub, food truck and washrooms make it pretty easy anywhere on beach. The washrooms are also next to two simple playgrounds and splash pads. Nothing fancy but good place to rinse off the kids before getting back into the car. The sand is freshly groomed and very soft. Minor pebbles, debris that the kids could walk bare feet on. There was lots of space to play and set up camp, not as busy as expected especially arriving this late in the morning. In my honest opinion, while sitting on the towel ground, I could smell an odd aroma. It's probably an algae smell in the water and sands lingering around. I preferred sitting higher up from the wet sand and trenches the kids were digging up to get more airflow. No one else seemed to mind but when the gentle breeze wasn't blowing there was a weird smell. Feedback from my partner said the water is nice but as you go out further, there was some algae pockets in the lake sand making it kinda gross and slimy. Important to check by laws about what you can or cannot bring to the beach. There is frequent beach police patrolling the sands. Today's water quality levels online and on the beach showed it to be really low. Always check beach water quality before leaving as some have been in the red this summer. All in all, a decent place to go for a nice sandy beach. Kites, frisbee, water blow up toys, sand castles and kayaks in the water, this place is pretty chill to hang out at. The kids are having fun today and want to come back.
