I've lived here a little over 3 years and so far have had a mostly positive experience. Quieter than the average complexes I've lived in in the past and are generally very prompt on service issues. Primarily came on to give a shout out to one of their maintenance workers, David- my door system went offline and he went above and beyond when it come to getting the situation rectified as soon as possible. He's assisted with other maintenance repairs I've had and been very knowledgeable and been able to take care of the issue without having it linger into another day or past the weekend. Glad to know he is on staff and trustworthy. read more

Legacy Hill is absolutely the worst apartment I have lived in. We moved in there was glue all over the floor from the very cheap vinyl panels they put in. Floor was stained and dirty and dusty. There was obvious dirt and hair that was just painted over with. The master bedroom door was broken and too small to fit in the frame. There was noticeable damage on the roof in the living room, roof of the dining room, one bedroom roof, and the bathroom doorway. The breaker for the bathrooms goes off even when not being used. Our first week in there the kitchen sink backed up and overflowed with used and greasy water, that took 6 hours for Maintenace to show up and then another 6 hours for a real crew to come fix the issue. The apartment ruined our washer and dryer with a smell that could only be described as a wet dog playing in urine and feces. Had to completely buy a new washer and dryer once we moved out. On top of all these issues and damage the water heater is barely big enough for you to take a 5-minute hot shower. The front desk staff Clara would only care and help anyone from Middle Eastern Descent even when they are running around and stomping upstairs all hours of the night and screaming and jumping off furniture. When presented with proof all she would say is I cant hear anything. My family and I were certainly targeted because of our race and myself being a Veteran, by residents and staff alike. After suffering these horrible living conditions, we moved out without having to pay anything and then a week later revise it to try to get 1000 dollars out of us. I slept in a field for weeks at a time in the US Army and that was a better environment than these horrid apartments. I would rather live in a dumpster on fire than ever set foot in the parking lot again. If you are white and/or a military veteran stay far away. You will be harassed and discriminated against. read more

Honestly this is the best apartment I've lived in. I love the tucked away location, while still being so close to downtown. The Dog Run is great for my Border Collie. The staff are always very friendly and have remained consistent since I moved in back in October '22. I really couldn't ask for more. But I definitely feel that David (the community's Do It All/Handyman) is the secret behind why this complex is so fantastic. He's always kind and courteous but most importantly he's extremely proficient at his job. Any time I place a work order, it is handled within 24hrs regardless of it's seriousness. And the repairs are always spot on. I don't have to worry about calling again because the issue wasn't completely resolved. Nor do I have to worry about my dog as David is very kind to him. And best yet, there's rarely a trace of him ever being there. The one time David wasn't able to fix everything the first try, he communicated perfectly what was needed for him to finish the job and provided a very timely window as to when the issue would be fully resolved. I've lived in numerous complexes over the past 14 years, across 3 different states and this has been the easiest apartment situation I've had. Plus I was even able to convince a buddy of mine to move in to another unit over a year ago and he renewed his lease as well! read more

Hate updating a review on the negative end, but here we are. I lived at Legacy Hill for over 3 years, and up till the last 4 months, it was ok. Not my favorite but a good option that was conveniently located. When I received my renew letter, it stated to please review as "pricing may have changed." Well, may have changed actually means increased by over $350, PER MONTH. I understand the Nashville market is hot at the moment, so get asking for more of incoming renters, but to jump it that high for current tenants without warning, not acceptable. That made me decide to move immediately. What they were asking me to pay - not worth it. So I signed a new lease (for more than what I would have paid with the increase). The difference is that my new place is worth it. New appliances, hardwood floors, clean exterior, gated. Legacy Hill is simply not worth it. Then comes the process of moving out. Thank goodness I had the brains to take a video of them walking through my apartment as they did their final move out inspection, as otherwise they would have tried to charge me expenses for items. When moving out - video it people. CYA! Had to email several times to even set that up. Now I'm out, and much happier in my new space. Still get two stars instead of one because the location is convenient and maintenance always responded timely. But the entire move out experience was incredibly disheartening and I'm sorry for those who have to go through that in the future. read more

Clare was the best Manager I have ever dealt with. The property itself was gorgeous at every time of year. The only down side to the entire review would be the occasional pest problem or noisy neighbors but that is typical. If you think you want a nice place to move into with beautiful scenery, I would strongly recommend Legacy Hill. read more

I've only been here a short while. But my whole experience has been great so far. Clara has gone above and beyond to help us move in and help with whatever we needed. We had a few issues with our hallway toilet, but our maintenance guy was always there as soon as I put in a request. It's been very pleasant so far. And would highly recommend to anyone. read more

okay- so two stars only because they handled the neighbors upstairs being crazy, but only two stars because wow. Everything was falling apart the whole time, our AC went out twice, the refrigerator went out, the bathroom and kitchen leaked and basically flooded, and the doors to the washer and dryer stayed falling off. When maintenance did come- they were super rude and unhappy the whole time. On top of alllll that, when we moved out we had it professionally cleaned per our lease agreement, and then more than an MONTH after we moved out, they contacted us trying to charge us $400 for new carpets. I asked what was wrong and could i come and see what they were talking about but wouldn't you know it they had already replaced the carpets and THEN charged us. :-) how nice. Completely bullshit, they did the walkthrough and said everything looked good and then literally over a month later they bill us. When i called nobody could help me or knew what they were doing at all. Do not move here. DO NOT MOVE HERE. update- they responded as you can see- yes i understand that the move out condition is compared to the move IN. what else would you compare it to? my issue was/is that the apartment manager walked through the apartment and said everything looked good and we would be getting our deposits back BUT THEN a MONTH after move out we get a fat bill for the carpet and i said no way that's possible let me see what you mean and it was very conveniently AFTER they had replaced the carpet they reached out. that's literally so stupid. the management here is a J O K E i am telling you. Living here has been the worst experience of any place I have ever lived. I am thankful because they have allowed me to break my lease due the brown recluse infestation in my apartment (even though now the billing lady is giving me issues about it). Brown recluses came out of the ceiling light fixtures, behind the toilets, under the fridge, etc One fell on my 6yr olds head while he sat on the end of his bed and one bit my 3yr old in the bed. When I moved in, I was putting stuff away that was laying on the floor (furniture hadn't been delivered yet) and when I picked up my stuff, it was covered in ants. Pest control came and treated a week later (they only come in Fridays) and put traps down. The first night I caught a huge spider but had no idea what it was. Pest control came the next Friday, looked at the huge spiders in my traps but said nothing (I found out later that they don't want to cause panic and wait for you to bring it up) I have a 3yr old and a 6yr old. They didn't consider the brown recluses in my apartment an "emergency" so they would only send pest control on Friday but I work from home and have video meetings. They could never tell me the times that pest control would be there and I couldn't have them walking around in the background of my apartment while in important work meetings so I ended up trying to treat the problem on my own & bring in my own exterminator. I couldn't afford the "dust treatment" but I did my best. It wasn't until my 3yr old was bit by one in the bed that they started to "care". I found at-least 50 brown recluse spiders, adults and babies, in my traps (not including the ones on my ceiling and light fixtures, from August til end of September/beginning of October. I was advised by their pest control to find somewhere else for my kids to stay until they got the spider situation under control, which took the entire month of October. They didn't care about the money I spent (on-top of October's rent) to find other places to stay, the medical costs for my son's bite, the traps and sprays and exterminator that I paid for on my own when their pest control could only come on Friday's, etc and refused to reimburse me. My neighbor also found brown recluse spiders and when she called the office, they did nothing. Since the brown recluses live in walls, treating one apartment won't get rid of the problem. They said they won't treat the building because one of the ladies upstairs has an elderly cat with health issues and she doesn't want them putting any chemicals in her apartment On top of the brown recluses, the noise is out of control. I could hear entire conversations of the people above me. We could hear their alarms go off in the morning, every foot step they make sounds like 2 ton elephant walking around. Do yourself a favor and do not live here. read more

We have been living a year at Legacy Hill and are now moving on. Our experience has been great and made especially easier by the helpful staff. Clara at the main office is always willing to listen and very helpful with answering any questions or concerns we have. These apartments definitely need a ton of TLC. I was pressed for time on moving and unfortunately didn't get the opportunity to view the community before signing a lease. When i went to pick up my keys, no one even offered to show me around since I previously hadn't. Simply provided a map and that was that. The closet in the 1-bedroom is a major issue! I appreciate the up-grade, but the layout is awkward and you can't even get to a section of the closet due to a wall! Did someone not think about this before construction? Also, the closet upgrade doesn't even match the rest of the apartment! The floors creak with every single step you take. The walls are literally paper thin! I got the privilege of listening to my neighbor snore every single night! The "parking fee" is pretty much a joke. If you aren't going to manage a process, why charge people to park? I didn't have my pass in my car for months and never was an issues. So are you just trying to get more money? I will say I enjoyed the area because it was close to Bellevue, but if you work downtown then be prepared to be in traffic for 45 minutes for your commute! read more

We have been at Legacy Hill apartments nearly four years for my schooling in Nashville, TN. The front desk staff have always been accommodating and maintenance requests responded to within 24 hours. Pretty sure I have had them even come the day of we put a request in. We have had to unfortunately make a noise complaint about one neighbor and they promptly handled it. That was our only issue and now that we have moved into a top apartment we have been fine. In fact, we are friends with most of our neighbors. I agree with another comment that if you wanted family or friends to stay for a trip that there is plenty of parking for them. I do see the one star review about the brown recluse issue and to be fair that was not just this apartment complex that was afflicted that summer into fall. That was reported in the whole surrounding area. If you spray bug spray at least once a month around the apartment it will keep the spiders out. We no longer have them. If we did not have to move for a job offer we would stay here as long as we could. read more

If you are "helped" by an agent named Chris... just ask for someone else. The guy works at two different apartment complexes and gets his information wrong all the time. He seems to have an issue with honesty as well, which I picked up on after he told my wife and me that he was "top-security clearance in the CIA". What a joke... The manager was more helpful but the apartments themselves were dank and musty. No natural light, very depressing with appliances that haven't been updated in a long time. Still would have been live-able, but this Chris guy convinced us to live elsewhere due to misinformation, lack of willingness to help, and overall douchiness. read more

BE WARNED. They will entice you with "low rent," but tack on over $100 in fees each month, Not including $89 sewer bill and $20 parking PER VEHICLE IN A STANDARD LOT. It's insane. Amazing pool with the best view of Nashville in a great neighborhood less than a mile away from Percy Warner park. I've lived here almost 4 years w good reason. You're not going to find a better property for the money within 60 miles of downtown. The residents are fantastic, full of a diverse group of young professionals and families. No valet trash, plenty of parking, and the business center has both PC and Mac, (having a choice of Windows or OS X, 24/7 scores bonus points for this IT guy). Newly renovated gym, it's kept clean and the machines are serviced regularly. I highly recommend. read more

I have been living at Legacy Hill for about a year and a half now, and I love it! The location is great--I'm just twenty minutes from my job in the city, and the drive to work is breathtaking. Beautiful trees, bubbling creeks, and gorgeous houses make up the backroads drive from Legacy Hill to Nashville. The staff have been so helpful over the several months of my residence at Legacy Hill. The maintenance man, Mr. David, is a friendly face to see around the complex, and he always responds promptly and adeptly to maintenance requests. Mercedi in the front office is the most reliable emailer in town and so kind. I have always been pleased with her efficiency and genuine desire to help me. Having a Kroger, Aldi, Publix, and Trader Joe's all within about ten minutes or less makes grocery-shopping convenient, and Nashville offers an amazing variety of restaurants for when I want to eat out. I regularly hike at the Percy and Edwin Warner Parks, which offer some of the prettiest views around town. I truly love my apartment, and I think it's one of the best deals Nashville's competitive renter's market has to offer. I look forward to many more months calling Legacy Hill home! read more

I feel the need to post a positive review on here because I really do love living here! I'm not understanding the one-star reviews AT ALL; there must have been miscommunication or something wrong with their units. I highly recommend Legacy Hill apartments -- a GREAT value for its location in Nashville. I had moved here from Cincinnati and was shocked at how expensive Nashville rent was... could not find anything nice for under $900, unless I wanted to live far away (was trying to find a place close to Vanderbilt... if you want to live near Vanderbilt, forget about anything under $1200!). So, the rent cost for this place is fantastic compared to other similar apartments. My first impression coming to tour the apartments was that the floor plan was nice and the rooms were clean. The actual unit I moved into was exactly like the one I toured. I didn't always have that "clean" impression when I toured other apartments around the same price range ($1000/month). Anyway, I've lived here over 2 years now and plan on renewing until we find a condo or house! What we love about the place: - Peaceful, just tucked away from the main street 70S but easy to turn the corner and get to Vanderbilt, plus close to shopping (Krogers, TJ Maxx, restaurants, and a few miles later you get Michael's, Sprouts, etc). Right next to the bus line, which my husband takes to Vanderbilt. - Safe. The residents are nice here. If there is anyone causing a ruckus, smoking weed, or leaving dog poos everyone, you'll get an email from the staff. They really care to maintain a clean environment for us to live. - 24/7 gym access (small gym but fine, even though it's small, it's not crowded. Often I'm alone working out or one other person), summer swimming pool, laundry room (although lately we bought our own laundry machines), a cute computer/gift wrap room that I'm not sure if people know about that has 24/7 card access. - I like the staff! I think they really try to cater to our needs and maintain a good environment. I'm sure it's hard trying to manage all the residents, but they really try. They send out cards and goodies for holidays like Halloween and Christmas. They have social events once in a while (I can never go though). - Very quick service requests performed. I've placed maybe 5 service requests and everything is done within the day. - How the floor plan looks. We've gotten compliments from guests. - Vanderbilt employee discount! - A dog park (we never use) and a small jungle jim / playyard for kids, and a sharable outdoor grill - Our heat/AC worked fine. No problems there. - I'm not sure about fees that others were talking about. There are utility fees, electric bill, and parking on top of the monthly rent, but combined is still cheaper than many other places. Limitations / what we wish the apartment had: - One bedroom apartments lack enough closet space. Not Legacy Hill's fault but just warning you guys. Besides shallow closets in the bedroom, there is one coat closet. That's it. So we definitely had to minimize upon moving in. We wish that apartment had more closets. I think the 2 or 3- bedroom layouts are better for that. - I think most apartments around Nashville operate the same way, but you have to pay for a parking pass. I think it's $10/month or something like that, which is reasonable. But just another thing to pay for. Guests can park free and anywhere though. - We wished our one-bedroom had more windows, but again not Legacy Hill's fault. I lived here by myself for one year, then my husband moved in (from Cincinnati) for our second year. Now we're sharing our one-bedroom with a new baby for our third year :) Might consider upgrading to a 2 or 3- bedroom at Legacy once the baby gets older. Hope this review helps! I think professional communication about any issues with the staff (of any apartment) is critical. I know other apartments with rude or inconsiderate staff, but I didn't get that feeling here. It has been great living in these apartments!! My family and I have lived here for almost 4 years, and have no complaints. The office staff are very nice and personable. They have weekly landscaping which keeps the area clean and presentable. Maintenance staff is always very nice and helpful when we have needed them, which has been rare for us to even need them. We love that there are plenty of areas to walk our dogs, the clean pool, workout room by the office has new equipment, free movie rental from the office. Percy Warner Park is less than 5 minutes from us, which is an awesome place for hiking, picnicking, running, and relaxing. We are 20 minutes from downtown Nashville, 30 minutes from Franklin, and 15 minutes from Green Hills Mall. It is a quiet and safe community and we couldn't have asked for a better area to start our lives in Nashville. read more

My time at Legacy Hill equals fantastic. I rented a spacious two bedroom apartment and had rotated out several roommates for 3+ years. Kitchen and bathroom amentities functional and in good working condition. Washer and Dryer hook ups are a must for me and I rented my washer and dryer from a service for my time at LH. Maintenance guys are the best ever. If I had a problem with anything I report it and they respond same day or next. Leasing staff was plesant to work with and made living there an ease. Other perks were a awesome quite community, pool, gym, grill and picnic, kiddo playground, and 15m walk to Percy Warner. If you're looking to move to Nashville, this is the place. read more

Beware of these people, the staff here are dishonest and unprofessional. They will charge lots of additional fees and upon move out they have a policy to never give the deposit back. When I voiced my concerns about the charges their response was "we are running a business here...we will have our lawyers sue you unless...if you dont leave we will call the police." Dont believe me...check out their other reviews online besides the obvious ones written by management you will find a lot of other tales similar to mine...I wish I had read them first before signing my lease with them. read more

My daughter rented her first apt here and we were so excited UNTIL we are 5 months into a 1 yr lease and her apartment has flooded 4 times!!!! nasty grey water that they have blamed on her washer despite us having it checked and knowing that wasnt the problem. Now the kitchen has milky water running over the sinks and out of the dishwasher and down the hall. This has ruined many things in the floor and the manager had the nerve to say she "wouldnt leave nice shirts in the floor"!!!! NOW 4th flood, its almost Christmas, she is a student with 3 jobs and is very busy but instead of meeting with her today the manager says due to Holidays and being alone in the office it's too inconvenient to meet until after Holidays. Are you kidding me. The maintenance man has always been nice and respectful but its crazy to pay rent and be expected to tolerated nasty floods consistently and be treated like you want to much to meet with them.
