    Ants
    Jacob W.

As with any apartments, there are the positives and the negatives. The biggest positive, and what truly suckers everyone into ultimately deciding to have bells bluff as their place of residence, is the amenities. Not often can you find a place with two pools and two work out areas. It probably also helps that the floor plans look nice with a good looking island. With all of that said, I need to state the negatives, or atleast things you must consider before choosing to live at bells bluff apartments. First, if you are not in the main building and want to use the amenities, expect to either drive up or walk a half mile just to get to the main building, if you live in one of the outer buildings(I currently live in building 13). I currently walk everyday to workout, and i like to think of it as a nice half mile warm up there and cool down half mile walk back. The biggest negative to this place is by far the pests. Since the door to your apartment goes directly outside, there are always a plethora of bugs hanging on the stairs and other critters outside of your apartment. With them being outside of your apartment, you would think that is fine, but the biggest problem is actually the ants. I have currently been residing for 3 months, and have had a big ant problem. I have contacted pest control multiple times, and have seen them physically spray next to doors, windows, and any seal for them to enter, and it doesn't help. I am a very clean person(I thoroughly clean once a week) and I see ants atleast once a week. After just cleaning one day, I woke up to a parade of over one hundred ants crawling between my cabinets and the sink, and there was no food in the cabinets! You wouldn't think ants would be a problem, until you realize that you are constantly killing them, having pest control come, and them just not leaving ever! Now to wrap it all up. I have absolutely enjoyed my time at bells bluff so far! I can't deny that the amenities are truly some of the best I have ever seen and been able to use. I just need any future residents to not get quite as blinded by them as I did, and realize that there is a problem that really cannot be fixed, and that is the pests and ants. There are so many apartments with insides of apartments that are just as nice, if not better, for the same cost of around $1700 for a single bedroom. If I could choose again, I would be in an apartment without pest problems, hands down, as this place has by far the worst pest problem I have ever seen.

I moved to Nashville back in January, and I felt in love with this place! Is surreal!

Couldn't say enough how beautiful this property is! I had a brand new studio on the top floor on the right side building off of the main amenities area. The views were spectacular, and the office staff was great! I was one of their first tenants in the upper buildings - Tory, Kendrick & Cindy were great!

The living room in the WINDOWS unit. This view is EVERYTHING!!!!

OMG! This property is not yet complete, but the views at this property are absolutely breathtaking!!! I've been to so many properties in Nashville and I'd just about given up until I came here! Kendrick was super nice and went out of his way to help me and provide me with information. I'm so glad I came by!!! Seriously breathtaking views!!! I can not wait to move in. I finally feel like I'm going to like it here in Nashville.

I especially loved working with Patti, one of the leasing agents here. I've known her as a resident for several years, and she was invaluable and savvy in helping me renew my lease this year. The maintenance staff, including Moe and Ryan, and our outstanding concierge, Stanley, are accommodating, upbeat, and seem to enjoy working here, which adds that extra special touch. Thank you to everyone on the team for all that you do! I highly recommend moving here!

DO NOT MOVE HERE. This building is nowhere near the "luxury"…read moreexperience they advertise. The biggest issue is the management--it's absolutely terrible. Communication with residents is minimal or nonexistent, and the building is consistently mismanaged. When communication does happen, it is not timely or informative and is usually condescending. In the 8 months I've lived here, there have been around 70 car break-ins across both the free and "secure" parking areas. At least two residents have already moved out due to severe mold problems (particularly on the northwest side of the building). The building itself feels run down and outdated. Many amenities are poorly maintained or completely unusable. The front desk concierge is rarely at the desk because management is chronically understaffed and has them running errands instead. If you want to switch units within the building, they charge you $1000 just to move. You're also forced to use their $30/month trash valet, even if you live steps away from the trash chute--and right now trash is piling up because the chute is out of order. The prices listed on their website are misleading; residents pay much more, and if you want to renew without a price hike, you have to fight it out with the corporate office. One of the most disturbing issues is the handling of resident safety and welfare. During my time here, two residents in their 30s have died by suicide. In one case, the individual passed away in their apartment and went undiscovered for a month, despite multiple wellness check requests from friends, family, and the police. Management claimed "policy" prevented them from acting. The resident was only found after maintenance responded to reports of an odor. This situation was deeply troubling and raises serious concerns about the building's response protocols and duty of care. The only positives are the maintenance team and leasing staff. They are quick, friendly, and genuinely skilled. Overall, there is nothing "luxury" about this building except the rent. Save yourself the frustration and look elsewhere. Capitol View and their parent company Northwood Ravin do not care about retaining you as a resident nor do they have your well being at heart.

Finding a great place to live in Nashville is hard enough, but my apartment search came with a…read moremassive hurdle: I didn't have standard W2 income. Most property management companies would have immediately stamped a "no" on my application and moved on. Fortunately, I met Madi Rose at The Morris. Madi was the leasing agent who gave me my initial tour, and she genuinely worked miracles to help me get approved and moved in. On top of being a miracle worker with the application process, her tour was top-tier and made me fall in love with the building immediately. The Units & Amenities The apartments here are sleek, modern, and renovated. You get high ceilings, stainless steel appliances, and gorgeous dark walnut floors and cabinets. Noise insulation is incredible--despite being in Music City and right near Vanderbilt (a mix that usually guarantees late-night noise), I have literally never been bothered by sound. The thick concrete construction does heavy lifting here. The community amenities are equally impressive: -19th-Floor Sky Deck: The rooftop pool, gym, lounge, and deck sit 19 floors up with incredible views. -Music Practice Room: A clutch addition for a city full of musicians. -Package Security: Concierge handles packages reliably, so you never have to worry about missing deliveries. -Hotel Style Bellhop Carts: It's probably still best for you to buy a wagon, but the building has hotel-style carts you can use. Service & Maintenance -Madi has remained an absolute lifesaver post-move-in. Whenever I've had questions, she's super communicative and makes sure I feel heard. Case in point: when I couldn't find my ONT box for fiber internet, she personally walked me through taking down the Leviton panel to get plugged in. That level of hands-on support is super rare. AT&T's phone rep couldn't even do that. -Maintenance is just as sharp. I had a minor issue with my dishwasher, put in a ticket, and they were at my door same-day to get it fixed quickly. The Minor Nitpicks No place is 100% perfect, so a couple of realistic notes: -The Floors: The wood floors have a wax coating that had a few pre-existing scuffs/breaks when I moved in. -Window Coverings: The electronic window shades are a cool feature, but the fabric is a bit sheer. If you need pitch-black darkness to sleep, you might struggle with the light bleed. -Parking: The garage is (mis)managed by Metropolis, which comes with the usual Metropolis headaches--zero enforcement for people double-parking or squeezing massive F-350s into designated compact spots. The Verdict I've lived in plenty of terrible apartments over the years, and I honestly don't remember ever giving a 5-star review to a residential building before. Trust me when I say The Morris is easily the best complex I've ever lived in. Between the management, the building quality, and the amenities, I'm fully planning on staying here for the next 2 to 3 years.

Since this is so close to downtown, it's obviously going to be pricey. And it's gated because it's in a kind of ghetto area. My biggest problem with the gate (and doors too) was getting visitors in. When people use the PIN pad to punch in, it calls your phone, and then you have to punch a number on your phone to let them in. But it's very finicky. Sometimes it would take me five times punching my phone before the gate/door would open for the guest. It was really annoying. Other than that, I enjoyed living here. They'd have fun events every month in the clubhouse, like wine and painting nights, St. Patrick's Day parties, and food trucks in the parking lot. Every building has an elevator too, which is great. They have a fitness center, game room, and they even let you reserve the bar area or game room for a few hours if you want to host a party. The only other bad thing that was annoying was that they wouldn't allow you to nail decorations to the wall, so you had to tape or Velcro everything. Maintenance was great. If there were ever any plumbing or electrical issues, they'd be there right away. If you can afford it, I'd definitely recommend OMC. But it is quite expensive, which is one reason I moved. But I'd say it's worth it if you've got the money to spare. It's super convenient and just a couple miles from the heart of downtown.
